midi scale star destroyer and blizzard's peak for $35 at kmart now. finally got my star destroyer, and I got a couple of blizzard's peaks for kmart wishing tree appeal later this year.

I noticed at kmart Marion (Adelaide) that the Midi-Scale Imperial Star Destroyer is finally marked for clearance, but is still going for $59 I've been eyeing it since it was released, but I cannot justify forking out $60 for it. So if any of you happen to pop by kmart in the coming days, it'd be great if you could keep half and eye on the destroyer (and perhaps scan it, even) and share the good news here if it drops in price.

I have to admit I went back to Myer TTP (Adelaide) this morning and picked up the last Fire Brigade I could see, so you may wanna call them up and check if they have more before going up there. That said, they still have a bunch of underwater HQs, slave Is and turbo tanks.

I might follow your lead on this one Oh, and I also saw the Rise of the Sphinx is $90 rrp is australia, so that's a real bargain. Good job I know, it's almost insane, the sets are pretty much half price (which is close to what they should be in the first place, IMO). I couldn't get out of work quick enough when my wife called me to let me know about the 30 % off earlier today, and my eyes nearly popped out of my head when I saw it for myself. I'm gonna have to go back there tomorrow, me thinks. Hopefully the 30 % off is still on.

I should also add that the Slave I and Turbo Tank were on clearance as well, and with the additional 30 % off they clocked in at ~$76 and ~$125, respectively.

Wow. I read the description at the start of the post, but didn't expect to actually see the other side of the wall. Then I scrolled down and the photo came up and I was stunned! While the scene only shows a small portion of the wall and the land it divides, it conveys so much story. I feel it's really a case of a few picture being worth thousands of words And the SNOT technique used on the walls is great! Fantastic work, Dan, two thumbs up :thumbup: Question: before building a MOC like this, do you make sketches or something, or do you start out with a (clear?) idea and just start building and see where it takes you?

Not sure what the situation is in other places, but Myer TTP (Adelaide) has had a few of the old large Atlantis sets, some Toy Story sets and the Fire Brigade on clearance for the last few days. Today they also had 30 % off already reduced toys, resulting in the following bargains: Neptune Carrier: ~$40 Atlantis Exploration HQ: ~$40 Fire Brigade: ~$160 The 30 % off sign didn't say "1 day only", so it may be continuing throughout the weekend. Edit: I should add that they only had one Fire Brigade left when I was there this afternoon.

Great scene, TazManiac! I love the maracas for eyes on the idol, it looks like some freaky horror version of Krusty the Clown. I also like the detail of the islander sharpening his knives in preparation of the great meal ahead. And the drum is nicely done too. How did you make it stand upright? Is it just balancing between the studs on the base plate?

New Atlantis sets (all except temple, I believe) spotted at Target Adelaide CBD. Had to get the angler fish.

Not sure, but the 15 % off seems to have been on for the last 4 months or so. I even saw ads for the sale on TV on the weekend :-)

Just to follow up, the sale also applies to toyworld at parafield and harbour town (and one more location I believe). toyworld tend to have some older sets that no-one else has anymore, so it might be well worth a visit if you're into that stuff. personally i picked up a castle set and a few train tracks from parafield.

Does anyone know if the tantive dropped in price again? I can't see any in my local Kmarts anymore.
