    Mixels 2014 Discussion

The ones that come with Nixels from this wave are Chomly, Balk and Slumbo, looking at the instruction booklets again

    Legends of Chima 2014

I wouldn't say it's exactly like a spring loaded missile, since the exploding rock comes in 3 pieces when you open the set and works by using an elastic band. But in terms of energy storage, both the exploding rock and the spring loaded missile work from very similar first principles

    Legends of Chima 2014

^ Well, I definitely wouldn't recommend Stinger Duel myself, the only draw there is the 2 exclusive minifigs, but even then the price tag (£15 here) makes it feel like a ripoff, not to mention nearly impossible to play. I tend to buy the Speedor sets only if it's the cheapest way to get a minifig. None of them really tempt me enough to pay RRP, so I'll probably pick up the rest if they ever go on sale. But having said that, I'm still waiting on the three Speedorz sets we haven't seen yet, I may buy them if they contain new characters. However, looking at 70150 again (it's on the back of 70151), the "claws" part has a rubber band powered function too which makes them snap shut. Oh, and it's not obvious from the pictures, but the splittng boulder piece (the packaging refers to it as an "exploding rock") is very sensitive when closed. Just tap it and it'll spring open.

Also, fom that scan I posted of the instructions, it looks like Mungus has exactly the same head cover piece as the smaller mammoths. Could this mean we now have a bigfig with a fully removable head? And I would be inclined to agree with you Fritzy, the Speedor sets seem to have been rather lackluster this year. £10 seems rather much for what you actually get in my opinion, but there's enough new parts here to keep it interesting

    Single Pane Star Wars Funnies

Thanks for the responses to my first funny, it inspired me to do a second one, which I wanted to do ever since I first got the Revan promo minifig. It's probably not as funny as the tanning booth one, but I'm sure all smartphone users (including me) can sort of relate to it LEGO Star Wars Single Pane comic - Autocorrecting Revan by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr Enjoy!

    Legends of Chima 2014

I found many of the Summer 2014 Chima Speedorz sets (70150, 70151, 70155 and 70156 if I remember correctly) at my local LEGO Store (Westfield Shepherd's Bush) today, so I picked up 70151 (Frozen Spikes) and took a few pictures of the set's contents: https://flic.kr/s/aHsjXp2uFx But what I found more interesting was this double page spread at the back of the instruction booklet detailing most of the new 2014 figures: https://flic.kr/p/nwwJTy - look particularly under the Worriz minifig at one of the large sizes, and one of the sets he's listed as being in is 30265 - is this possibly a brand new Chima polybag set that hasn't been mentioned yet?

    Mixels 2014 Discussion

I saw the Series 2 Mixels at my local LEGO Store today, and I couldn't resist picking up all nine of them! And since people are wondering what the Maxes look like, here's a scan of all three of them from the instructions which I did: https://flic.kr/p/nycZPM

    Hello from TheOneVeyronian!

Hello Eurobricks community! I am TheOneVeyronian, you may have seen me around on Flickr and the Brickset Forums over the past year or so, so I guess if you frequent those you might already know me . I'm from the UK, specifically London, and despite what my username might suggest otherwise, I am a 20 year old girl who is about to finish university. I've lurked around Eurobricks for a short while, but only recently did I decide I wanted to create an account here. I've been into LEGO for as long as I remember, and I've never had a "true" Dark Ages, but my serious LEGO collecting most likely started in 2012. I primarily collect sets and minifigures, however I am also a frequent general MOC'er, but largely MOC's based around some of my other interests, for example cars or rock music. For example, here's a picture of a couple of my Bugatti Veyron MOC's, a minfigure scale and a 1:17 scale one (the 1:17 scale one was my first MOC) to show you: LEGO Minifigure-scale Car - 7-wide Bugatti Veyron 5 by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr Well, that's my introduction to this forum, I will probably not post very often, but you will find me browsing in the forums that interest me most: Star Wars, Action Themes, Sci-Fi and Action Figures, and occassionally the Town and Special Themes forums. In the meantime however, I look forward to making a positive contribution to Eurobricks. Any questions please ask

I've been a fan of this thread for a while, way before I joined, and I thought I'd like to contribute my own funny based on my favourite cyborg Grievous, which has been on my Flickr for a while now (apologies for the photography, this was taken before I became proficient with lighting techniques): LEGO Star Wars Single Pane comic - Grievous in the Tanning Booth by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr Enjoy!

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors

I am liking that PK-4 droid very much, I will have to add that one onto my "to buy" list. Is that a dark brown spatula piece it's holding?
  12. Hello! I hope these are okay to post here, I think this is the most appropriate forum to post these in. So, it's no secret that I love LEGO and I love music. And fairly recently, I found a way to combine the two, and that was to create some LEGO mosaics of some of the albums I like to listen to while I build. They are created in LDD (I would love to build them in real life, but unfortunately I don't have the funds to do that yet ) For best viewing I recommend actually viewing the head on shots at small sizes or at a distance. Each mosaic is made up of 9,220 pieces and is 96x96 studs in area. So, here's the first mosaic: a LEGO interpretation of the album art of Muse's "The Resistance", one of my all time favourite modern rock albums (opinons may vary): LEGO LDD Mosaic - Muse The Resistance album cover by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr And an angled shot so you can see the studs: LEGO LDD Mosaic - Muse The Resistance album cover (angled shot) by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr And the original album artwork for reference: And here's the second mosaic: a LEGO interpretation of the album art of Kasabian's "Velociraptor!": LEGO LDD Mosaic - Kasabian Velociraptor! album cover by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr And again, an angled shot so the studs are more visible: LEGO LDD Mosaic - Kasabian Velociraptor! album cover (angled shot) by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr And original album artwork for reference: That's all for now, I will most likely end up creating more of these mosaics in time. Comments and constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated, and thanks for looking!

    Hello from TheOneVeyronian!

Thankyou very much Gorelaxx and Sir Brickalot - I'm sure I've seen you both around as well. Thanks for making me feel welcome! Thanks for the compliments on my Veyrons too - it is probably obvious from both my username and the fact I have two MOC's of it that my favourite car is the Bugatti Veyron
