[Poll] Do you like LEGO as a company?

That fair. I don’t quite see the issue with the blind bags, but I can see that frustrating a kid- only wanting X but never getting X. As someone who didn’t get Velma...and still doesn’t...I do kinda get the gripe there. But me not having her is more my unwillingness to buy a single minifig for what she’s going for. Overall, I don’t see it as a problem, it’s just incentive to buy that set. I’d love to get a Ledger Joker in a cheaper set but I get why we haven’t. Maybe it’ll be like the reindeer. Only 1 in a $99(which is still a more reasonable price)set, then is followed up a year later by 4 in a $36 set. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours

Could be Disney 3 yeah? It’s been a little while since the last one. Your reasoning for Marvel makes sense too. One way or another it’ll likely be something Disney. -

You must not like any collectible product much then...trading cards are blind bags. Hot Wheels does the Treasure Hunts, Funko! has exclusives in what feels like 80 different places, & many, many companies do con type exclusives. I don’t get the gambling argument...I guess it’s the chance aspect? I don’t get the “gotta get them all” bit either...what kid doesn’t want all of X figures? When I was a kid, G.I. Joe, He-Man, Thundercats, TMNT...I certainly wanted all of those. I even grew up with Trash Bag Bunch blind bag toys. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Vindicare replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
The recent City hospital did a great job at fitting a lot into that building & it wasn’t nearly as big as a Modular building, much less a corner one. I think they could do it justice. Even if it were just a clinic/emergency type of business. A bicycle shop would be fun...with the return of the pink & yellow bike to boot(the only the colors I don’t own)! Hell, I’d even settle for a pizza/bike shop...we know they love that combo. Post office would be good as well, with a mail truck since they like adding vehicles every few years now it seems. -
Well, the news of no City Modular is quite disappointing. Those are my favorite sets... the training dojo does sound cool & will probably go well with the Temple of Airjitzu. It may be able to work with the City sets with a bit of MODing though, just have to get a good look at it.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

I saw someone over on Instagram, don’t remember the name, who said it was going to be a hospital. Has anyone heard this? I can’t imagine a hotel & hospital getting mixed up. Seeing as they just did an emergency service building I don’t think they’d come right back with another. -
Ahh, that’s a good idea. I think using clips like the set does won’t work because the clips won’t be able to hold the poles as securely, even though it would look better(as in flow). That’s likely the best option. It’ll still be a bit flimsy, but will hold better for sure. The large Christmas tree with the base is a great addition as a town center tree.

That’s a good point. I just loaded up 4 reindeer in B&P & it’s just about $24. Sticker sheets are typically pretty cheap, so a few bucks there & a few more for the parts...and you’re just about at the price of the whole set. Just have to figure a way attach the additional four to original four. Attaching the gold poles that run through.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

I would imagine 4 rooms, two to each floor. Then the ground floor would be the counter/lobby & a waiting area or eating area. And being a corner, we’ll get some extra floor space thanks to not having any open area I’m the back. -
Gah! Why couldn’t they VIP release the Sleigh too so we can buy both together?! I did have an issue ordering the Haunted House on the early release. It didn’t show up that night when it was supposed to, but I’m sure that was just a hiccup. I ended up ordering in the morning. Just in case it doesn’t show up at first.

As long as he doesn’t have a face like the Yoda...those dead eyes...I’m in! Wall-e, The Porg, & The Child all are fantastic. I was very much surprised by this as well. I stumbled upon it last year when I saw a post on the lego hashtag that had the City polybag with the manta ray. I also found the latest HP one too. More recently they had the City hovercraft with the monkey.

It looks as though the LEGO gods have finally answered us Ninjago City fan’s prayers. I’ve seen the 1x2 trans light blue tiles have shown up on the Wall in some countries, Germany & now UK I believe. Can anyone report how widely released these parts have been? Trying to gauge how hopeful I should be to see them make their way over here.

It’s on Target’s website, but has said “out of stock” for some time. I imagine that because they haven’t gotten it in yet or I just check at really bad times. I’m also keeping an eye on JoAnns Fabric as they’ve been getting good polybags.

