Now, to pump back some life in this thread, look at the Jaguar C-X75: This car is alive, really. In fact, Jag acknowledges this model in their website. And there's enough sites that got a chance to drive it that tells you that this car has the power to pounce on the 918 Spyder, it's supposed direct rival (at least for me), with just a "1.6L dual-boosted (turbocharged and supercharged) four-cylinder powerplant which generates 502 bhp at 10,000 rpm", coupled with "the highest torque and power density electric motors in production, which generate a further 390 horsepower". Dudes and dudettes, that's 892 hp. The 918's got 887 with a V8 and electrics. Dayum, right? But I just can't help but feel sorry for this car. It's a beautiful vehicle, one that is pretty understated and yet is very much inspired by the equally bonkers XJ220. It's powerful, has a classy interior, and can make you go nuts. There wouldn't have been just three hypercars; there would have been four. And it would have made a much easier 6W car. Too bad it got axed because Jag was too broke to continue with it. I just wish TLG get licenses from Jaguar-Land Rover. Then, they'd make this, the F-Type, and the XKR-S, as package deals. Well, a man can dream.

Oh, man, I want stuff like the ones I put in bold, though maybe a wireless system of the latter so it works anywhere, and is compatible to Bluetooth.And I'd prefer another kind of micromotor along with a revamped version of the old one, with about the size of the 4W pull-back motor in the smaller Ferrari LEGO sets. -
Well, Ford's got the Mustang GT350 now. Chevy's got a C7 Corvette (and the C7.R) as well as the Z/28 Camaro. Dodge's got Hellcats and the Viper. Once TLG gets the licenses from them, who knows, maybe they can go as far as th 70's and even further. But as for hot rods? TLG has to do it themselves. The Technic Hot Rot (which, for me, looks like a Deuce-rod) is a good place to start.

Emphasis mine, as it's what's what I was about to type was all about.Case in point, I'll compare the McLaren P1 set to Thomas Nunez's McLaren P1: The consensus from those who commented on this and those who commented on the press pics when I noted them is that Tommy's MOC was better-executed, but I'd bet 10 Washingtons it'd go down in pieces once a child takes hold of it. I'm a GT racing fan, too, and yes, I'd readily diss the 458 GT2 model, but for TLG's first ever try in designing the cars in the set (save the F1 cars, which I find actually beautiful), I can say they did a good job. Of course, a side pic comparison can be the only way to tell if TLG did it, but still For now, let the kids get what they deserve: some really good LEGO cars. Give it until autumn or so and UCS sets will show up complete with Designer videos and a Jalopnik article. As for me, I've been wanting (WANTING) those BBS and Enkei wheels to be finally made in the same scale as the stock rims.
