100% Correct!...a Unique Figure of all time :)

My boyfriend has been collecting the "American-style" modulars (bank, detective, cinema), and this has convinced me to start collecting the European style ones (which I'll count this among). I've just bought the Pet Shop seen as it's retiring, then I need to get the Parisian Restaurant, and then this. I think we'll have a competition to see who has the best looking street. :)
and you both can combine all Modulars together for best looking city system ;)

Just now, tkatt said:Surely that plastic is grateful to finally feel oxygen and light. How did it feel tearing opening something so old? It's interesting that the head came attached to the torso in the package. Looking forward to your next unboxing.
```Cheers Mate!....In Old sets, the heads are always attached to Torsos...
agree with first 3 ranks. But i will give the Lord Of The Ring Ship last Rank and will pull the vintage Caribbean Clipper to Rank 4.
It is 9377 (1998) System Adventurers. Do you like it?
Ok..i got what you mean. No i never liked that Theme :)
-
It seems this catamaran had been a part of a larger set but then it was issued separately because it was nice by itself. It was the same with Anubis Temple 5988 - it had been a part of a set which number began as 91..... Do you know this set? It is very rare.
You have a point there, but i dont think that it was separated or lifted from concept set. I believe this was done to cop with set 6279 as both these sets are matching each other nicely ( IMO ) :)
You mean starting with 91 or ends with 91? i dont think there is a set starts with 91
cheers
What a nice coincidence. One of my upcoming MOCs will be featuring this katamaran.
You can already see it on Flickr
Wao!
Waiting eagerly for the MOC :)
Hi, VintageLegoEra. Sorry, I mixed numbers. I meant 1788 -LEGO pirate chest of 1995. Hope you make its review, too.
javascript:;
No worries Bud :)
Sure will do that
I did a scan to my sets ( modern and vintage ) and guess what!
The modern figures has no cracks but legs and arms became loose, while vintage figures are still solid.
I live in a hot and humid country.
Such nostalgic views!!! Though it isn't the best set of king Kahuka, it would be a pearl of many collections. I hoped it would be reissued when Islanders were 25. Alas. So I devoted my LEGO project to them. And I wish that to you, too. Which is your favourite Islanders set? Mine is 1781.
Agree! :)
mmm..There is no Lego Set by this number ( 1781 )...What set you were trying to refer to?
In total, There are 6 Islander Sets:
-6236
-6246
-6256
-6262
-6264
-6278
-6292 ( Re-issue of 6278 )
My Favorite Set is of-course the 6278 ( The Enchanted Island )
I will make more Islanders Review Soon! :)
Long time lurker here. My pirate loot of the past month made make my first post
I just got a 6257 Castaways raft, 6270 Forbidden Island and 6276 Eldorado Fortress all in good condition for €110 in total. Last month, I got a 6277 Imperial trading post in good condition for €95 and a like new 6274 Caribbean Clipper for only €45! Seriously, that Clipper had only been assembled once and was kept dust-free ever since. I got really lucky on that deal.
Couldn't be happier to finally own all these childhood dreams.
Awesome Deal and sets! :)
Now complete your happiness by sharing photos
It cost effective bricklinking the 10210, but bear in mind that it will not be 100% as original in terms of parts and colors due to rarity and high costs of the parts. But better than nothing ;)
-
Yesterday, whilst looking at French eBay I discovered an Imperial Flagship for 82 euros. It was from a collector, which is surprising because I would think he would know what it was worth.
looks like the parts are not vintage and could be from modern ones ( many sellers do that )...be careful!!!
If there's anyone who is just getting into pirates, there are a few non-set LEGO items that are relatively inexpensive NIB but have brand new minifigures, stuff like the 2009 Pirate magnets (from before they started gluing the figures onto the magnets) and the Jack Sparrow Nintendo DS game cases--no one seems to want those for some reason.
If any Vintage Sets, then let me know ;)
All the best buddy! :)
Somebody is either crazy or super eager to get rid of these.
