Collaboration/Group Project Brainstorming
anton1678 replied to Zerobricks's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Someone has to build a murder saw attachment I think more people have a Google account than Dropbox so Google Drive would be better We need to agree on the wheels, but telehandler or excavator is best, not a truck -

Try making the IR reciever symmetrical to your model, on the back, not on top on the right. Make it in the middle, or it looks odd -

The seat is already touching the unmovable pistons, and the cabin is up to the steering. It is still kind of odd though, I agree -

Whoever has helium or methane or hydrogen can make 2 balloons and attach PF with 2 propellers (any will do) and a reciever. We will have 'flown Lego', at least kind of our original goal don't look at me I have no helium- 157 replies

With a computer you could send out signals in any frequency, but I've seen it with a phone too, just get one of them frequency blast apps. -

Flight using Lego
anton1678 replied to anton1678's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Well, I don't have rotors or motors suitable for building How about someone builds an airship first, just to show we tried? I could do that maybe... If you don't have helium, use methane, natural gas, still floats, doesn't leak There is natural gas in Denmark... maybe even in Billund...- 157 replies

Linear Actuator Gearbox
anton1678 replied to anton1678's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Here it is, the new more compact gearbox, IN REAL LIFE Thanks for the ideas, erelender, though I am not quite ready to use more than one actuator yet, it is now more of a gearbox than a gearline. Brzoom here is the double shear, not reinforced yet, but working all the same -

[MINI][WIP] 6 wheeler
anton1678 replied to CNT2's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Well, it isn't exactly advanced... How about doors and a steering wheel in the front, Possibly connected to actual steering? See my Offroad Racer or Eraman's Lawn Tractor for ideas on what to add, because right now, (sorry if I sound offensive) your MINI project is probably the least functional so far That's only because all the other entries are pretty high quality Though the gun is cool, think of this project as something LEGO would make into an actual set You have a lot of sets (saw your brickshelf), try using only one colour scheme, not all of them -

Linear Actuator Gearbox
anton1678 replied to anton1678's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
No need to share it, I can already see that won't work as well as expected. I can tell you don't have any actual actuators, because you forgot that they spin unless held still It would be hard to make an 8t gear work, because it is so small, and will slip around through your mechanism Just to tell you, once the linear actuators can't extend/contract any more, the just make a loud noise and start vibrating like crazy, so you have to make it strong enough to withstand that. Great ideas though, I will work on it in real life now, send a video perhaps Sariel said he used a 'small linear actuator' in his Hummer for the gearbox, so this idea isn't as new as it seems -

Why are you so angry? I didn't do anything against you, or try to make you seem bad. I only mentioned you! Why call mine a fail, if I didn't call yours anything bad!
