  1. Thanks guys. About the video, I still am uncertain on how to post it to my website. If I do figure it out then I plan to make a short video.
  2. That's awesome! Stay warm too!
  3. I've finally finished. So, overall it has 2 rechargeable battery boxes, 2 V2 IR receivers, 2 L motors, 1 servo motor, and 1 pair of LED's for the roof lights. I have already taken it outside in the snow (after pictures) and it has good traction, torque, and goes a little bit faster than walking speed. More information will be on my website shortly.
  4. Looks great, but are you going to change up the color scheme in the second generation? It just seems a bit mixed up, especially the yellow-greenish lights with a red piece at the front. Can't wait to see the improved version.
  5. Looks fun to drive! It can practically pop a wheelie.
  6. I see what you mean, but I literally meant that I need to reinforce the driveshaft after the differential because it is a bit loose. As for the front suspension I might take more pictures, but it will probably be with a changed setup. Just to make it simpler and stronger hopefully. Thanks
  7. I love the combination of red and grey. It seems it works great, but could make a video where it's actually moving, not just pictures of it doing something. Great Job!
  8. More Progress: First version chassis This version has many flaws, such as a loose rear axle, the caster or camber angle ( I don't know which one it is ) is messing up the steering, and the servo is able to pull the A-arms off because of the steering situation. There has been some improvements, I gave it an internal roll bar sort of thing to help support the chassis.
  9. I don't really know any realistic front axles. Are you using diff's or not? I think you could make it more realistic without diff's and use lots of linkages, axles, and connectors to get a tubular look, similar to real 4x4s. By the way, do you have any pictures of what you have so far? Good Luck!
  10. I do have an rc buggy motor, but I don't think it would be very efficient. As you could have guessed it's going to be using Unimog tires, so I think just one would be a bit weak. I'm hoping that the big tires will give decent speed, with great torque.
  11. I also have big plans for 2014. Including: Large Scania model, fully remote control. Large Rally Car with complex suspension system. Large Supercar, possibly with a realistic gearbox. Large Trophy Truck, built to test performance and possibly modular building. Large Construction vehicle ( still uncertain ) I also plan to participate in as many contests as possible this year. Also improve my website: http://legotechnicun....wordpress.com/ I forgot to add that all models will be remote control.
  12. I don't have this set, but I think yours is a lot better, both performing and looking. Great job!
  13. That's pretty cool. I love seeing the inner workings of MOCs. Keep up the great work.
  14. This is what I'm making for the January-February Air theme. It is essentially a biplane, but I might add or take away certain things to make it unique. Here is what I have so far. I have come across a bit of a problem with the landing gear. I did not realize that the setup I was going to use with two mini linear actuators(front/back) doesn't work. They end up going in opposite directions. I may try changing the direction of the gears or using a worm gear solution. Also the gearbox in the cockpit will control the landing gear and hopefully the rudder. I would appreciate any suggestions.
  15. I agree. The tail section is a bit to wide and wings are slightly too small. I don't think I'll change it though, because it would take quite a bit of time and I want to start a big new project soon.
  16. This is the final product: It has working landing gear and rear elevators. I am some what satisfied with the result, except for the cockpit, but this is my first plane.
  17. I'm also fine without prizes. I think it will lead to more creative MOC's if you are just participating for the experience, instead of, for prizes. Also when do you think the big contest will be, I'm already planning for it.
  18. Looks really cool. Check out my JFAIR WIP plane here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=91075
  19. More Progress: I have finally figured out how to construct the front landing gear, and I couldn't believe how easy the mechanism could have been. All I had to do was put gears in the linear actuator space, instead of u-joint. I have pretty much finished the wings as well.
  20. Thanks, I have been working on it all day! I'm still working on the landing gear though, probably won't be done until later tonight or tomorrow.
  21. More Progress: Still working on the front landing gear.
  22. Thank you for all your help. I have made more progress and I have to say, I don't think it's a biplane anymore. I kind of got carried away with the design and here's what I have done. As you may have noticed, I've changed the color scheme, gave it elevators (I guess), and added a lot of bodywork! I think now I'll go for a streamlined jet kind of look, no name or brand in mind, just generic.
  23. It looks really cool. Great performance! Good thing you kept the third party bucket, it works amazingly.
  24. I think that will work. Also instead of a rudder, I'm making rear ailerons. Which do you think will work best a worm gear and some kind of lever or just another mini linear actuator. Thanks.
