  1. True. Finally, we're getting actual championship-winning cars for the Speed Champions theme. Probably the factory livery I posted a few replies earlier, but I, for one, would like to see Flying Lizard Motorsports on that car. Or Phoenix's Bilstein car. My bet, however, will be on the Belgian Team WRT car.

2016 City Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Mother of God. THE TIRES ARE ALIVE!!! THEY'RE COMING FOR US!!! IT'S THE RAPTURE AND WE ARE ALL DOOMED!!! But I, for one, welcome our new tire overlords.
  3. This wave is packing a whole lot of horsepower, variety, and some legendary cars (emphasis on the latter). Seeing Ford and Chevy in this theme is the big good news for SC, and the eventual 917K is merely the icing on the cake.
  4. R8 LMS ultra, you say? They better do the old one, because the new one's got no side blade. I need to see that side blade.
  5. Also known as Monday night rush hour. You're one of them, WhiteFang, whether you admit it or not, whether you like it or not.
  6. Huh, only 5 sets named. There's one set number in Brickset's database but that's probably misplaced.

    71014 Soccer Minifig Series

I seriously thought we're getting Bundesliga teams from reading the topic title. But all of Die Mannschaft? Why not?
  8. It's gonna be modeled after a hatchback, GallardoLU.
  9. Forgot to ask: Is that all of it? I mean, there isn't any Dodge here--and the Hellcat Challenger is a popular car, lately. There's also a Viper GTS-R that won its last season in United SportsCar. Or do I just have to wait for some more to drip down out watering holes? Certainly we're still going to get a $100 set, and my guess is that 75113 will be that set. But will it be a Dodge Viper?
  10. I am very sorry, this topic is a misfire, repeat, this topic is a misfire. Please merge this to the one set by CM4Sci.
  11. Chevrolet Camaro Drag Race, huh? Since we heard of an older car in one of the Ford sets, I'm guessing it'll be a combination of a newer COPO Camaro and an older COPO Camaro. Not the kind of Camaro I wanted or guessed, but if it means wider tires, count me in.
  12. Oh, shoot, I didn't see this place. My bad. Just merge my topic with this one. Anyway, this wave is maximum America, with only the Audi R18 being the European car--but that's OK, because that means we're getting MORE LE MANS CARS!!! But still: MERICA, F___ YEAH!!! The pick-up will probably be towing the Model A Hot Rod.
  13. Escape Vehicle sounds rather vague to me. Other than that, I'll be waiting.

    Architecture 2016

Burj Khalifa may probably be a re-tool of sorts using this part and long cross-axles, or maybe built to be in scale with Robie House.
  15. We've just past half the year and Ka-bluie we've got set names for Speed Champions Wave 2. No Daimler here, because there's only one German car here. This wave comes with MAXIMUM AMERICA!!! Here they are, from Brickset, fresh off Amazon.de: Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) (75870) – EUR 14.99 Ford Mustang GT (350?) (75871) – EUR 14.99 Audi R18 E-Tron Quattro (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) (75872) – EUR 14.99 Chevrolet Camaro (ZL1 or Z/28?) (75874) – EUR 34.99 Ford F-150 Raptor (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) (75875) – EUR 49.99 Lowest-priced sets are singles, higher ones have diorama pieces and/or competition, like 75912. Pictures of cars that will become immortalized in 6W are below, as they are listed: (Mustang GT may be the GT350 seen above, not the regular GT, or maybe not) (like the Mustang, the Camaro may be the Z/28, or may be just a regular Camaro) (yes, people, we're getting a Ford pick-up, the hottest one. Whether or not we'll be getting newer, springy axles too remains to be seen) Now I have two questions for you: CAN YOU FEEL IT!? OK, yes, it isn't as completely American, what with THE AUDI PROTOTYPE WE'RE GETTING, but is it safe to say that Wave 2 comes with MAXIMUM AMERICA? I can say yeah, this is max 'Merica. Are you worried about how the cars will turn out? I am, especially the Audi. How can they nail the unique shape, and how can they nail the back fin?

    What are you listening to?

