Well.....crap. I did something I don’t do & kinda already regret doing it. I paid $36 for Zuckuss. I don’t like paying those kinds of prices for minifigs because all it does is encourage resellers. He’s the only bounty hunter I don’t have & I’m still all hyped up over all the new SW sets I bought. So it’s not my fault. I also missed out on getting Velma when she was going for $20...that has always irked me & felt this would be the same.

Uh...I never said one word about the new system. I have zero problems with it. I actually quite like it. If FFL is part of the new system then why is it the only set in the back of the instructions, even it’s own, that isn’t in the picture showing the ‘full’ Castle? To me, that means it’s not. I suppose that’s open to interpretation though. Guess I should’ve read the other comments...but still. The set can still work very easily with the last layout.

Well, we did get First Flying Lesson this year, which goes with the 2018-2020 system. While that’s just one small set, maybe we’ll continue getting that. Even though we need some big sections still to finish off the Castle.

LEGO Star Wars 2021 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

I will never fault anyone for spending their money how they want, but buying minifigs at high double or even triple digit prices is just stupid. It doesn’t help them, or anyone, at present or the future. There’s no way anyone should pay $200 for a single minifg. If everyone would just stop, prices would go down big time. That goes for sets of course too. We(community at large) set the prices. Sellers can ask whatever ridiculous price they want, the buyers just have to stop. I hear ya. I’m currently debating with myself buying Zuckuss. I want him to round out the Hunters...but the price. Same with a non SW minifg...Velma from Scooby Doo. I skipped out buying her when she was $20 because that felt like too much. Now she’s WAY more than that. -

What I’m pretty shocked by is the Shadow ARF Trooper. He’s going for a bundle right now. A few years ago he was going for a hell of a lot less. If I wasn’t so attached to my clone army, I’d consider selling mine. -
As mentioned, the Hogsmeade set has a pub, with an actual bar this time! The PotC London Escape had a partial one, with a usual keg. And we had one in the Detective’s Office, sans the actual bar part...but we know. So it could happen & they could swing it as being a tavern serving hot chocolate. That’s what I “imagine” mine is. I still build the set as is, so interior wise it’s still a house. But in my mind, it’s simply an over enthusiastic store owner who really gets into Christmas.

This just keeps getting better & better. Love the gravel traps & the catch fence looks excellent. -
Man, it was tough seeing some of the new exclusives in store Sunday but passing on them. Jay’s dark orange hair, orange toolbox, & Blue Pug. I just didn’t want the minifigs those parts were attached to & the crowd was pretty crazy so I didn’t want to bother with substitutions.

Press Release: 76391 Harry Potter Hogwarts Icons Collectors

The two aren’t remotely comparable though. That’s like the 4+ X-Wing vs UCS one. The body was fine but the head is just strange. Thankfully I got it at half price. The scarf ends are certainly strange. I feel like they could’ve done something better to represent the Houses that would showcase all four in the model. -
It looks even better now. I love the potion bottle choices. Just last night I had convinced myself to wait awhile on this. Now, I’m not so sure. The scarf ends are definitely the weirdest bit of the build, but they had to add something for the Houses. Something to permanently represent each one would’ve been better though.

Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

There’s a banner on the top of S@H about shipping delays here. They give a very vague...statement about how they expect shipping delays. So, yeah... -
I kinda agree, but I kinda don’t. Sadly, with such a beloved franchise with many iconic vehicles, there will always be repeats. I can agree that it does get very old(similar to Police/Fire in City) as there’s so much other great content they either haven’t done or something they haven’t done in years. This year’s Mandalorian Starfighter is a great example to me. It’s been close to a decade since the last one so it’s fantastic to finally get another one. Now, the disagree part. Set size. I’m quite happy with that. I got the new Slave I & while it’s much smaller than the last one I have(2010) it’s still a great build & the price is great. I wanted to get the previous one, mainly for Zuckuss, because it’s been a long time & that was a vast improvement over the one I own. But SW isn’t a big focus for me so saving $120 was not quite so easy. And I shockingly(to myself) don’t own an X-Wing or T.I.E. Fighter yet, so seeing them at $50 has me quite excited.
-
How dare you! The minifigs are a bit lackluster as a whole, but the builds were great with a fantastic end result. There’s plenty of play in this year’s castle sets. Chamber has the flipping table, the slide, & the snake entrance. Potion set has a movable sink with drop, Fluffy set has the trapdoor. The sink & trapdoor have the added bonus of being better together, but watching a 10 & 5 year old play with LEGO, I doubt that’s much of a problem there if they only had one of them.

