Wishbone as torsion bar suspension part?

Nice setup but as you said it's not unsprung! Why don't you use instead of the beam a normal axle and then add 4 pneumatic cylinders? so this will give you more leafsprings effect but still suspended via pneumatics…which actually real cranes have anyway and they look cool!

42043 - MB Arocs 3245 Mods and Improvements

Siegfried your cab looks good but it's a bit "flat" around the corners...I think to round them a bit more would help a lot! On the side view you may want to fold the pillar/beam a bit more....so the from part of the roof starts 1 or 2 studs backwards. Also the black front wheelarches could be 2 studs thick.....at the moment they are only 1 stud thick..the same as the 42043....but since your's it's a bigger scale model then you should give it more "presence"...

Wishbone as torsion bar suspension part?

soon will be posted...I just need one more brickowl order to complete the rest of the truck! yes efferman did a nice job but I still don't see the point of that 3D parts as leafsprings are esily achievable with normal lego parts

Wishbone as torsion bar suspension part?

as leafprings I only use axles and they work perectly....simulates real leafspring with no problems...holding up to a kg ow weight...if not more...bend in a proigressive way and still remain quite soft when the truck is not loaded...

    Decool

Does anyone know about this chinese copy of LEGO models? It's called Decool and they are cheap copies of the our beloved LEGO models!! They sell the Ferrari 599GTB for $54 and apparently looks exactly the same! I'm not sure if I can put any link on here (it's a chinese shop) but just goodle it! What you guys think?

Funny how my position on fake-chinese- 3Dprinted parts has always been the same and quite clear! I do not accept them at all! Also, I don't get what you mean simply because I'm sure there are a lot of people like me that didn't/doesn't know about Decool, so I was just posting it here and then we can take it from there. A "useful answer" can be something about the product itself, not a comment like "here is not FONG KONG" !! I don't want people to understand me, I was happy to see there is someone else on my same page! SImple as this! To say " everybody doesn't agree with fake copies" or "of course we are all upset with it" it's not an opinion simply because you can't speak on behalf someone else. My reaction? No hard feelings at all...again I'm showing something, then people comments, and we go on.

    Decool

well it's a topic; a topic means other questions can be raised, and so on. I've just noticed this company/product new to me and here I'm! Also, what about all these people posting and using 3D parts, 3rd parts, NON-LEGO parts?? Isn't the same? Then basically should be banned from this forum isn't it? Some people could agree with buying fake sets, some may not. Some people may say that lego monopolise this "closed" market, where isntead should be more open so it could offer similar products. It's like a water supply, if there was only one company then they could rise the price as up as they want! maybe there is a company out there able to give a better quality product for less money as LEGO won't be the only one! It's not all about the price. So let's talk about our thoughts mr nerd! But looks like you know better...

Oh finally someone understands what I meant to say with this post!!! Great Max, it's good to inform people so they can keep the "spoilt" away....

    Decool

The opinion I'm looking for aren't about the model itself. They are about what people think of a company that copies another one! What's our thoughs about it? Does it upset us? Are we ok with it? Please only uselful answers...

    Paradoxical gears and Hobson coupling

These really freak me out too!!!! Amazing stuff!!Had to google them...there is always so much to learn!! I'm wordering where instaed of a 90 degrees connector we could use a U joint to achieve different angles....therefore this could be used on a front axle for turning wheels??

    Sariel's Technic 2016 1H video reviews

There is something fundamentally wrong in your reviews sariel, at the beginnin of each video you mention "I don't know how can you get one" referring to the fact you got it earlier for review, well this is missleading! Sounds like other people won't be able to buy this set, where instead you should simply say "available from 1st or X december/genuary at major retails/LEGO shops..."

    [REVIEW] 42046 - Getaway Racer

You're welcome! I'm not a huge fan of stickers, for 2 reasons: I do re-use all the parts normally...and also I believe a model should look great even without stickers, then obviously they can be a plus, but only afterwords! Anyway I'm enjoying the reviews as usual, and those pics   Thanks for making them Jim!!

    [REVIEW] 42046 - Getaway Racer

Jim great reviews but can I suggest you one thing? Take some pics before you apply the stickers....and some with the stickers on! It helps to have a comparison!

    Technic 2016 Discussion and Speculation

Ok thanks for the very kind answer Jim! I think most of us forgot about the mine loader  , defintiely not the best set out there this year! Anyway can't wait!!!!! The Heavy lift elicopter doesn't look too bad and comes with usefull parts!!

    Technic 2016 Discussion and Speculation

So Jim, could you please remind me what sets will you be reviewing?
  16. Honestly, look at the 8455, 700 pieces, all manual with pneumatics, simply one of the best technic set ever….I don't see a problem with not having PF or pumps or whatsoever….so happy to participate to this new wonderful contest!!
  17. The only reason why I'e asked is because in the past we already had a similar situation and in that case the mirrors weren't counted in!
  18. Ok perfect, it makes sense because we already had a model team contest! I'll try to use as less bricks as I can!!
  19. Also, can it be a studded design? With some resemblance to technic? Like using beams/panel here and there….
  20. I understand, infact last night I've started something completely new also because this time we have more weeks to work! But still this new moc could have mirrors as it's a vehicle….so my question is still valid!
  21. Here nobody is trying to find holes or playing unfair, I was just asking because I have a MOC that could suite this competition, but having side mirrors It won't pass the cubic rule! I remember few contest ago we had the size limit aswell and someone had side mirrors…they were not counted in the size limit! So ZBLJ yes you are very rude without the right to be! People ask because they want to make sure their moc will be allowed in.

    [HELP] Unimog Chassis

Well, one way I guess is to buy spare parts and use the instructions...then having a frame/cabin you can always use it as you want! It does have differentials, actually 3....both axles and middle one! It has reductions on the hubs, 4WD, and great suspensions. It's one of those sets that cost a fortune, but in my opinion it's always worth it!!! What sort of price are you looking to spend maximum?
  23. If we build a vehicle with side mirrors will they be counted in or not? Size wise I mean...

    Technic 2016 Discussion and Speculation

It really must be..but on the other hand these are oly the small sets anyway..... I do love the plane aswell......so cute and full of useful parts!!!!!

    [HELP] Technic 42009 Crane Outriggers

I think the problem is much simpler....it's actually a common one! Simply try to flip the 12teeth gears on the axle that moves the linear actuator.....
