    MOC - Apartment life

Hey guys! I’ve lived almost of my adulthood in an isolated house, with neighbors’ houses at least 5 meters apart from mine. So, noise, loud music or the nice lady dog ruin my day by putting his dirty paws on my pants in tight corridors was never an issue. But life is life and a few years ago I moved to a nice apartment. It has his pros, but is has a LOT of cons either! So, reviving my very first MOC (my own living room) I decided to build this MOC on minifig scale. It’s dedicated to all the people who lives in apartments and now what I’m talking about :) The goal was to represent several different rooms. Inspiration came from a pic I saw on the internet a few months ago. Unfortunately I didn’t save the photo and can’t find it anymore, but I kept the idea and thought it would make a good MOC. It has a living room, a kitchen, a TV room, a laundry room, a home gym, an office and a bedroom. I didn’t put any minifigs because I wanted this MOC to focus only on the rooms itself. Again, if you would be so kind to tell me which room is your favorite, I would appreciate! :) Enjoy Apartment life Apartment life TV room Living room Home office Home Gym b Kitchen Bedroom Laundry

Big Nose Bill, the lonely Pirate

And it means. It means that I like your work. But I started following you on Flickr after your Grief and joy MOC and didn't honestly noticed this one in particular. But, anyway, we are all here to learn and evolve with others, so...

Big Nose Bill, the lonely Pirate

Thanks guys for the comments. This comment (and the ones that you posted on my flickr) makes me think that somehow I offended you.. The truth is that this build was, like I said before, inspired by Vitreolum Mocs and not by yours, as I didnt know your build until you posted it on my flickr. If there are similarities they were not on purpose and if you were the first to use the technics, well good to you and congratulations.

    MOC - Kid's room

This was made a few weeks ago but I was waiting for some modulex. Today I was able to get some and took some quick shots of the MOC. It represents a kid's room, based on my own childhood room, with some doodles hanged on the walls, lots of toys on the floor, lots of comics and a real mess :) My favorite parts are the mini Imperial Shuttle and the flowers pot hanged next to the window. What's yours (if any!)? :) Hope you like it! Kid's room Kid's room Kid's room
  9. Thanks guys and galls for the comments. I'm realy glad you all liked. And yes, I agree with some of the comments about these not look like a forest. It has lots of trees but they are small compared to the huge display area, and look sparce. But I ran out of parts (and time) so this was the best I could do. As I said, my idea was to make lots more trees and specially bigger ones to amke it look like a lush and thick forest. Maybe the next time the display is assembled

    MOC - Kid's room

Thanks a bunch guys. Did not expect to get to front page with this one. Always an honor! Yes, that is supposed to be chemistry set like some kind of distillation apparatus..
  11. Hey Guys I've been wanting to do a ruins build for quite some time and thought that the mighty forest of Avalonia would be the perfect for it. Continuing his long journey trough Vanhorn enchanted forests, Adam manage to get a small boat to go up Green Lake river and get to the next village so he can get some supplies. Passing trough the lake he stumbles across an old watchtower, so old and decayed that a magnificent tree was able to grow from inside and the branches and leaves sprouts from every cranny and hole! He realizes then, that he must close to a village... Finally he will be able to get some rest and a proper meal. His task is daunting and it's finally close to an end... The size is 2x2 BP (48x48) and I used 3000 tiles 1x1 in trans-green! :/ Hope you like it! Green Lake Tower Ruins Green Lake Tower Ruins Green Lake Tower Ruins

MOC - Carripana - Old Truck

Thanks guys and gals! It is indeed a very good feeling building different things. I've been so focused (for various reasons) on medieval/fantasy MOCs that I almost forgot how fun is to build anything in Lego. Thanks for your comments, and yes this is my very first vehicle. It turned out a little to big, I agree.. My initial plan was to not include a minifig but later on I decided to put one and a little "story" to go along and it looks a little bit strange indeed. I'm not sure I understand about the rim. Do you mean on the wheels? If so, that's a very nice suggestion. I did not think on that. Thanks for the tip. Always learning

MOC - Carripana - Old Truck

I've been wanting to do some builds different from my usual castle/fantasy tendency, so while I'm waiting a few days for some parts to arrive to do more builds to my LUGs Fantasy display, I decided to make this little truck. This is based on one of many trucks that I saw (and hitchhiked) on my home little town when I was a kid. Mr. Manel da Linda is very annoyed because that little bastard is taking toooo long to cross the road... :) This is my first thing with wheels :) so please bare with me. I must say I had lots of fun building this and definitely want to do MOCs of different themes from now on! Thanks for watching! PS: Carripana is portuguese for "old decaying ugly truck"! ;) Carripana Carripana Carripana
  15. Hey there, First things first: I really dislike square bases, this one was made just to cover the basic bricks that I used to elevate the all build to match the rest of the display. Just Ignore it :) This is another build to my LUGs (comunidade 0937) display that will be first time showed on Arte em Peças on the first 2 weekends of June. It will be part of a village that it will be inserted on a large display next to my blueWater Castle. The Wedgwood house and the Healer’s House will be part of it to. It was a real blast building these one because of the color scheme that I just happen to love. The roof is bright light orange and the landscape is primarily lime green. It has lots of little details, both on the cottage but also on the landscape. It’s 4 side viewable too, of course. Enjoy! Morisledge Cottage Morisledge Cottage fggfgr Morisledge Cottage

    MOC - Morisledge Cottage

Almost forgot to answer here... Thnaks guys! Thanks Patrick for your kind words, again. This is not on GoH because I didnt have a bealivable good enough story to go with it.. I suck at those...

    MOC - Morisledge Cottage

Thanks everyone for the kind remarks! No, I'm no magician... Actually the roofs are quite simple. It's a mix of hinges, plates and wedges and the real "secret" is how I cover them up with tiles and plates in a few ways, basically half connected and with different heights. Maybe one day I'll do a tutorial on that The string that I use is real Lego string! I'm a purist, and the only thing less purist is the cutting of the flexible tubing. But I agree with you, it adds a lot of character to the build. Love it to!

As portuguese and an Algarve lover, I can tell you that this is very accurate. The cliff is spetacular as the rest of the MOC. Congratz!

Thanks, that quite a compliment! Your welcome! You should join a LUG if you haven't already. Well it also helped that the most important parts were already parted out in small containers. That helped a lot for sure. Thanks basiliscus! Obrigado! Thanks! Thank you. Thank you for your kind words. I'm glad you enjoy it. Thank you Master! Thanks! Thank you. I do enjoy using vibrant colors specially on the landscape.I think it gives a sense of whimsical to the build that it's appealing to me. Thanks a lot Soccer! Coming from you this is a real nice compliment. Hey Halhi, thank you for your words. I agree with you, normal green is not my first choice, but with tis size (and the rest of the display also) I will have to use lots of it. I try to put some other shades of green like dark, olive and sand on top of it to give more texture and variaty. I also think that the roofs came out nice Thanks! It took me around 250 hours in 50 or so days. It was intense!

[MOC] – Freebuild – BlueWater Castle

In these case, these MOC was made for my LUG's expositions so 95% of the parts belongs to them/us. And yes, they have ways of buying parts with good prices like on LUG Bulks and such.

Thanks guys for all the comments. Thanks Ecc for the highlight on the frontpage virtualrepublic - It sure is possible, but I don't think I would ever manage to do it myself. Hugo - Thanks, it sure will be hard work but I think it will be a great display.
