Any news on the exclusive REBELS set featuring Ahsoka Tano?

    Future Star Wars Sets

I'd love a "Confrontation on Mallachor" set or something like that. Not for the build, but for the epic minifigure lineup (just imagine the number of lightsabers in such a set... ): Ahsoka Tano (determined face/sad face) - two clear-bladed lightsabers Darth Vader (with slashed-open mask, new face print with eyebrows and hateful expression) - red-bladed lightsaber Kanaan Jarrus (with Temple Guard helmet) - blue-bladed lightsaber Ezra Bridger (curious face/angry face with yellow-red 'dark-side-eyes') - blue-bladed lightsaber Maul - red-bladed lightsaber Chopper Seventh Sister - dual red-bladed inquisitor lightsaber Fifth Brother - dual red-bladed inquisitor lightsaber that other new Inquisitor - dual red-bladed inquisitor lightsaber Will never happen, but one can dream... or MOC this!

That'd be great, but then, a hateful expression would be more appropriate than an angry one in reference to that important scene, as subtle as the difference might be. In the end, it'll not make that much of a difference, unless LEGO would provide us with a Vader mask/helmet slashed open to reveal his right eye - something which I'll definitely customize for a "Fall of a Friendship"-MOC with the pyramid as a centrepiece I've already planned and began to sketch-build. All I need now are those minifigs still missing: Ahsoka, Vader with slashed-open mask, the three Inquisitors. It'd be great if instead of the standard happy face/determined face combination we'd get a determined face/sad face for the REBELS version of Ahsoka, since both would encapsulate her arc in the show perfectly.

LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors

I'm sorry to put it so bluntly, but you are plain wrong. On both accounts - the colouring and the Kanaan set. I dare you to check the facts. The Kanaan set is NOT based on the show's first episode. His personal bike was revealed in the second half of the first season, as was Sabine's. Second, I urge you to do the following: In the final third of season 1, episode 12 or 13, you get a scene with Tarkin and Kallus at the communications tower - at sunrise or sunset. I guess we can agree that Kallus' uniform is grey in neutral white lighting, right? Now take a look at the mentioned scene: When standing next to each other in that yellow-orange light, it is obvious that Tarkin's uniform does have a dark tan colour when compared to Kallus' uniform. If anything, the colour should be a slightly darker tan, but certainly not a grey. This is arguing from facts. I normally don't like to argue from authority, but I've done quite my share of creating, animating, texturing and lighting 3d character models, and this case seems pretty clear-cut to my eyes.

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here

Phone them. You need the instructions manual because they might ask you for a number printed somewhere on the last page. I once bought the CTT on the aftermarket, and the Aayla Secura torso had a tiny misprint. I phoned them and they sent me a perfect one, no problem.

I'm also waiting for it. As far as I understand, the set could be included in the summer wave, but hasn't been unveiled, yet, because it is an exclusive. I could be wrong, though - in that case, please someone correct me. A release in sept/oct could also be plausible, because that would be shortly before or around the time REBELS season 3 starts. We know nothing substantial, yet, other than that it is an exclusive set, possibly a lackluster one, including Ahsoka - in the latter case as a selling point.

    [MOC] Ezra's Speeder Bike / 614 AvA

Since I got Set 75090 for the Sabine Wren Minifig, I decided to build the speeder bikes from that set today. The models are good, but once I checked the Star Wars: Rebels Visual Guide I realized that they were far too large for the minifigs. So I set out to build my own version of this vehicle and make it smaller so that it is closer to minifig-scale. Here's what I've come up with: And here's what my own version of Set 75090 looks like: I hope you like it.

As long as we don't know anything to the contrary, I'd say it'd be much more likely they will make a new mold. The Shaak Ti-mold has the montrals shaped very differently to Ahsoka's, and the lekku are longer than adult Ahsoka's from REBELS. As for using the Clone Wars mold: This would be even more wrong. The montrals are not even remotely pronounced enough, and the lekku way too short. This was used for the teenage Ahsoka. Also, the tiara molded on the Clone Wars head piece is completely different in design to what adult Ahsoka is wearing in REBELS. This is, for the time being, the last chance we get an adult REBELS-version of Ahsoka, and this is the chance for Lego to produce a stunning minifig-version of a beloved character - my single most-anticipated minifig since I came out of my dark ages. If they drop the ball on this, I'd be very, very disappointed. So, unless anyone can actually provide actual evidence in the form of pics, not just prelims, can people please stop bullshitting us with ambiguous, uninformed or ignorant claims as to how this minifig will turn out - that'd be much appreciated.

LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors

An adult Ahsoka without a new head piece would be a stupid move. Her lekku are recognizably shorter than Shaak Ti's, and her montrals - the horn-like head extensions - have a significantly different shape: In Shaak Ti's case they curve inward in an s-shape, wheras Ahsoka's curve slightly outwards, which gives her a more badass look. So I'm confident that they'll make a new headpiece, because otherwise this would be a pitchforks-and-torches-worthy disappointment.