And Eminem's new tunes from the movie Southpaw, which makes me want a UCS McLaren MP4/4 with an exclusive Ayrton Senna minifigure.
  18. So I found out from here that this part can be used for suspension setups (see gif below) My problem is integrating said part in a setup that lets all 4 wheels move independently as well as work well with the ball-and-socket axle seen below.
  19. Well, sheithe. But either way, here's waiting.
  20. From what I've seen of the LEGO 2016 lineup, it looks like we're getting no new sets for this line. Of course, I don't know about TLG. They may be talking to lots of automakers with either Mercedes-Benz or Ford, to either Le Mans or the WRC, but other than that, we've yet to find out if this set continues on. Here are my best bets: First off, Porsche. I have 40% surety they're gonna bust out the 911 Turbo S in a combo set with another car, while the new 911 GT3 RS and the Cayman GT4 may be coming in singles, but unless they bring out the 919 Hybrid through a big Le Mans licensing deal and this cute car, there's gonna be not much else to expect from them. I have 100% certainty Ferrari will show the S-F15T F1 car in a set, and 60% certainty their 488 GTB will become a LEGO model, but my Spider senses are screaming nothing but: "F12berlinetta!!!". The polybag model, for me, sucked at being a representative model, so maybe scaling it up a bit would help. The complicated bodywork by the side of the car will be a challenge to pull off, but man it would rock if the really did nail it. McLaren? Well, the 650S GT3 looks boss, and the P1 GTR is an even bigger boss with a fully-exposed rear end, but the rest of the cars in their line is actually bland visually, maybe even worse than Porsche's 911 line. They look the same! It's mind-boggling. My guess is that only those two cars I mentioned will go through, as well as the MP4-30 F1 car. Now for my bets on the other marques. My Spider Senses call for a breezy licensing deal with Daimler's road car department and AMG, but until the set names come out I think the theme is too late for the SLS AMG and SL65 AMG Black, though Mercedes can simply say the word and bring out the license. Still, there's the C63 AMG Black and the plain-Jane AMG-GT, and then there's the SLS GT3 and AMG-GT3, which can go for something similar to 75912. Ford is packed full of performance cars, with the Mustang Shelby GT350 and the new GT being the cars that have a shot at being a set, and with the PR barrage Ford Performance is bringing, it would make sense to have their cars (including the new Ford GT GTE race car-- !!) become buildable, playable merchandise, but I've yet to hold my breath on that matter. And finally, Lamborghini. They've gotten the bull brand before, but binned the regular Gallardo (the rozzer Gallardo is nice, though). And the current lineup will definitely set up the biggest challenge for the design team. But I have a feeling that if they get the wide and massive Aventador SV as a model, we will be getting a new windshield part. I don't think the current one would do. Same thing for the Huracan LP610-4 and its Super Trofeo racing version if they ever get through, too.

2016 City Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Drivel time! s r I am sorely, deeply, utterly disappointed by this set. No suspension, useless driver and crew (it's not driving), probably would look uninspiring, shoddily-built and lack wide fenders, opening doors, or even an engine bay. TLG might as well just stop selling City GV sets anymore. What's the use? /s /r Oooh, interesting. We're getting delinquents! Any idea as to what the mini-build will be? This better be nice enough and come with swank amenities. I like it, actually. A flying ambulance. With doctors and medical equipment and stuff like that. But what kind of plane will it be? And how big will it be? So a van, probably a Sprinter or Transit, and a caravan? That better be loaded with quaint little mini-builds and details. It's good to have another one. OK, I'm getting a picture in my head now: One ferry with a side aflame, about 5 figs, with one ferry captain, and a smaller boat with firefighting equipment and 3 firefighters with advanced equipment. This I can bank on. This one, too. There has been some Fire Boat sets, and topping those will be a tall order. I think TLG can pull it off. Well, this is new. A whole prison island detached from the mainland, with all sorts of baddies. I mean, most prison island prisoners are high-profile, or else they can just dig down and bust out easier. I'm excited to see the variety of printed fig parts this set will bring. A set to watch out for. 60004 rocks, but if the new one nails an even better one, it will fly off the shelves.

The what I did today thread ......

Patched up the small hole at the 20er folding's rear. And now I'm back tearing up the sidewalk I practice with (it's rough, with only half the sidewalk smoothed out and other parts converted into a steep parking ramp, but it makes choosing a line a joy and gunning it pretty exciting, especially every 10 pm with all the trucks that go by when the truck ban is lifted).

I still haven't seen PDF's for the Great Vehicles sets on Brickset. There's already PDF's for Deep Sea and Space and the City Square, but still nothing for the other GV sets.
