    Account Summary

@Phred Minor issue, but important for the next MCRA: the trade values for Granoleon and Belson seem broken. I'm assuming they are the same as for Terreli, but could you please 'repair' them? Thanks

The Empire of Oleon: Sign-up and Discussion

Oh, CD, come on, join the trash talk roast ... and what's that ad you're talking about... I'm kinda intrigued

Really? Only a sith deals in absolutes. You must absolutely know what you're talking about There goes the last bit of 'republican' decency

    [ESL - ship] Esprit Fortune

She popped up on page one again - finally, I'm so lazy in searching LS, this is a marvelous vessel - yet again you did a great job on the lines. Not to mention the colors Kudos on the fins used as decorative element. But you went for a two-studs wide keel again... grrr... I have a hard time deciding whether this one or the Cardinal is my favorite... Also, great job on all the crew you've added... except for that one obviously lazy fellow with the mug full of rum Keep it up - which you surely will

The Empire of Oleon: Sign-up and Discussion

At least both our systems clearly stand for one thing - Oleon is all about class, Eslandola is all about money... but Corrington is halfway Sea-Rats - a bit libertarian, but please, not too much, we get scared, so let's better still have a ruling queen. Make up your mind! *laughs in totalitarianism* ... wait, what?

Not a word of denial - come on, you could at least try to hide the true political intentions of your financial syndicate Instead, distraction: Oh no, this would only interrupt you counting DBs... plus, time is even more money... not sure I'm ready to take the blame for you loosing all those DB

The council is nothing more than a vehicle for the TCs to tighten their grip around the neck of the Eslandian people. The fact that so many of you actually believe the 'republican' propaganda just proves how delightedly all greenies are kissing TC butts by now. For doubloons - Bravo! His utter incompetence and ridiculous politics aside, at least your green king had the courage to stand up to them and oppose their scheming. Self-proclaimed? You must have clearly forgotten that Mardier has aaaaalways been and will always be the one and only super-duper power here? All hail our yellow mega overlords!

Don't forget that we're also heavily funding the Marderian war efforts with cash, troops and ships - because green is better split up in yellow and blue
  10. Funny you guys should talk about ships from that era
  11. There's nothing in the rules hinting at such a mechanic, and it wouldn't make sense, as you said. So IMO, that's a no, the fortress does not 'participate' in the blockade. But better address @SkaForHire to have certainty here.

The Empire of Oleon: Sign-up and Discussion

For his continued outstanding services for the Crown of Oleon, especially for his efforts to protect the Empire at sea, I - King Philip the First, by the Grace of the Gods, King of Oleon and Guelph, Protector of New Terra, the True Defender of the Faith and so forth - hereby dub the honorable Captain De Truguet Knight of the Realm. From this day on Seigneur De Truguet may present the following crest as his personal coat-of-arms: Granoleon, Mar. 5th. 617AE
  14. I'd like to see this blockade explained, too. Did this apply to all factions? If cb4's Nemesis was indeed prevented to enter ESL harbors, it suggests MAR did some serious - and unannounced - world policing.
  15. @Bregir Stunning looking ship - smooth lines - yeah! Great work on 'tying down' the bowsprit. I only think your (well, the ship's) mizzen mast is a bit too tall. Oh, I hope you manage to capture that same light effect again when you do the final shots - it looks kinda majestic. @Captain Genaro Great looking brig, love how you angled the deck @Maxim I Niiiice! Just... are you going Sea Rats? @Legostone Is that plan from a fantasy ship of some sort? Those lines look awkwardly exaggerated. And those quarterdeck's gun-ports make my head spin around, especially in relation to the (side)galleries
  16. Asking the real questions here... Well, I hope we can make sure it won't be too much off schedule. If that's not possible/wanted, there might be another option. I'll text you.

