What are some of the names for lego cities that you have created. Still in the early phases of getting sets and bricks but was thinking of a name and just wondered what is out there. My suggestions are: New Brickia Studs Ville Brick topic That's all I got. Let's hear your suggestions. Sorry that last one is supposed to say Bricktopia. Stupid autocorrect. Firstly thanks for everything you guys are doing, and second a query, is it possible to make the pages viewable offline? I sometimes load tabs when I have wi-fi to read later but noticed they all reverted to a please reload page when trying to view them later. I did wait for them to load up when opening initially. I am not sure this is even possible, I couldn't even begin to understand what goes on behind the scenes.

Grum's Shed
legoguy1984 replied to grum64's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thanks for sharing Grum, you are an inspiration and a lesson that nothing is too difficult if you put your mind to it. Your pictures are brilliant and I wouldn't worry about your quality, I've seen so much worse in reviews and as I don't build technic (yet) your builds give me a sense of what I'm actually missing out on. -

They are known as ZALug. Based in Gauteng. Still operational. search Facebook. -
Well done and answers the question of how the minifigs get in and out of cars without doors.

As long as they keep evolving Lego should never die. Just remember they started making wooden furniture(?) before making wooden toys and then moved onto plastic.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
legoguy1984 replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I don't think there being 20 figures or it being licensed should alter the price. The price went up with Simpsons due to licensing and then stayed the same for regular figs. Unless DC are charging more for the licensing it shouldn't change anything and even then I don't understand it as Lego already has the liscence. -
[MOC] Black Devil
legoguy1984 replied to Chade's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I never venture into the Technic side of the forum but what an awesome car. Seeing the video really makes me wish that Lego would do something like this so non-technic people could also get one. -

Decide what you are willing to spend, then decide how much above that you are willing to go while still being able to afford all that you need. As a married fan with a non fan wife my quick answer is: very carefully.

MOC: Trying out a new scale. Miniature scale Semi Truck
legoguy1984 replied to Modulex Guy's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Awesome truck. Love the detail you built into it. -
I remember buying one small set for the parts but on the whole it was never my thing. Years later I bought a mixed lot and got an alien minifigure, was very happy to add him to my collection.

It does seem like a great idea. It doesn't promote any of the stupid things that people have been doing, that's just stupid people without common sense, unfortunately there are too many of those people.

I have not seen the film so can't comment on that but your build is amazing and the details are just incredible. Love everything about this build.

It has been a bit of hit and miss this year. Don't want to repeat what other people have said but the lack of any historical themes has been a little sad. Although on the other hand my budget for Lego got chopped to a quarter of what it was so at least I'm not going crazy over sets I can't have. GB HQ and the Disney castle are both great sets but I could never quantify spending that much on a "toy" for me, and the lack of sets I'm interested in pushed me to try out Bricklink and I'm happy with how that turned out. So everything kinda evens out at the end of the day.

I really like what you have done. The builds are good and so is the editing. Just the grammar makes it lose a bit of shine and the speech bubbles do get in the way a bit. Other people seemed to have mentioned good tips for builds that might help with the length of time needed. If I were to do this (hopefully one day) I would probably build a few "set" pieces like in the film industry. Good luck with the rest of the project, I hope to read more soon.

I have no idea. Probably my parents but I was way too young to remember for sure.

What is the best surface to build on?
legoguy1984 replied to SevenStuds's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I'm trying to build on baseplates stuck onto a table but honestly don't think it works as well as I was hoping. The studs do help to stop pieces moving around though. -
Misprints and Other LEGO Production Oddities

I think it's when the first brick patent was applied for. But could also be the minifigure patent date. For the BTTF set.