    TIE Advanced: Proportions

I can sympathize with Fluppylodders' sentiment to some extend. I'm also a sucker for correct proportions and angles in a model, but when it comes to LEGO, a clean build that captures the spirit of a vehicle is superior to a super-accurate but clunky build in my opinion. And because I'm cruel, I'll throw another important thing to consider into this discussion: The set you're discussing is representing a depiction of a vehicle in the animated REBELS show. It is easy to miss, I know, but in this animated show - like in the Clone Wars show before - characters and vehicles have a certain, slightly exaggerated style to them. This is done for artistic reasons, and I quite like the art design and modelling in the REBELS show. For example, the characters have slightly bigger eyes, slightly larger heads in proportion to their bodies, and exaggerated statures. Their faces are also a bit more expressive than a real face is. In that vein, the proportions of vehicles can also be slightly exaggerated in order to maintain a consistent style. And it just occured to me that a LEGO minifigure actually is very inaccurate when it comes to proportions and detail, can you believe that? So, if you compare the proportions of this particular TIE Advanced to anything, please do compare it to the vehicle as depicted in the show, not in the movies! Go!

[VIDEO] Assault on Hoth - Review 75098

Danke für das Video, Zusammengebaut! I have one question that I have to ask: Does the instruction manual include a page with all minifigures of the Star Wars wave, and if yes, is the REBELS-version of Ahsoka Tano or possibly the Seventh Sister from the REBELS show included? If that's the case, you might not be allowed to post a picture, yet, but a description would be appreciated. I like your videos, and I have a suggestion for improving the visual quality of your videos. As they are now, the lighting is a bit dark and greyish. This might not be due to your lighting scheme, but to your camera settings. Use the white-balance option of your camera - it should be included with any decent-quality camera nowadays. It mostly works like this: Choose the white-balance option in the menu, then focus the camera on the white background you use in your videos, and the camera should automatically adjust the image recorded so that the chosen background appears almost a bright white. At the end of the day, this is just a suggestion - these are your videos after all, and if you prefer them how they are now, that's fine. Keep up the good work.

    Future Star Wars Minifigs

Sex in STAR WARS? Now that's a topic - maybe the moderators should extract the discussion into its own thread... Let me chime in, though! Regarding Jabba always having an attractive female slave, I'd say that this is not even implicitly overly sexual in nature. I mean, look at a Hutt, and then look at an anthropomorphic female like Oola or Leia - it doesn't even remotely appear like they are biologically and anatomically compatible, if you know what I mean... I guess they have their female slaves more as a sign of their dominance and status. But then, fortunately, STAR WARS isn't as sanitized as the Prequels tried so hard to make it with their portrayal of an overly naive, asexual 'romance' between Anakin and Padmé. In the Clone Wars we learn that Obi Wan once was in love, we see Ahsoka getting the hots for Lux, we get to know a courageous clone deserter who fathered children with a Twi'lek female. In Rebels, it's pretty obvious that Kanaan and Hera have a thing going on, and in the Original Trilogy we have Leia kissing her brother, and then Han, and also: Han shoots first - or isn't he? Gee, I never got why STAR WARS should have been so devoid of romance and sexual attraction, why the Jedi should be completely emotionless and without even a hint of a drive - how do they get through puberty with raging hormones? But fortunately, writers like Filoni show us that the Jedi actually are also creatures of flesh and blood, as exemplified by what they hinted at with Obi Wan and showed us even more explicitly with Ahsoka, and not just those aloof, empty and boring dudes for which they are portrayed in the Prequels. And back to topic: My most wanted character is adult Ahsoka from Rebels, plus I'd like to get a Vader with his helmet and mask slashed open to go with her. The former we will get this year, I recon, the latter propably never...

    [MOC] Rey's Speeder

When I first went to see Star Wars Episode 7 on opening night, I've been very sceptical. I've seen Star Wars - The Force Awakens three times now. I love this movie, because right off the bat it delivers what makes Star Wars so great: Likeable and interesting characters, both heroes and villains that are fascinating, and a story that is driven by characters taking action and not endless, boring expositional dialogue. Discounting the Star Wars TV-experience with The Clone Wars and Rebels animated series, both of which feature likeable characters and some well-written stories and arcs, Episode 7 was the first cinema-experience that truly felt like Star Wars since the not yet special-editioned Return of the Jedi. I personally rank Episode 7 at number 3, right after A New Hope and Empire, because it was a lot more character-driven than Return of the Jedi, had banter like Empire and was fast-paced without being annoying. Rey and Kylo Ren are my favorite aspects of the whole movie - both are well-written and the acting delivers greatly. One of my favorite vehicles in the movie is Rey's Speeder. It doesn't have the legacy of a Millenium Falcon, the notoriety of TIE fighters, nor is it an icon like the X-wings, but it is a nicely designed vehicle that perfectly fits Rey as a character. It is like a huge jet-intake and fuel chamber feeding two vertically-mounted jets, and you sit on it like on a powerful bike, not like in a car as with Luke's speeder in a New Hope. I've seen quite a lot of MOCs of this vehicle already, but none of them quite spoke to me, so this was an opportunity to have a go at my own. As anyone who knows my MOCs, while I have build some rather huge and mid-sized Star Wars Vehicles of all varieties, I do have a soft spot for speeders. What I was trying to achieve with this MOC was the narrow sleek shape of Rey's Speeder, the characteristic intake and have Rey in a riding position on it, not in a sitting position. I am quite pleased with the result, and I hope you like it too. As always, constructive criticism and comments are welcome. Now that Episode 7 has rekindled my interest in Lego Star Wars, you can bet more MOCs will come in the near future.

