Hi guys! Today I have my latest Moc, the Z-95 Headhunter. I think that this is one of the coolest starfighters, seeing as they've seen service before the X-WIng, and alongside it. There are a few versions of the Z-95, but I chose the one I liked best (and had nice renders for). Seeing as the Z-95 has one incarnation (albeit a clone version) and is very similar to the X-wing, I used some parts/techniques from 75004 and 9493. Overall, I'm quite pleased with how this Moc turned out. My only concerns are stability of the wings/body. The paint job is just meh, but I guess that's easily changeable. If you want to read up on the Z-95, you can do so here. Comments and criticisms are welcome, as always. I'd love to post the LFX, but I'm not really sure how to do so just yet And now, onto the pics. All pics are on my flickr. Hey guys! Today I have my latest MOC, the TIE Emancipator. I made this guy when I was experimenting with some tie fighter designs. The wings are a mix of the Tie defender and Darth Vader's Tie. I took a lot of inspiration from Cornwaille's amazing Tie designs, but there are some changes I want to make to make it more in line with 9492. I've finally managed to make renders without making tons of changes. I've also made up a little story to go along with this guy. Lastly, here is the LFX file: New Tie 2.lxf All pics are on my Flickr. Enjoy! The TIE Emancipator was a TIE variant developed shortly after the Battle of Endor, originally intended as as a successor to the TIE Defender, but evolved into it's own fighter. The TIE Emancipator was a heavy fighter / assault craft, boasting 2 light guns, 4 medium guns, 2 heavy cannons, and 2 concussion or proton missile launchers. It could also be outfitted to carry proton torpedoes and proton bombs, depending on the mission. The Emancipator carried heavy shields, but no hyperdrive, since it was intended to work in atmosphere or around capital ships if needed. The Emancipator had the same engines as the TIE Interceptor, but heavily modified to match the speed the TIE Interceptor could output. The Emancipator saw great success as a ground attacker, being able to rip apart rebel bases with ease. As a fighter, it also saw success, but not as great as the other fighters in the Empire's arsenal. It did better at a capitol ship attacker than a dedicated fighter. Although it's success, they're were only a few thousand ever created, joining the group of Imperial fighters that were too few, to late. Sorry for the huge story guys, now onto the fighter itself! LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
GuyDudeMan27 replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
It's the mouth print that is upsetting. It's at a much steeper angle than a normal stormtrooper, and doesn't conform to the mold of the helmet. The prints aren't even as detailed as the OT ones, and have a cartoon-y look. That's why there's so much hate. -
Looks good! It just looks like a robot, not an animal in some armor. It's probably pretty hard to get those details in, but anything would work. I also think the color scheme is a bit too clean. The picture makes it look very dirty and worn. Just some stuff to consider. But still a great little build!

Looks great! I have fully tiled wings on mine, and I can't imagine going back. I absolutely love the engine design as wel! I saw something similar and I wanted to implement it on mine. Maybe I'll use this as inspiration. What more do you have to do?

[MOD] Imperial Assault Carrier 75106 - Need advice
GuyDudeMan27 replied to ArchieNov's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I actually love this! It's super simple, but it gets the job done. I'm not a huge fan of the assault carrier, and if I ever did get it, I'd probably just drive myself mad with practically tearing it all apart to make it look better. I'm already seeing improvements I could make I'll wrap this up so I don't end up Mocing myself one I already fell victim to Moding (Really just Mocing now) a B-Wing and Kylo's shuttle But great Mod! -
My tiny little gentle modification of 75094 is in progressing
GuyDudeMan27 replied to billyamy's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Looks great! I tried for hours and thought it impossible to replicate the 10212 cockpit design for minifig scale. But kudos to you! I want to do pretty much all the mods you did here at some point, I'm just too lazy to get around to it but I also have other projects so I'll use them as my excuse. -
Looks great! I've also been modding 9493, and I've found it a very fun and interesting challenge. One question, did you change the wing mechanism at all? I want to re-do fine, but I don't feel like there's enough depth to achieve everything I want to do. Also, How did you make the stand? It looks amazing. I would love to make some kind of stand like that foe mine as well.

