What non-UCS set do you think best depicts the original?

75021 Republic gunship Spot on except for the ball turrets -
I kinda like it. I really want that orange snowspeeder (not joking). I only have the 1999 snowspeeder, the 2014 one and the latest AT-AT as Hoth sets. I see why many of you dislike this set. First it's really expensive 250$ US, 345$ CAD with taxes included. Also, it's not really UCS, it' just a big playset. And if you collected the other Hoth sets you already have most of what is included in this set. But remember, Lego is a rich kids toy. I think my purchase will depend on if I can find 345$ and if they release Hoth BPs next winter wave.

I know right. And the 30$ price point made it even more unbelievable. I mean, with the new prices, the 30$ sets don't even exist anymore.... When even the UK and US price are overpriced, the rest of the world can cry... Anyway, I hope the UCS Echo base will be nice and that we will get related BPs next wave. NY toy fair is soon. Can't wait!!! -
LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors

Well brickset just released a summer 2016 set list and it includes the 75145 Anakin'S Podracer http://brickset.com/article/18566/Summer-2016-set-lists-discovered It's from january 5 so it might be outdated. There is only this information out there. So for now I would say yes we are getting one. -
Thanks for the review! I will definitively be picking this set up when it comes out in America. The imperial driver, the crates and their contents are the highlight and will be a nice addition to my display of Rebels sets. The bike is oversized and looks funny with Kanan on it but it's still a very cool bike. I like it. 7/10 is spot on for this set.

LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors

Correct me if I am wrong here but I think the price is not official yet. I do hope it's the real price tho. Last A-Wing was 24.99 usd and the tie advance was 39.99 usd. So we are looking at a 65$+ set if they have roughly the same number of pieces. According to me it's going to be a 69.99$ or a 79.99$ set. (89.99 or 99.99 CAD $ ) But I hope I am wrong... -
REVIEW 75135 Obi Wan's Jedi Interceptor
duboismerci replied to Vectormatic's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Welcome I did a couple reviews myself. They are fun to make but they do take a long time And I was comparing the fighters with the picture posted by wilson3a10 which is his mod. Now I see the difference. It's not a big one. Only thing bothering me is the canons and the droid socket. The rest I won't notice. I'll probly get it when it's on sale on may the fourth but I won't pay 29..9$ for it. (should go down to 23.99 CAD $ on sale) -
REVIEW 75135 Obi Wan's Jedi Interceptor

Thank you for taking time to make a review! It's a good one! (you might have rated the set a bit high IMHO. I would give a 6 or 7 tops) I don't see any difference between the 2 models except for the droid socket. Not sure if I will pick it up. I need a sale because at 29.99$ it's too much for a set I don't really need. ( I have the yellow one already) -
LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors

I went to my local TRU (jan 3) just to see if they had the new sets. They had the new episode VII sets. All the resistance BP were sold out and a few FO were left standing. The shelves with Battle of Takodana (74.99$) and the resistance transport (89.99$) were left untouched. Also, they were out of almost every sets but had a million sith infiltrator left at 109.99$ CAD I think the new prices aren't pleasing everyone... I hope the Anakin podracer for 25$ is the start a new wave of podracers. One released per year like with the Jedi Starfighters. The Vader's tie vs A-Wing reminds me of the Y-Wing vs Tie advance and could become one of the all time favorite for kids. Can't wait to see the minifigure line up of the CTT and of Echo base. When is the London toy fair? -
Even with all the SW sets and Mocs out there you managed to do something new that wasn't done before. Great build. Well done!

I think he meant seeing a star wars logo on food article (necessities) won't make him buy more or less of that article. And can anyone confirm the UCS Echo base? Only information I had was from a Lego store employee who told me it was in the database and would come out in october. Obviously it got delayed or he lied... -
[MOC] Imperial Troop Transport (With three 75078 set)
duboismerci replied to abyssahx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I think I like the 2 Bp version better. During the holiday I will try to build them both. I also have to make up my mind if I am going to buy an additional 12 ITT BP (I already have 12). One as never enough stormtroopers right? -

They are probably (for sure) going to update the minifigures. Add a couple different so people buy it again and fix some small flaws. (I don't know if there is any flaw, I don't on the set) -
I would say my 7130 Snowspeeder 7140 X-Wing 7150 Tie fighter & Y-Wing All from 1999. Remember when I got them for my birthday and a couples months later for xmas. Only set pre 2013 (when I came out of my dark age) that I had. They are still displayed in my collection and I don't think I will ever replace the X-wing and Y-wing because the newer version are too big and too expensive and aren't that much better according to me. I bought the new snowspeeder but I will still display the older one next to it as a reminder of how the line as evolved...

[MOC] Imperial Troop Transport (With three 75078 set)
duboismerci replied to abyssahx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Great build! Looks great. But I think I prefer your 2 bp version because it can fit the 8 troopers it comes with where the 3 bp version can only fit 10/12. Could you post some comparison pictures please? (and make them bigger) I haven't made up my mind yet on which version to build yet. -
There is no clear pattern. Sometime we get them same time as the US. Sometime multiple months later and some time we just don't get them. :( It's not like Canada is really far from the US.

Sadly, no.

The Battle on Takodana looks like a great set. Nice minifigure collection, nice build full of play features. Kid should have a blast with it. If I collected ep VII sets I would definitively pick it up. (maybe after I see the movie.....my wallet hopes not) -
Cody phase 2 We have the whole 212th but no commander...
