That's nuts, especially considering where you found it. Enjoy!

The style of the box is very pleasing. I look forward to seeing it in person.

Did you all see that Toys R Us has a month-long sale on LEGO? It's only 20% off as far as I know, but it's notable that it includes the Movie sets. Granted, this does not include sets from the newest wave, and the deal on the Rescue Reinforcements set isn't great because it goes by their gouged price of 99.99.

Not sure about the stubby legs on the Wiztastics Max form, but the Spikels Max looks like an anthropomorphic piranha (though it curiously lacks a tail), which is neat. The Clorp Corp Max is my fav of the three, though. Nice end pieces on the arms, interesting stance -- with it being lower to the ground than some of others -- and the slobber/goo is a fun and potentially functional feature. Thanks for sharing this find.

September LEGO Store Calendar - Classic Space VIP set!
Fritzy replied to just2good's topic in General LEGO Discussion
This is what I'm debating also. I was really looking forward to this promotion, but to set the threshold at $100 is exploitation. I don't blame them for setting the bar high, but it doesn't make this less of a disappointment. As much as I'd love this commemorative set, I'm already buying the Exo Suit this month, plus double points (potentially triple??) are right around the corner. Now I have to really think this over. Ugh... -

^ Same. Haha. It'd be a great centerpiece for a western scene. -
I'm excited to see that support for the Wall-E project has really gone up! It'll definitely meet 10k supporters in time for the next cutoff date.

Hopefully this news does suggest that a set of the submarine is in the works. It should cost less than the Sea Cow, right? Also, I wonder when we'll know of the other sets for the next wave. Anyone have a guess? -
Heh. That actually may be part of why I like it.

Space-themed Mixels! Nurp-Naut looks fun, quirky and unusual all in one. Hope there are more like him. Less thrilled about Burnard, as I don't know if he has enough variation from his counterparts aside from having both eyes in front and close together.

Indeed. I'd wager the next event is in October. I'm more interested to know if there will be an event for Triple VIP Points!
-
It's so good to know that this is finally happening, and it makes me eager and hopeful about what the future holds for this theme in 2015! That would be excellent. Will you post them in this thread? Either way, enjoy your time at the convention!

Good to know. Thanks for the heads-up.

Ghostbusters 30th Anniversary CUUSOO set Discussion
Fritzy replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in LEGO Licensed
From what I've read, this is not a rare issue. I recall there was a post about it on Brickset, but even elsewhere I've seen people say they're having problems with the booklet. -
Not sure about this because of the Flexers tribe. If they did go this route, blue has already been used to represent the Frosticons. Like Aanchir, I too am thinking pink might be used for the next roster.

Wicked. Thanks for sharing. Now I'm bummed I didn't get one. -

I do! I'd be happy with anything Western-themed (the chase sequence with the pigs would be a comical choice) as an extension of the Getaway Glider set. I wonder what the likelihood is of a set based on Cloud Cuckoo Land's destruction, as that might bode well for an appearance from Green Lantern (!) or Wonder Woman. Failing that, the Submarine would be stellar. I too am looking forward to having Emmet's apartment represented in some fashion. I'm not sure if they'd go full-on modular (I'm more inclined to think it'd be a small scene), but that would be crazy if they did. In any case, I'm thrilled to learn there's a third wave in the works! -
Shoot. Maybe I've been waiting too long. I didn't expect them to phase them out, for some reason. I need to start collecting Series 1 Mixels while I can...

I can confirm for you that he has indeed appeared in the show in this form. I have the DVD sets, and if you like, I can confirm the exact episode in Season 1 when it took place. -
If anyone is contemplating the Turtle Sub Undersea Chase set because of the bonus 50 VIP Points this month, you may want to consider picking it up for $15 less through Best Buy or Future Shop. There's only one left, though, and the sale ends today (no idea when it began or if it will continue after today — it's happened before on their site).

Excellent technique! Thank you for sharing this admirable creation.

After seeing the teaser video for the Exo Suit, I'm really hoping this idea of a resurgence comes to fruition!

I would imagine so, but pay attention to the timing windows on both. And consider the possibility that supply could run out by the time the second polybag becomes an option.