[MOC] The GHOST from Star Wars: Rebels

I have dismantled this MOC and I am currently in the prozess of sorting and organizing my pieces because I want to build a larger version of the GHOST based on building techniques of this MOC and some new techniques I've sketch-built to test stability etc. The build itself will propably take quarter to half a year, and definately feature more interior, and I'll post WIPS and updates exclusively here!

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here

I have a little question, please excuse my ignorance, but I never bothered with this particular issue: Is a "store exclusive" set also available from lego directly, i.e. via lego shop@home or a brick and mortar store? Thanx!

LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors

Is the set list we got for this summer's Star Wars wave complete? If I'm not mistaken someone reliable told us we'd get an adult REBELS-version of Ahsoka Tano this year...? Well, if not, I'll get some pitchforks and torches instead.

    Full Size BB-8

This is great! BB-8 is so adorble. Say, how many pieces does this build use?
  18. First of all a shout-out to Delta62, who built and posted an impressive Imperial Troop Transport before I did. To complete my MOCs of iconic ground vehicles from the Star Wars Rebels show, I've finished my minifig-scale version of the Imperial Troop Transport. It is sturdy, and for accuracy in shapes, proportions and details I used the Star Wars Rebels Visual Guide as a reference once again. Here's the model: Here's the vehicle with all doors and hatches on one side opened: The whole top can be pulled off easily to gain acceess to the inside. As you can see, there's a lot of space to transport goods, weapons or troops, as well as a seperate and detailed cockpit section that can hold a driver, an officer and three more passengers. I textured the middle-section of the top so that a few studs are exposed on which cargo boxes holding meilooran-fruits and other luxuries can be attached: Enjoy!

[MOC]s - Star Wars REBELS Vehicles and other Creations

Thanks for posting, goatman461, your minifig-scale Phantom is fabulous, and the display is the icing on the cake. I have disassembled the Gozanti-Class Cruiser, ITT and AT-DP since I'm currently building a Millennium Falcon (Episode VII) at almost minifig-scale, taking a lot of cues from Kit Brickstos great WIP build over at Imperium der Steine (look at Kit Brickstos WIP model here: http://www.imperiumd...m-falcon/page-5 ), and from the Falcon WIP Mike Psiaki posted on his flickr-account quite a while ago, all the while incorporating my own ideas and alternate building techniques especially for the sturdy inner structure (I'm building this from the inside-out) and due to part availability. As for REBELS, I still love the show and I'm sure I'll get to building new stuff once the adult Ahsoka Tano minifig for this subtheme is in my possession. I'd love to try my hand at some scenes and dioramas, and Ahsoka will be a good excuse for doing that.

    Future Star Wars Minifigs

I'd also like to see an old Luke from The Force Awakens, plus Rey, Poe, Han and Leia in alternate outfits, but I'm sure we will get those in the nearer future. A minifig I'd wanted to see for quite some time now is the adult Rebels version of Ahsoka Tano, and I'm pretty excited about the fact that we will get her this year!

    MOC: Star Wars Ship costumes

These builds are great, I love them! Made me chuckle on this rainy morning. You need to come up with something for Darth Maul, Darth Vader and the Emperor, because theser things look the most hilarious on the bad guys! Edit: Oh, I see you already made one for Vader, how could I miss that!

LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors

I lost touch with the latest rumours, so if my question has already been adressed elsewhere: May apologies and thanks in advance for an answer: Is anything more substantial known or rumoured than a mere wishful thinking about us getting an adult Rebls version of Ahsoka Tano in the near future? I'm really looking forward to a minifig version of that character.
  24. DarthTwoShedsJackson

    [MOC] BB8 mid-size (and friends)

I love these droids! The characters are the most important aspect of Star Wars, or of any good story for that matter. Without cool characters, all the amazing vehicles and spectacle would be empty (literally) and pointless, so I'm always happy if someone brings the characters to life in Lego form, be it through dioramas and scenes, or brick-built versions like yours. I wish you good luck with Lego Ideas, but to be honest, anything Star Wars had been passed over on Ideas irrespective of huge support. I hope, you will be the exception to this rule.

[MOC] Millennium Falcon - Still the coolest spaceship!

I've already admired this great build elsewhere in the www - lovely model. Examining it closer, I noticed that you took your cues for some elements from the Falcon Mike Psiaki started to build but propably never finished, like the wide flat cylinder-shapes on the top and bottom center of the main hull on which the main guns are mounted, or the build for the elements to both sides of the central axis that lead to the docking rings. I'd have used these, too. I only wished that the equatorial section sandwiched in-between the upper and lower hull plating would be narrower, maybe 3 studs wide instead of the 4 studs you used. That's high-end criticism, though, because your model still is top notch!
