Surely the engine can take some more kinds of building algorithms, right? -

But then, there's the regular old original Silver Arrows Sauber C9. Just make it shiny and chrome (or just shiny). -

Powerplant is from another make, sure (Honda in Senna's heyday, BMW in the F1 road car), but that's about it. I think there's no problem with that. It's not like they still need to call up Honda or Bimmer and say: "Uh, yeah, this is The Lego Group and we wanna make the MP4/4 (or the F1) but the engine isn't theirs but yours. Can we get a license for that?" because it's understandable and I think either Honda or BMW can give it a pass, though it'd be strange if they do. Just put the appropriate stickers or printed parts with the brand on them. -

Not with that mindset. They've got a McLaren license (oh, I'd so kill for the MP4/4 F1 car with Ayrton Senna fig--printed helmet and torso, of course). Who knows, come 2016 we might get Mercedes-Benz (300SLR and the original Gullwing) or Audi (the quattro rally car I was talking about or the R8 LMP1 car), or Lamborghini's return to TLG (Miura or Countach). -

They should step it up, though. I WANT WORKING QUATTRO ALL-WHEEL DRIVE!!! -
Your PAB wall is something I haven't seen anywhere else. The shelves, however, I find rather off-putting. All the other details are spot-on. For a first MOC, well-done!

Oh, lest I forget: TLG might just go full plaid and announce an Audi. Nope, not the R8, the Sport quattro S1 E2, you know, the rally car from the insane 80's drug known fondly as Group B? -

Depends on the vehicle. If they do the Lamborghini Miura SV (lime green parts!) McLaren F1 (imagine its interior and engine bay!), I'm guessing they'll keep it in scale with the F40. If they do the Porsche 959 (imagine its dashboard and wheels!), maybe slightly larger. -

Disc brakes, eh? Neat. But really, double VIP points on this car. -

uhhrg, hello guys... yeah... sorry I took a nap and I guess I'm gonna go get cof--IS THAT THE DESIGNER VIDEO DAMN THAT'S THE WHOLE SHEBANG WHY DID YOU NOT BOTHER WAKING ME UP?! Alright then, I'll weigh in: Accurate. Those who think the actual F40 is ugly has to be excommunicated Nope I didn't say anything else. Carry on. I can't believe I'm looking at an F40 that costs just about $90. And that's with a new windscreen and hubcap part... the latter, I think, will be something MOCers will find useful. Those slope pieces are fairly controversial, however. It's got SIX-SHOOTERS FOR MANIFOLDS!!! While yes it sure does look small for 1158 pieces and the stickers scream cost-cutting and a rush-job to most, you gotta hand it to TLG for hitting the sweet, sweet spots in making this model. Or at least I think they got this one bang-on. Still, it's gonna be a day-one purchase for me... if I had the money (Disclaimer: I actually am very poor; I am from the Philippines and my family isn't that rich, but not too poor either. Worse, my aunt is still recovering from a stroke, so, yeah, I would end up renting this set using Pley first... if I can, of course). Overall, 8/10. It's a boss job, and while it isn't as impressive as even the Mini, take solace in the fact that TLG pulled it off and landed perfectly. It's accurate, it's highly-detailed, and, well, look at it. IT'S AN F40, DUDE. Only the McLaren F1 is even more legendary. And with that, we go to the scary part: Waiting for a leak and Finding out whether or not we're getting either the Porsche 959 (which is pretty bland save for the interior) or the McLaren F1 (which is basically a God cars themselves worship and revere) next. And whether or not it can be better than even the CamperVan. -

Let's just wait for the Designer video. Some D2C sets that were once considered "still-on-the-fence" ones eventually became winners when the Design clips dropped. -

Could be because they're still talking to other marques, like, say, Daimler for Mercedes-Benz (SLS, SL65 Black and AMG-GT, anyone?) or Volkswagen for Audi (R18 prototype, R8 road car and R8 LMS race car), or Lamborghini (Avenador and Huracan) or even Aston Martin (Vantage and DB9). Give it time and we'll get new cars. -

A hundred bucks for an impressive model built with 1158 pieces sure does rock, but I seriously looked for that dramatic Ferrari feel in the box art. -

Mounting points, I'm guessing. Should have the Maranello factory in the background. -

Those wheels. THOSE. WHEELS. and that (new?!) windshield. THAT. WINDSHIELD. and most especially... THAT ENGINE!!! For $100/€90 it's quite a steal. But man that box art is Nissan Altima-level bland. Quite a good thing that the bigger NACA ducts are brick-built, too. And the rear louvers are fantabulous. -

Don't fret, it wouldn't be much. Could be just for the dash, the NACA ducts and the badges.Also... $100?!?!?!?! 1300+ pieces projected and only $100? -

Auditioned for TopGear. Yes, there are auditions for TopGear UK, and cut off is 12 AM June 20. I went for it, wouldn't be chosen anyway, just to see if this kind of thing is legit. I might do it again in case Fifth Gear ends.
