Hi everyone! I guess I am one of the small minority of girls who likes lego and loves building it!
I've loved playing with Lego since I was a little kid, but I only had four of those tub boxes so I was very limited to what I could build. I didn't have any big sets when I was younger, although I always wanted a castle, especially ones with trap doors etc, but I never managed to get one until I was 14/15 or so with the Oriental Castle (which I got for £15 in the Woolworths after Christmas sales).
I still have all my old vehicles I got when I was a kid. My favourites where always the lego system bug alien things. I can't remember their name but they where awesome!
After that, I didn't get much lego until I went away to uni and met my boyfriend who was interested in this stuff, which resparked my interest. I now own quite a lot of cool lego sets, including a fire station, police station, aqua base, two lego creator houses along with loads of robots, vehicles and the space police galactic enforcer. I was lucky a few years ago to get a load of sets cheap in a toy store that was closing down. All their stock was half price or more, meaning large sets where only £10-£20.
My most recent purchases are the series 1 minifigures, which have just hit the shelves in the local toy store here. With the barcode cheat, I've managed to get nearly all the figures I wanted, but I've still got two extras I didn't want (I love the Ninja and wanted a group of them anyway so he doesn't count). So far, I think my city, when built, is over run by minifigures. I know most people complain they don't have enough, but I have the opposite problem!
I also bought the latest fire helecopter for £15 last week in the Argos sale. It's so fun to build and mess around with, but the water pieces are going to get lost so easily if I'm not careful.
