Tournament on castle Burg Stolzenstein
Vindicare replied to tnickolaus's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Man, that is huge! How long is that sucker?! The details you have put in it are spot on. I can totally imagine this medevial fanfare. Not only the joust that's happening, but all the surrounding activities going on around it. It reminds me of the movie A Knights Tale. Well done! -
What's your favourite feature of 2011 from TLG?
Vindicare replied to Legoist's topic in General LEGO Discussion
So far, for me it's the Village Mill Raid set from Kingdoms. My jaw dropped when I saw it and am super excited to get it. It'll probably change though once I see a picture of the new Modular Pet Shop. -
Um... Where did you read it would be smaller? By the description we've heard, were getting two Market Street-esque buildings. Only 3 mini figures? Really. All other modular series comes with double that.

Very cool, but it's a bit hard to see the finer details. Could you post a link so we can get a better look at it. Job well done, though.
-
I'm sure I read that somewhere too. Tower Bridge and MMV aren't in the same theme as the modular series. Just because they came with new things doesn't mean this set will.

I like it! Looks like it has a working doorbell, interesting. Not digging the brick built dog? Why? Alternate builds are decent looking as well.
-
Not to mention, they're a pain to store. As for the MOC, although a waste to say now, but, the grey section of the building was a good start to something.

I think what you're calling a cape is actually a long dinner jacket. I don't remember 100%, but I'm pretty sure in the movie it's a jacket with tails...

You're crazy good at these reproductions! Eagerly awaiting the full layout! Is it done yet?

Wow, the attention to detail in that car is impeccable! From the gas tank, to the wheels. The overall look is killer, very cool ratrod.

You bumped a 2 month old thread to say you have no words?....

It looks as though Neville has Marcus Flints head...anyone else think so?

[MOC] Collectable minifigs modular display shelf - series 3
Vindicare replied to Cecilie's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Man, amazing work as usual! The space villain is the better of the bunch, but they all, like your previous 2 are all great. -

Nor would they make a brick built base like you have. The MOC is awesome though, job well done. -
I'm looking forward to getting 7051, putting it right in the middle of my city and causing panic to the citizens!

Crownies=most boring Castle faction?
Vindicare replied to dwarf-brik's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Damn! That guys skeleton army is huge and impressive, he has some awesome customs there! -
Super excited to see you making another unbelievable creation. All your castles are just amazing. Are you planning on putting your castles together in a super MOC of all time?

Hall of Heroes display in Mall of America

Wow, those are awesome sculptures! That's gotta be some heavy duty wire holding that heli up. Imagine seeing that thing fall to the ground! That robot is pretty cool, I'd like to see that as a mini fig scale set. -
Wow, for a first MOC that is just plain awesome! Like others have said, those gargoyles are a nice touch. As far as I've seen, never done before, nice job. I'm a big fan of yellow, so the color choice is spot on!
-
Like he said, unless you're wanting the figs, go MMV. It is far better a set than the castle. You get more IMO with the MMV.

What about a spring out of those click top pens? Might be the right size...

I was really hoping for a bank...the detail on it would've been awesome. But, since they have the Money Transfer set, albeit a small bank...we now have a bank. Not any disrespect to the person who said were getting a pet shop, I'm hoping it's actually a post office. I mean, we have the mail van and plane, numerous mailboxes, but nowhere for them to go.
-
Well, I believe you're mistaken in your assumption. It said that Downtown London was a city set...
-
Probably would've been better off just private messaging him, rather than the road you took. You wouldn't have gotten the flak you did...
-
Whoa..you put all the modulars(assuming you have all 4) and the carousel in one box together? That's gonna take you forever to dig through and find the pieces to rebuild them. Have fun! I don't think a pet shop would translate well in LEGO form either. Unless they're springing new animal molds on us, which is unlikely because I thought I read here that they use on current pieces for the modular series. Plus, they'd only have room for maybe 3 animals on one floor. That would make for a pretty lame interior to the pet shop. I hope we some official news soon though, the wait is killing me!