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
GuyDudeMan27 replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Hi there! As a general rule, I don't like eBay when trying to buy Lego. It often turns out to be a hassle for little things like this. I prefer to use Bricklink, as you can buy almost every Lego part ever made, in addition to every mini-fig and set. You can find all the listing for the cloud city Boba Fett here. I never realized until now, but they're quite pricey If you want to use eBay, maybe message the seller and ask if it's custom or not. Otherwise, compare it against other images to see if there are any discrepancies. I hope I could help! -
LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
GuyDudeMan27 replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
It's all old news by now. The only sets we're missing (I think) are the Battle of Takonda and the A-Wing. We have absolutely nothing about the A-Wing yet, which is a bit worrying as I'm really interested in it. These are planned for a January release date, correct? -
[MOC] [WIP] The Command of the AT-AT
GuyDudeMan27 replied to LiLmeFromDaFuture's topic in LEGO Star Wars
This is absolutely stunning! I realized you were a great Moc-er when you debuted your Snowspeeder (which I still wanna build), but this is leagues above it. All the shapes of the head are represented perfectly. The details you added are in great abundance, and really bring the model to the next level. Almost everything I could think of is represented there, including some of the more minute details. Details like those really bring out the model. I have high hopes that this will be the best AT-AT model ever created, which is a title I think it deserves. I would also like to take a moment to gush once more about your photography. If you can't tell, I'm a big fan I absolutely love the mid section as well, specifically the pale stripe. It provides the perfect break from the monotony of the LBG. I almost even like that color better than LBG I really can't wait to see this all come together. It's gonna be one of the best Mocs I've ever seen, for sure. Good luck with your building! -

Personally, I like the gunship better. The AT-TE is pretty good, but a bit too static. The gunship is a blast to build, and a blast to just play around with. Not to mention its impressive looks when on display. The AT-TE is just kinda a blob of grey to me. -
LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors
GuyDudeMan27 replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I have a feeling it's gonna be very similar to the last one. There can't be too much innovation in a microfighter. I really want a blue and white X-Wing pilot helmet like some of the Poe figures out there. I think I really just want a blue and white X-Wing -
[MOD] Imperial Shuttle and two First order TIE
GuyDudeMan27 replied to mordatre's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Your shuttle and Ties look fantastic! I've had an obsession with getting a good shuttle built before I bought Tyderium, but about a month ago I caved. I really wanna re-do the wings like yours now, as the plated wings just look a bit off. -

Looks nice. But personally, I would have put more black. The grey almost looks white next to the black. But that's just me. -
LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
GuyDudeMan27 replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
They could be gloves. But I seriously doubt that that's Luke. It's an ad for Droid Tales. No relation whatsoever to Episode VII. And honestly, making a home made Luke can't be that hard. Cape, hood, black legs, black robes, and a scraggly old man face. I doubt he'll even have a big role in the movie so it doesn't matter too much anyway. -
Absolutely amazing! I love the design of the rebels, and I love the sense of the encounter that is soon to come. The landscape is just superb. What about the white backgrounds? I'd love to learn how to make some myself.

Interesting. I can definitely see where you're coming from. I like the simple two wing designed ships as well, but the X-Wing has an amazing charm to me. Not to say I don't love me a good Z-95

Thank you for the bump. If you look at the pictures on my Flickr, there is a bit of room behind the cockpit. I have some greebles thrown back there at the moment, but that could easily become cargo space. It's funny you mention TLG releasing it, as my original looked almost exactly like a TLG model. That's why I further designed it to the final version, version 3. I tried to get it on Lego Ideas, but I was shut down at every step of the way. Apparently, it's fine to post a near exact replica of a TLG set, but a completely original design, God forbid. And then they claimed that the renders I made weren't even my own. But this is an EU based Moc, so TLG will never make a model like this one. As for the time it took, this isn't a good Moc to ask that for. The original design was knocked out in a few days, probably less, in LDD. Then I spent a few days nit-picking, and then I was done. Of course, this was only the first version, and it was very rough. I honestly hate that design. As for the second one, I took my time to master accuracy and make the best ship I could, so it took a lot longer. Maybe a good week or two? So maybe overall, I would say a few weeks. Thanks! I really have a soft spot for it too. I'd love to build it and display it next to mt modded X-Wing, but I don't have the money or time. What do you mean by over fussy? A big inspiration for this was Mike Psiaki's amazing X-Wing, which I have and am modeling my modded X-Wing after. Would you call that over fussy? As I said above, I'm really not a fan of the first version for the simple reason that it looks like a TLG model. I want something distinctly my own, with my own style. The nose may be a bit much, but I like it.

I wanna call that fake. The blocks are inside each other and some look a bit warped. They don't even make sense. Technic axles, cones, gears, and shrubs? No. That and the weird shadow texture on the bottom. Plus the little ad for The Force Awakens seems out of place. Not to mention how similar it is the ad for Rey's Speeder. And as a general rule, I don't really trust YouTube as a reliable source for this stuff. -
LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
GuyDudeMan27 replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
As a general rule, I wouldn't trust him. He's been known to be a bit shady. He probably made it all up to get his 5 minutes of fame. Sets like that would never happen. Ever. -
That's not why. The rubber bands are color coded regarding their size. The size they used just so happened to be blue. 9493 conveniently used white ones, so they blended in. As for the actual model, it's fantastic! The simple color swap made it look so much better. I'd love to see how you made the wing mechanism, as I want to incorporate a similar system on my own modded 9493. I always had an issue with Mike's mechanism, as the wings would never deploy properly on mine. How similar is it to his? Is it more stable?
