  1. Thanks for all the kind comments about the roof and the use of the large wall panels. I was looking for a way to use the tudor wall pieces, and then I just started using lots of wall panels. Thanks. I often struggle with making things asymmetrical. The large warehouse doors on the ground floor and the stairs up the side were features that defined this build for me. It's not, but I see what you mean. It's not even the same torso, but from the angle I used, you can't tell. I'll have to watch that in the future. The angle of some of the tiles on the roof concerned me, too. That's likely what I'll address if I try this again. And the light showing through the windows was just sloppy work on my part. I should have put something in back to block the light. I think t was a side effect of starting to do an interior and then deciding not to. Again, thanks to everyone for the feedback. Much appreciated!

Nice detail shots of the buggy. Thanks! I hadn't noticed the mudguards on the buggy. Interesting design. What piece is that?

    [SR-FB3] Whale of a Tale

Excellent! We were just discussing that we needed a whaling MOC, and voila, you've done it! Good whale tail (and tale). I'll echo the comment that the only thing missing is a rope attached to the spear, but that does not detract from this beautiful build. Eslandola approves!

    [COR-FB2] Letters from home

I'm fascinated by the partial build of the stern of the ship. So much so that I'm commenting now before I read all of the text. Very interesting build!
  5. I like these ship interiors we're getting, and the storytelling is quite enjoyable. Good minifigs and posing. You have my from Eslandola!

    [SR - FB2] Complications

Somehow I missed this one when it was new. I really like the fort! I'll echo the comments that you need to tend to your photo background, but it's a good build with a good story and fig posing.

[COR-FB2] The Flask and Flagon (Port Raleigh)

Very nice! I like the bottles behind the bar, and the dart board. It look like a very warm, comfortable watering hole! P.S. Do they carry Weelond Ale?
  8. By limiting the number of entries, you leave me no choice. I present for the Musician’s Talent Fair… The Amazing Amadeus and his One-Man Band When the Amazing Amadeus heard of the MCTC music festival, he knew he must be there for his many fans. He and his partner, Ludwig, packed their gear and caught the first ship for Bardo. Once there, they were barely onto the street beneath the festival banners before they were mobbed by their adoring fans. Mrs. Hendriksen is here. It’s one of the highlights of the year for her! Another fan waves as the band marches by. As Ludwig marches down the street playing the bagpipes, bugle, drums, and cymbals simultaneously, Amadeus works the crowd. Here one of their young fans shows his appreciation. Amadeus figures this gig will pay well. It should keep him in bananas for quite some time.

Nice shape to the hull. I especially like the tile planking on the hull sides. Good story, too!
  10. Just a reminder that the artisan rebates are still unclaimed. The first two people to build and license an artisan property in Weelond this month get a 5db rebate from Mayor Willem Guilder. That's 20% off the license cost of a small property.
  11. Wouldn't whaling essentially be covered by the Bounty run? But perhaps there should be some special whaling event/bonus roll or something.

    [SR-FB1] Gun Shop

George has an interesting, er, uniform. Nice little shop. I like how the front and top are removable for better viewing.
  14. I was part of a 3-ship flotilla that went on a bounty run in February's MCRA, with an escort no less, so you can team up. FWIW, we all had similar results on what we got. Not sure if that was random or if the results are tied together, but I suspect the latter.

[COR - MAR FB1] Angling for a Duel

Nice build, and a fair response! I like that you took inspiration from an engraving; I always find these types of builds interesting. We'll have to wait until Janszen receives this response to see how he responds...

[COR - Mar FB1] The Lady Jacqueline

I missed that the gun rating for a 5F was "1". In that case, and given the analysis re number of pre-fab hulls used, I think 5F is a fair classification. And if you want to get her into the game quicker, you could always sell some shares in her while retaining majority ownership. You could even include a buyout clause so you could buy back the shares from investors as you can afford it.

I love this ship! I'm going to have to study her more, and steal some ideas from her! This is possibly the best ship I've seen in BoBS so far. As for class, she looks a touch small for a class 5, but a 5F does fit in general. I think you could get away with classifying her as a 3T2 large sloop, although I think she's a bit bigger than that. There's no class 4 description that really fits. Tough call.

  20. I have no problem with the EGS License form, but all that's changed on the Free Build form is the month in the title. Here's what i get when I click on the link above: "March 2016 Free Build Form The form "February 2016 Free Build Form " is no longer accepting responses. Try contacting the owner of the form if you think this is a mistake."
