  1. Hi Electrorock;

Thanks, i'm glad you like my rendition of the Vic market facadde. I don't have instructions for it, or for anything i build - i kinda make it up as i go along. But i'm sure you could work it out by looking at what i've done and make a fair copy if you wished. :) Btw, do you go to MUGS? If yr in melb you might like to go to a meeting.

  2. I would love to sign up for the reviewer's academy. I've tried writing a couple of reviews before (not on EB) and it's definitely harder than it looks! I could use all the help i can get!

    TROY

Wow, looks great! The statues look amazing, i'd love to see some more close-ups.

    The Belfry in Bruges MOC

Brilliant work! The corner towers are especially nice. Hey, it's nearly as tall as i am!

Category A and Category B winners

Hey wow, i placed! That's awesome... and kinda unexpected! Thanks heaps to White Fang and the orginisers at EB for putting on such a fun comp. Thanks too for everyone who voted for me!
  6. This looks great! Looking forward to seeing it as it progresses.

    Dragon Knights Towers

Nice to see some more dragon fortifications! That's a cute little flag on the front of the outpost tower - seen from the front the cheese slopes look a bit like fabric. Not so keen on the white stonework print on the panels though - i think i'd prefer all black.
  8. Thanks for this AchillesPDX and MaskedBuilder! Now i'm all set for when we finally get series 4 in about 6 weeks or so.

    300 Spartan Pit Of Death

Really nice. The top-down views look especially dynamic.
  10. Got my "Rise of the Sphinx" in the mail the other day - can i just say that it far surpassed my expectations. The posability of the Anubis statue really is great, and it's so much fun making it chomp on minifigs and stomp on the car! I was prepared to find it's legs spindly, but was pleasantly surprised by thier bulk and durable connections. The only things i would have wished for would be a more contoured underbelly and a tail, but hey, that's what modding is all about, right? The car is also sweet, the little temple does the job, the minifigs are of course great, and the whole thing looks super-sexxay. If yr sitting on the fence with regards to this set, i'd say go for it!
  11. Wow, what a brilliant MOC, so much to look at and admire. I especially love the stained glass effect. Looking forward to hearing the rest of the story as well!

    Container Raffle Build

Ok, so i wanted to build a container home to welcome the new Maersk employees, in the event i should be so lucky in the raffle! I know the door overhangs a bit, so i wanted to show that this container definitely isn't going anywhere. Hope that's ok, but feel free to boot me out if it's not. I had fun building this, that's the main thing! And a shot to show off the furnishings! Cheers!
  14. Wah, $119 for the Mill raid?? I guess i'll be looking to B&N or someplace similar to get that then. Speaking of B&N, my "Rise of the Sphinx" arrived in the mail yesterday, which makes it 5 weeks since ordering on the cheapest mail option. It came via Belgium, which i didn't expect. Great set btw! Hanging out for my Pyramid now.

    TOWN: New Mannum Town Centre

Dude, all those tiny stickers!! Looks amazing though, really makes yr store interiors look so authentic and familiar.

    MOC: Queen Victoria market facade

Aw, i'm sorry to have to disappoint you, hopefully i can bring another MOC to the meeting after next? (not sure if i will be able to make next month yet) It was a really fun meeting though, it was my first time there so i was a bit nervous, but everyone was really welcoming. I hope the train show went well!

Wow, that "Nightwatch" photo is brilliant! Love it!

    TOWN: New Mannum Town Centre

Wow, what an immaculate little town! Just supurb, and those stickers just blend in perfectly. Best of luck with the train, i wouldn't have a clue where to start there. If you have room for a train station, I reckon a brick or bluestone one would look ace. Looking forward to seeing the pub too. Best of luck getting it all ready for the train show!

    MOC: Queen Victoria market facade

Thankyou very much! Yeah, a lot of my town compatible minifigs seem to come from the collectables. Some of the HP torso and legs have been useful as well.
  21. This is looking really nice. I can't wait to see interiors of the house and detailed shots of the vehicles. I agree that LEGO prob wouldn't ever do such elaborate bases, but i certainly wouldn't throw up my hands in horror if they did!

    MOC: Queen Victoria market facade

Thankyou very much for the kind comment and thanks as well for posting a reference pic, since i am clearly too lazy to get my own! Lovely pic too btw. Aw shucks! Thanks heaps, it's very encouraging to hear. Sadly i can neither expand this or keep it together as i need the peices for the D2C challenge in the action forum. So it's coming apart in next few days. Creation and destruction.. ah, the sweet life cycle of the plastic brick... Haha, that's ok, at least you can console yrself that you have the best theme song in the league. Yellow and black!

I'm more a union fan, actually. Used to play and all that. Anyway, i wouldn't touch the Storm with a bargepole atm, what with the massive salary cap cheating which went on there. So if it's ANY footy team called the Tigers, don't tell me you follow Richmond as well? My commiserations if so! Not going to expand, no - i need the bricks for other projects. I'd love to tackle Flinder's St station sometime though, it's a pretty awesome building. Did you know they had a ballroom upstairs there? For the use of employees, apparently, although it hasn't been used for years now.

MOC: 1/2 scale Green Grocer and Fire Brigade

Wow, this is phenomenal. Building that small is a real challenge, let alone building a replica of an existing model! I especially love the fire station - are you going to build a fire truck for it too?