You could always start by MODing a set. I’m not much of a MOCer, certainly nothing on a large scale. But the one building I did was built around a window build I saw that I really liked. I do some, small simple stuff to add details to my city that’s all based on things I see. That’s another place to start.
-
That’s what I used last year & plan to until something better comes along. The one...well, two....from the Toy Shop is pretty good, but the base & other details make it a better centerpiece. Exactly. Obviously they’re all gonna come with a tree...but man, can we get a break already! Toss in the Calendars & we have a decent Christmas tree farm business.
-
You could lift it by a plate & cover the gaps with plates or cheese slopes. That’s what I’m planning anyways. I’m loving this set. I spotted those new cookies! My only minor complaint is o wish the hairpiece on the girl was a new color, I really like that piece.
-
I mean in the vein of the book part playing such a big role in the room build. The builds for the classes are excellent & a dream I’m sure for MOCers of a Castle. I’d rather see bricks being used to build the walls, but I do enjoy the gimmick.
-
I imagine they’ll use the glow in the dark pieces they used in the Chamber of Secrets set. But that piece with a trans head to give it some color change would be nice. No action? What about feeling loves keen sting?! Yeah, they’re not so bad. I do wish the actual build was a bit fleshed out more though...which is where the regular set would be preferred. I believe the DADA one does come with...just in case you’re not looking at leaks(even though they will be discussed here anyways)...

CMF Ginny’s hair would be a good use for Trelawney for sure. Along with the legs would make her different enough from the CMF to make her even more desirable. I think two Moments books is perfect. Starting out with 4(one for each House) made sense as a way to introduce the sets. That’s true. We could get a more substantial build of the classroom in module form. I was thinking how I’d like to see a buildable clown, in the case of it not being a Moments set, as that would be a neat build. I’m addition to a Dementor or Boggart Snape. He would make sense as he’s the only Bricktober pack one we’ve haven’t seen again.
-
This is going like it did early this year, the sets are awful & LEGO is stupid...great reading material. I’ll wait for pictures, but they sound promising. I wasn’t very keen on the Moments sets(still not really, for the price). Once I bought them they did grow on me a bit. I can definitely see the appeal for MOCers. Like most, bummed to hear it’s Moody’s room as Lupin’s would’ve been much more exciting build wise. Another gramophone & the cabinet with probably another Dementor. The trunk is intriguing as well. I was pleasantly surprised by Newt’s Suitcase so I’m not ruling that one out yet As to the never ending 18/20 vs 21...they’re both good in their ways. The first one takes up way too much display space for starters. The interiors were a bit all over the place. Exteriors are great & the Great Hall was a standout. The latest are the opposite, they have fantastic interiors & pretty lame exteriors. Moody & Trelawney are perfect, so we’ll see how that goes, but I hope we get some of those cup/saucers with the Divination class. Pomfrey of course will be the star of the wave for sure.
-
I lucked out & got 1 of 2. Snape was the needed...and first one. My double was Sykes. Just 4 to go now. I did get one for a friend...I’m sure he wouldn’t mind if I opened his to check. I was happy with the AC builds....except for that wreath, come on LEGO...you can do better than that. Those Hogwarts uniforms are fantastic & I wish Harry came with one instead of the special DA torso. I also wish the luggage cart was like the other two ww’ve already gotten. It’s kinda funny the two remaining buildings from DA that we want, Gringotts & Leaky Cauodron, we’re given stuff. I’m gonna say that’s a hint instead of the designers being trolls for a laugh.
-
As mentioned, the brick torso is as is her balloon animal. The snow vest, mariachi torsos are as well. I don’t know about the cowboy guy’s torso, but I believe the hat is the hair on the brick minifg may be too(but I don’t think it is). Oh yes, some exciting parts for sure. I really want that balloon animal, as I have the other three & was the only reason I bright the CMF that they came with. Of course the brick torso is great. While nit exclusive I’m happy to see that snow hat with the flaps in that color, I only have the red one.

Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
Vindicare replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I haven’t gotten it yet, but I definitely plan to. The episode made me want it more(so a job well done). At least we get the good Captain Carter this year alongside it. Steve is a bit plain, but still cool. Although, quite close to another Steve(...and Chris). -

Got my full set today....plus an extra Zombie Cap. Mistook his helmet for Bucky’s hair. Clearly I should’ve felt a bit more(or for the knives like I did when I went back). They’re all pretty great, but Gamora is still my least favorite. We’ll see if that changes when I see her episode. Oh, and that build with Monica is just dumb. I guess another new drone mold was out of the question....
