Warlen looks away from the horizon. He'd been silent all through the talking, and planning, and the farewells... He sighed, and turned to Karie. "I just... I never realised how much that... well... revenge meant to me. I thought I'd moved past it, left it behind, but..." He looked at her, almost scared. "I killed those people, and I killed Vorpalis, and I enjoyed it. I thought that maybe stopping Vorpalis would give me some... I don't know, closure. But it just hasn't. If anything..." He trailed off, and a shadow slipped into the corner of his eye. -

Warlen looked down at Vorpalis' body lying there, dead. He opened his mouth to say, or maybe mutter, something, but then the huge... well... God appeared. After getting over his initial splendour at the legendary dragon, he backed away, looking for a shadow, terrified of the possible wrath of the dragon. Even with his guarantee, Warlen was still scared after his display of casual fire. -

Warlen shouted at Vorpalis. "You didn't kill him, Vorpalis! He was stronger than you! That's why we won't die! Because you, for all you terrible might and power..." He stopped, paused for effect, and the grim smile crept back onto his face. "You will lose." Warlen attacks the feet twice. On a roll of enchant, he enchants his shield. -

Warlen comes out of his vicious frenzy, calming down as the concoction of consumable creations exits his system. As Vorpalis flies off, he watches, hatred in his eyes, before turning his attention to Faust. It was clear that Faust was not the only one who had broken something in his mind, as a shadow stole into Warlens eyes. -

Right. 138ers, I feel an explanation is in order. I recently changed schools after 9 years at my old one, due to my teaching requirements not being fulfilled. I won't go into details, but it was a bad situation. So for the past couple of weeks my schedule, and indeed, my life, has been somewhat hectic. Stuff is winding down now, so I should be able to post more regularly. Just don't expect any big RP conversations outside of the weekends. Really sorry for not being able to explain sooner, but as my hastily-posted message yesterday explained, it's sorta hard. On the bright side, though, I think it's become that I can resume normal activity! Thanks for your patience, everyone! -TCM. -

Warlen gazed, outraged, at Vorpalis. He opened his mouth to say something, but the others said it all for him. Hastily, he attempted to cast sleep on Aeoleus, before sculling a Mead, Nostrum, Smelling Salts and Hurricane in turn. Drawing out the pile of robes from the bottom of his pack, he pulled on the robes.* "Vorpalis!" he yelled, holding up the hand his ring was on. "Do you remember your brother?" *I should have the robes and ring equipped. -

Aahh, Heroica. A year and a half now I've been here, give or take a few weeks. Hell, I remember how through Flipz' first quest, and mine, I didn't even know how to play! :roll: I wasn't particularly good at RP then, either, and I'd like to thank the heroica community for helping me, inadvertently or otherwise, to learn, particularly Flipz, Sandy, KotZ, Lind and Endgame, along with Actaeton, Vindsval, Miderun, Bobby, and of course Annienal. In terms of quests, I'd have to award the badge of "Favourite" to Endgame for #134, as that was without a doubt my favourite quest. To all the players out there, hero on. To QMs, past and future thank you. To Sandy, for organising the game, a massive debt of gratitude. And to Heroica and its Heroics? HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! -

Warlen nods at Karie, pulling off his Robes of the Fenarian Vampire, and replacing them with the Tourist Hat. Then he expended one ether to grow a frosty beard and colour his hair white. He looked like an old man with no fashion sense, but a twinkle in his eye. He made sure to wrap his wand carefully into his robes, stowing them at the bottom of his pack, with scrolls and potions on top. "Let's go." -