I’m with you. Day one buys for me were the Duel, Mando Starfighter, Slave I, and I prefer ordered the ForgeI can’t even remember the last time I did a day one buy of SW sets. This is definitely the most I’ve bought in a year in some time. The last time I bought SW wasn’t as far back as you. I bought the Mando BP & AT-ST Raider. On pre orders, they don’t charge until the set ships correct? I’ve never done it but the full price(ordered an in stock set along with it) is on my order. -
It’s something else too. In the instructions it shows it against the top of the Slave I. I suppose it’s supposed to be like those rebel carts from the OT. You can fit the carbonited Gamorrean under the ladder as well. I would’ve just preferred a stand to that weird thing.
-
Just finished building it. It was a fun build, I don’t even mind the smaller size. I liked how they attached the two sections. I didn’t understand what that thing you build at the end is, but seeing it as a stand is pretty cool. It feels like a sturdy ship given its size too.

Looks cool! Quite the departure from the red castles I know you for. -
First time being able to post here in awhile. Went kinda big yesterday with Duel on Mandalore(glad I didn’t need up buying the AAT or just Ahsoka online for $20), Mandalorian Starfighter, and Slave I.

For real. That’s why I stopped reading this thread for awhile when the summer wave was being speculated about. Reading all the complaints of how awful the wave was going to be from people who never saw a picture bit old real fast. And it happened again with this set. No you didn’t. Speaking for myself, I don’t buy that other stuff. No other toys or sculptures, just LEGO.

I think it’s a great display piece. Hedwig looks fantastic. Love the pile of books & potion box. I can appreciate them thinking outside the box & giving us something different. The buildable Frog Card with Golden minifigs is the cherry on top.

Now that I finally got my hands on First Flying Lesson I’m thinking of where to put it among the 2018-2020 sets since it was clearly built for that. I noticed Hooch’s cape isn’t the spongy one...wonder why they went away from that? I liked those better. Cool set though, I really like the Rememberall. And I went 1 for 2 on the cards. Ollivander & yet another Bott...

40500 HP Accessory Pack 76395 Hogwarts: Flying Lesson 60300 Wildlife Rescue ATV 75310 Duel on Mandalore 75312 Slave I 75316 Mandalorian Starfighter I’ve been going to Jan 1st release for about a decade now(as well as other bug release days here & there). This one was by far the craziest. The line was insanely long...even after we left an hour later.
-
I bought 7 of them & just recently completed my Hufflepuff team. Now I’m on the hunt for a good deal on a second Quidditch Match & buying the leftovers to fill out those teams. I definitely hope the Ravenclaw torso shows up elsewhere, otherwise they won’t get a team.
-
First off, yes to Darkwing Duck! Second, completely. I have everything(including the polybags) except the big Castle as well. I don’t even really know why I bought the second polybag, it had nothing special in it... I adore each & every minifigure but it is definitely overwhelming. I’d like to display them too, but they are just individually bagged in a box. Any duplicates stay with the set they came in. Getting all the new prints & characters makes up for all the trio inclusions.

Saw this today with a friend. Early in he noted the butt shots. I think the movie was pretty good, unfortunately the timing if it’s release ruined it a bit. We knew, no matter what happened to Natasha that she survives it. Speaking of but(t)s...
