"I have no interest or quarrel with you. Pass along. Interfere and die." "He came to our town! He destroyed our town! We were small and healthy - then he came and everyone went mad!" "Madness and sanity...you cannot comprehend. There is a future, and you are not a part of it..." *cough* "I'm not quite dead!" -

At the foot of the terrifying Unholy Mountains, where ancient wars tore the earth into unatural geometries, you find a great battle raging! The snow around is ringed with mutilated bodies of dead villagers - clearly pressed into service as soldiers. "This ends here, MONAD!" The necromancer takes a moment, and afixes you all with a gaze colder than the snow. "No." "I don't know what you've been up to, but that won't stop me from stopping you!" The deathpriest is nonplussed, regarding the prophet like a feline. "For you, when I relive you of your low consciousness, that unthinking existence you take for life - your death will be the most significant event of your life. For me?" He pointed a finger, and threw a unspeakable ray of necrotic energy. "Ahh!" "For me, it was Thörsday." -

This project exists due to disagreements I had with 2.0+a desire for 1.0 gaming. I had a clear idea of what I wanted so I instead of trying to argue, I've created my own arc. It's in this sub-forum via mod preference. (I meant it for Mafia and Gaming) -

Flat no to both. People have put a lot of love into this game. Please respect your fellow characters. Please remove the reference. But not in-universe. -

@Lord Duvorsis absolutely right. Perhaps "the Free Companies" might be better? (Although, I'll admit, the idea that every organization in-universe ends up calling itself Heroica is worth a chuckle!) -

OoC: Good! But feel free to be spontaneous. Your backstory is just that - don't let it limit you! And OoC is gray. As she stands there in the snow, trying to join the crew, Yelana's sensors ping - a small bird is flying above, on a wild course. The snow almost blinds you, endless and vast. The Unholy Mountains are before you, behind you home, and to your left and right, rolling tundra spreads itself before collapsing into foothills and gullys. You might find something if you search around - but the most adventure is probably ahead. On closer examination the lights appear magical - like fireballs and explosions. You see snow covered with dark shapes, and two figures jumping around frantically. -

Thank you for the corrections. I was trying to jump right into the action. Some appropriate improvements will be made - I am dealing with life, and I wanted to make sure it was posted. If it didn't get posted, I was afraid it might never happen. -

Of course! All new players welcome! This is gorgeous. That is all. (Epic theme, too!) Flavor is great! Those panels are definitely at the high-tech end, but just within limits! Color, design, that muffler, story-A10! That's quite all right! Though you may need to wait for Duvor's quest for deep story-telling. Mine was based around a puzzle idea+setting up the scenario. (BTW, good stories Turtle+classic!) -

"The captain is a poor whisperer. The killer has already killed once, why not again? Especially if it helps protects their identity." "And I'm quite serious. I booked this vacation to take a get-away with my wife. One of us dying would ruin that, greatly. I've lived a full life, but I'll be bloody twitted if I let someone hurt my love. NO offense, Captain, but this ship lacks certain security facilities. And in their absence, we must protect ourselves." -

It looks good! Only two things: Lean in on the spy aspect, be very subtle - this planet is highly cut off, extra-terrestrials are highly rare - think modern Earth rare! I see you're re-using your character - that's fine, I'm re-using my name - but just keep in mind this is it's own game - no crossovers! Sounds good! Ah...good question...yes... ...Don't have a new name yet. -

Exactly - it's a multicultural tribe! Or, you're a merc that decided to help out, a wanderer, an assisting traveler... It's more a small settlement - hunter gatherer, with a bare minimum of farming.
