    MOC | Lego Blue Yoshi

Hey! This is one of the first posts I have made on this forum for a long time. Bit rusty I wanted to share this MOC of Blue Yoshi that I made back in 2017. It was the first time building something like this to that scale. It was challenging but so much fun. Can see places where I could improve if I ever build a Yoshi 2.0 My dream would be to have a whole family of all the different colours (though Blue is the best ) Blue Yoshi 1 Blue Yoshi 2 I was inspired to make this after seeing the old model of Ollie the Dragon.

    MOC | Breakfast With Quicky

Here is a little Lego Vignette I made a while back. It depicts a young boy waking up in the morning to find Quicky the Bunny in his kitchen having some breakfast. Of course the boy is excited to see him, however Quicky himself is a bit annoyed with the choice of cereal on offer... Breakfast with Quicky by Adam Hickey, on Flickr Hope you enjoy it :)

Who's Your Favorite Film Composer and/or Score?

Ennio Morricone. One of the most versatile composers of our time. The Ecstasy of Gold is perhaps one of the greatest pieces of film music ever written. The motifs of Once Upon A Time in the West too is supberb and The Thing is one of the most atmospheric horror scores ever (even though John Carpenter eliminated most of Morricone's score from the film in favour of his own.) I do like John Williams, Bernard Hermann, John Barry and Howard Shore, however I feel Morricone has a sound more distinct and more versatile than the others. My least favourite is Hans Zimmer. Whilst I enjoy Gladiator, I feel his scores are too similar to one another.

    Oscars 2019

I was hoping that Orson Welles's The Other Side of the Wind would have got a nomination for a category. I'm guessing that since it was distributed by Netflix that it was illegible for a nomination. I've not seen any of the films nominated however I reckon for Best Picture it'll be Roma, Best Director Alfonso Cuaron, Best Actor Rami Malek and Best Actress Melissa McCarthy
  10. The Twin Towers were always my favourite buildings. I loved the look and style of them. I wish I had the opportunity to see them. I had always wanted to make a Lego version of the towers, and I thought I would do it minifig scale. I had hoped to create the entire complex, in different sections, in minifig scale, however I did not anticipate the limitations of LDD. As a result, all I have managed to create so far is lower third of a wall from one of the Trade Towers, which I have attached below. I remember 9/11 as if it were yesterday. I was at school and I heard murmurings from the teachers about a fire or an explosion at a train station or something. I knew something had happened but did not know the full scale. When my mum picked me up at the end of the day, she told me that the Twin Towers had been hit and that one of the towers had collapsed. I did not believe her at first, but when we got home, my brother walked out of the house and told us that the second tower had collapsed. I rushed in and the first images I saw were of the dust covered streets of New York. I am currently in the process of building the rooftops of both towers, which I will add to this thread once finished. I will also probably build other sections of the complex too as time goes on.

MOC - Twin Towers World Trade Centre

I have also had a go at doing the angle on the roof in a separate LDD file. I felt that this part of the build was quite tricky to get right, and I still think it could be improved on, as I feel the triangular angle should be much smoother, however I think the slopes I used on this file work better than the slopes I was previously using, as the previous slopes would not meet in a triangle.

Thanks for the tips. Think it will make it easier. Will do Going to take my time with it, and work on it every now and then. Some more pictures of the roof. Some mistakes here and there, for instances the windows directly underneath the mechanical floors should also be mechanical floors, so I will change them at a latter date.

Thanks everyone :) I have added some more photos, and have now begun work on the tops of the towers. Hope LDD will be able to handle it. Mechanical floors Angle of wall Base of tower Top of Tower
  14. Hello, I have created a MOC of the Orca from the classic Steven Spielberg film, Jaws. I was wondering if you could give me your thoughts, opinions on it? http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/62906 I have tried to be as close to the original ship as possible, including getting the sheer and camber of the vessel. Some bits were quite difficult to put in, such as the curved railings heading down to the bow from the pulpit. I also couldn't find a rope on LDD for the barrel on the transom, so I decided to use a chain. Thanks for viewing!
