  1. Whaever. A buggy did not win this contest, that's for sure.
  2. It looks like an Aston Vantage V8, but with an American treatment in terms of boosting power. At least this model proves that stuff on top of the bonnet won't hamper visibility.

    MegaMOC 2014

    Ow, ka-pow! Quite the video!
  4. They will. As far as I know, this year and the next is high time for US horsepower.

    What are you listening to?

The Year-End Mashup Wars have begun! And it's good ol' DJ Earworm with the first shot fired, and I've been listening to it since it went up last Dec. 3: Now, I checked Robin Skouteris' (PopLove) Facebook and he said that his 55-hit mix, PopLove14, will come out on Dec. 8, while Daniel Kim (Pop Danthology) said he'll pull his out "no later than Dec. 15". But the question now is this: With Earworm's mix clocking in at 5.2M hits, will He redeem himself? (I think so.) Will it be Skouteris (who won 2013 for me) or is it gonna be Daniel Kim (who won 2012)? Or will there be another DJ that will rise and drop a YE-Mash bomb that will beat what those three offer?
  6. If you do, what will it have to look like? Should it be modular and per cylinder, or per engine type (inline, flat, V)? Should it come in at least three block sizes or three power levels? If you don't, why not? Will a need for a sophisticated transmission render it pretty useless, or will cost come into play? Is it gonna be impractical to even make one, even with the promise of SO MUCH POWAH? Keep it clean, guys, I'm just genuinely curious with what you think about such a part.
  7. In other car-related news, I present you the racing versions of the Hybrid Hypercar Trifecta! That's the 918 RSR above, and below is the P1 GTR: And, just two days ago, at last, Ferrari unveils the race-only version of the LaFerrari, the FXX-K. Yes, it's named the FXXK, and no, it's not missing a wing. Simply check this out. If I ever get a hand on the regular sets, I'd turn them into these cars, with the LaF being the easiest to do of the three. Of, course, that is until TLG gets ahead of me and make their renditions.
  8. Oh, yes, that. But I'd rather have the F80 M3, or the E92 M3 GT2.
  9. Man, top-picks time again. 7: 10 1: 6 45: 4 15: 3 21: 2 27: 1 It's pretty hard to score these entries. Either one of those six deserve a 10! But still, those are my picks.

    Review: 21301 Birds

I think this this is the only time I can say that a set has beaten the Architecture line in terms of being "classy-as-a-tux-e" overall.

If only the R8 LMS ultra ACTUALLY raced in the GTE category at Le Mans. But it'd be quashed by that 'Vette, the 458, and the 991 RSR. Besides, Le Mans would end if Audi sweeps everything, the way most motorsport becomes stale when one team keeps running 'round everyone else. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm just amazingly impressed with this. Every car, every detail, even guestings, even the crash at the chicane. EVEN THE BIG SCREEN! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Can you show every car you've built besides the two you've shown recently, but in the angle like the picture above^^? I wanna see them in all their individual glory.
  12. That 1L "beam" will go to so many places. Also, it's pretty easy to see which ones can last longer when the going gets rough.
  13. With one stud equaling one "cylinder"... that's quite interesting. Yes, but I guess it'd need a gear like part 6358 and/or 59443 Actually, I'd rather have both working cylinders AND drive, but with a 1x1 brick as a piston. That's why I put the modularity in. My proposal, as I imagine it, is a 2-cyl inline shape about half the size of the M motor that you can put together to make an I-4, V-4, or Boxer-4 with an axle connector.
  14. I see your batter mixer and I raise you a food processor (that best works with a manual transmission)!

    [MOC] Architecture: Lake Point Tower

Damn, that's sleek. Why haven't I though of using the long dome pieces?
  16. I'm asking the question above because sometimes I feel that the dissidence against LEGO parts is getting a bit too much and I wanna understand why they see some parts as something that can only be used once as a particular design element. Where does one part's use end and which parts begin making sense? What part is good for just a single purpose and is useless, tacky, and/or out of place everywhere else? What part, for you, is the most versatile and what's vestigial? There could be another thread here about the same subject, so just redirect me there. If there isn't, then you can delve in here.
  17. I can see this in a podium spot.
  18. Damn, the good times we'll have with this buggy.
  19. The fact that it's a hybrid rocket off-road buggy is enough reason for me for this entry to get a podium. Also, fake flames. Why the damn not? Alright, I'll go Jennifer on this build: I don't know, but there's something about this buggy that doesn't scream "BUGGY!", more like a Ram pick up, as if they bent the frame to look like a regular buggy and added minimal paneling and a rocket engine. The adjustable steering is ace. Best part is that I can change it on the fly, just hold these paddles on the left then row it to gear I should not use that rocket unless I plan to climb the Everest. But I'd be more than willing to give this to Hammond when he moves to the Sahara. The suspension, it feels pretty much--ow!--the same thing when you drive another--ah!--buggy, but, there's a bigger bite--AH!--like that. It seems punchier, as if it wants you to feel every--OW!--single bump, it wants to--*grunts*--tell you that there's an obstacle, it's big, and you cleared it. The engine, yeah, the jetrocket, it gives you so much confidence--UH!--it gives you a different kind of power, like, more, more, MORE, and EVEN MORE, and what's more surprising is that it never tires. It doesn't say "I give up", it just continues to put out all this power and thrust and torque and it's still at a reasonable temperature. OK, I went overboard.
  20. Depends on what you're gonna make. I suggest 42000 and either 8071, 8065 and 8068 to match the EV3's color palette.