The Empire of Oleon: Sign-up and Discussion

Welcome to Oleon and BoBS, KotZ Great choice of imperial color - the seas are blue after all. Nice to see your adventurous entourage ready to contribute to Oleon's glory Quick LDD-tip: if you first place the head on a torso, and only then the scabbard, you'll avoid this 'long neck' effect. May the Gods bless all your voyages!
  18. Ahoy! Without long introduction, let's get right to it: Pioneers at Home Providing affordable, clean housing for their workers and families is one of the top priorities on the RNTC's development plan for Lavalette. Because a content worker is a productive worker. Therefore, simple but solid, standardized residences with enough separate space for two families are being built en masse, offering a new beginning - a new home for the pioneers working for the company. As you can see, after a long day of work on the plantations that are starting to pop up around the city, even a new home far away from their old lives is a home worth enjoying to return to. About: Well, it's a simple house, and it is meant to be just that. The design is something I'll try to recreate in future Lavalette builds. Nothing else to say - move along! Thanks for watching anyway, C&C welcome! Vive le Roi!
  19. Hello, fellow land-lubbers and spice enthusiasts, one last build for the month, still in time! New Spices for the Old World After the huge commercial success following the introduction of peppercorn to the Île de Zeus - and its echo in the Old World - the RNTC has decided to use the prime agricultural conditions of Stéphanique to turn this relatively new spice into a cash crop. Here you can see workers bringing in the first of three possible harvests of the year. The fruits are collected at different stages of ripeness, in order to produce differing final products. Also, some part of the harvest will be transported back to the facilities in Lavalette by land, while the other part will be sent down the river in barrels, drenched in water, as a base for yet more varying products. The officials of the RNTC are confident that the demand for pepper in the Old World will skyrocket - and flush gigantic amounts of cash into the company's treasury. Plans for the massive expansion of the peppercorn business in Lavalette are on their way. About: This one... took a while. It's my first big time attempt at depicting vegetation, and all these silly little bits of green and grey had to be placed one after the other... I wanted to show a plantation that's been 'cut' into the jungle, as Lavalette is still in an early stage of its development, I thought this would fit better than simply to show a field full of peppercorn plants. And I'm quite content with the result. The only thing I have issues with is the rendered water here - two layers of transparent plates and tiles... but the result is rather boring. Hmm... next time I have to try something else, maybe something with less of a regular pattern. Oh, and the palm leafs are attached with clips to this part here. Thanks for watching, C&C as always welcome Vive le Roi!

    The Beginning of the End

First, Father Leon 'unfortunately' passed away, and now this... Huuuh, the suspense is kiln me! Great build, CG, love all the details here, and the light really adds to the atmosphere, too - a reason more your Veleianders are sweating so much. Now, have the manager file that paperwork correctly, those two and three fifths DB compensated by the company, and then get those workers back on track - Lavalette needs bricks!

    [COR-FB] Captured War Galley "Carnage"

Row, row, row your boat... Finally a vessel that doesn't steal all the wind, so there's more left for the faster ships Neat - you finished her! Looking decent, although I'm not the biggest fan of those quarter round plates at the bow, but then, she's an experiment. Now, build a larger one! Just one thing: after half the journey I'd have your crew change sides - they are only rowing with one hand
  22. Lovely prospecting scene, Mike The flowing water effect is my favorite, but that sieve on the bucket - great detail! Just... your 'prospecteers' seem in such a bad mood. Don't let mathematical odds of striking wealth bring them down - have a little faith

    [OL - FB] The 'Pélican'

Ahoy, laddies! Presenting a hull experiment that went ship: The 'Pélican' The Pélican is one of many barges afloat in New Terra. A true workhorse - but not more. This type of ship isn't a glorious one, barely anyone remembers them once they've delivered their cargo. But without them, large parts of the thriving economy would simply brake down. Transport barges are the backbone of both inner and inter-island cargo supply, as their shallow draught permits them to travel on rivers, too. Time for a small spotlight on this sailing barge here, carrying timber from Eltina to Breshaun. And a comparison shot I haven't done in a long time: ... still larger than the IFS About: A while ago I was fiddling around with 1x4 curved slopes and flextubes, to create a hull. It didn't result in something I liked, I got bored, so I kicked it. Well, now I was in need of a medium transport ship, so I dug up the idea, and after some more fiddling around it worked out - et voilà - sailing barge. It's buildable, and should even be swooshable. I put some more effort into the rigging, to test out something new, and because otherwise this would just be a boring floating hull For now Pélican will be licensed as... yes, you've guessed correctly... a barge. But I think there's some margin here justifying a higher rating later on. Thanks for watching, C&C as always welcome Vive le Roi!

[COR-FB] Temple of Poseidon, King's Harbour

Ah, some love for the Faith The temple turned out pretty nice. Simple as necessary to fit an early colonial settlement, yet elegant enough to be a beacon of spiritual guidance for those in need. Wonderful. I really like your depiction of all three major Gods (and Zeus' golden crown), and the priests (of Poseidon) look just right for the social purpose they are fulfilling. Thanks for showing that the Faith is an all-Hallosian institution.

[SR-MRCA] Long John Bronze (4A) Capture

I just love your way of story telling - minimalistic, but super effective - and fun! Oh, and the ship is nice, too. If you want to improve some things, stick to what LS said
