    New horizons.....

Really impressive advance in your naval construction . Definitely, I will need more cannons... How have you done for improve an small frigate into a ship of the line in so relatively little time? I need months only to get my first hull parts (via exchange in other forum) and convert my old ugly brig into a little corvette ... Commodore Ariel.

    My lego ship collection

Really an impressive fleet; considering that I only have two ships... My favourite, obviously, the british one . Greetings.

    WIP frigate HMS Vendetta

Really nice ship, I love this colour scheme. The solution for the stern ir really interesting...I will have it in mind in the future... Greetings, Commodore Ariel.

    Full-hull French Frigate (WIP)

Really impressive :pir-oh: !!! The structure seems perfect, the gallery is beautiful, and the mast are promissing . Hope to see more soon . Greetings from Spain, Commodore A. Brickson

    HMS Enterprize

Really lovely ship . At least I see another british warship with this colour scheme, I thought that mine was the last. I will remember well were this topic is... in case that in the future I can build a frigate... **sigh** Greetings, Commodore Ariel.

    Eclipse

This frigate is improving moment after moment. The new bow it's really cool. I don't know if I say this before, but I love the helm... Friendly, Commodore Ariel.

    WIP: hornet

It's a good start; I hope to see more progress soon. May I ask under what flag will sail this ship? Greetings, Commodore Ariel.

    Macaw fortress

Fascinating, thanks for answer. I have to revise many sets... Greetings from Spain, Commodore Ariel.
  9. For when a new Pirates theme???

    Macaw fortress

Nice bluecoat fortress. I have to ask... from where you have taken that spiral stair?? (or how you have done it?) It looks really fine. Friendly from Spain, Commodore Ariel.

    Another ship

Cool ship, I think that it's relatively easy to improve it (at least in theory): a more narrow bow, more length, and perhaps a second mast (I don't know how much parts you have to do such things, I only say it)... Can we know the name? Friendly, Commodore Ariel.

    Eclipse

I don't know how; one time I see the page and my face was something like *huh* . And it's also the problem that it's in dollars, while my currency is the €... Anyway, thanks for the advice. Greetings.

    HMS Defiant, 12 guns-brig

Well, even if isn't 100% complete; I decided to present my flagship today and now. My stock limitation was a permanent problem, but I think that I solved it with my humble methods... First of all, a few pics without crew, to see the details... The bow, notice the owl as figurehead and the bell: Now onboard, the capstan; functional but really fragile... The gun deck, clear and ready for action, with it's 8 guns: The quarterdeck, with the helm, 4 carronades and a small place for the commander to examine maps etc... The masts, the weakness of all my ships, not so pretty as the rest of the ship (probably when I put the sails will be better): Returning to the bow, the anchor, one of my favourite parts, because it's totally improvised: And now, the ship with the crew: The Commodore (myself), examining the map... At the stern, the row boat: "DING-DING, DING-DING, DING!!" _Sail ho! _Full broadside...! _...FIRE! For finish; the HMS Defiant sailing with my other ship (builded just yesterday and finished today), a bombardment ketch provisionally named as HMS Thunderer: That it's all, I hope you liked it. (The HMS Thunderer will be presented soon, but I will wait some days because I usually moddify my ships a bit every day a few days after it's construction (or a few weeks, in the case of the HMS Defiant...). Comments and critics are welcome. Greetings from Spain, Commodore Ariel Brickson.

[MOCPages Find] Randolph Rosenbacher's HMS Victory

A really impressive ship . The stern it's a bit disproportionated in my opinion; but I'm sure that this it's the best that one can reach at this scale... Greetings, Commodore Ariel.

    HMS Defiant, 12 guns-brig

Thanks for comments. @ManInATopHat: fortunately, I have enought yellow bricks to make this colour scheme and repeat it in two different ships (and I think that I have enought for a third one if I make something really small like a sloop), but unfortunately, I don't have enought black bricks and bases... @Sebeus I: I also think that the anchor it's perfect for this ship, but by the moment I can only make one, at least in this colours... About the shots; it's true that I don't have parts to make it in Lego, but anyway, I prefer to make them in cotton, it's more realistic; even if this is the first time that I use this trick in Lego (I used it before in Playmobil and Tente (another build toy native from Spain) so many times that I adquired some experience in using it, and it's also a distinctive part of my works... with other special trick). @Captain Golden Hook: I considered to put a gaff sail in the main mast, (in fact, in the first moments, there was one, but was too fragile and I had to make the mast higher); but with the actual mast I don't know how to make it; there is no place were I can put the sprit... but I'm still working on it... In fact I considered to put a tiller in a first moment, but it will make more difficult to put the row boat... Friendly from Spain, Commodore Ariel Brickson.

Unfortunately, I don't have any original Lego ship; at the begining, I will make the sails in paper; because the ships are changing nearly every day... I hope to post my flagship soon... Greetings.

    Eclipse

I hope to see your entire fleet one day (because I know that you have a redcoat ship)... My own flagship needs sails, but I'm thinking in present it today or tomorrow... becasue in this time I was capable of build two more ships (smaller and not so detailed, but...); so now I have two ships for my fleet and one ship as enemy. Friendly, Commodore Ariel.

    Starting with the avatar

Thanks for comments . @Captain Becker: The Union Jack it's from... Playmobil; I'm also fan of Playmobil (long story between Lego and Playmobil, when both toys atracted me with divers themes, but I only can buy in special or lucky moments and Lego cancelled the Pirates theme (the only one that I like it) when I have those moments, so Lego lost the opportunity and now I'm waiting a new theme, now that I achieve build ships...meanwhile, I have an impressive Playmobil collection (impressive for my adquisition capacity being poor, but it's other long story with my mental configuration as Aspie)). @Captain Golden Hook: Nice ship, and nice officer also, I ever dream with have this minifig... (and the Imperial Flagship ). Even if I'm redcoat fan; I also have a few american rebels (as bluecoats), and a buch of pirates (the few that survive my military cam to gave sailors to my ship). Friendly, Commodore Ariel.

    Starting with the avatar

Well, while I fit the last details of my 12-guns brig (HMS Defiant) like the sails (a bit important part of a sailing ship...), I prepared an special photo to be my avatar when I can put it. It's a simple composition with my main character (it suppose to represent myself as commodore) and two redcoats. Here you have it to see it well; I hope you like it... And don't confound yourselves; even if my uniform is blue, I'm a redcoat fan . Soon I will present the ship; with or without sails... Friendly from Sapin, Commodore Ariel.
  20. Commodore Ariel Brickson

    I believe it's this way

Very nice scene; it remembers me that paiting of George Washington crossing the Delaware... but with redcoats . And good trick to put the row boat in that position... Friendly from Spain, Commodore Ariel.

    Eclipse

Very nice ship! At the moment, even if we entered the forum with only one day of difference; you now have a better starting than me... a frigate ! By the crew I must deduce that you are a pirate fan, I'm correct? Good name also . Friendly from Spain, Commodore Ariel Brickson.
  22. Commodore Ariel Brickson

    The Cannonball

Good MOC, even if this it's much bigger that the Caribbean Clipper, easily can be it's eldest brother... I'm looking forward to see that diorama that you mentioned . Friendly, Commodore Ariel.
  23. Commodore Ariel Brickson

    The bone collector

Very interesting and unusual ship . You really have a lot of bones. May I ask how do you did the stern? I'm referring to the officer's cabins and it's union with the main hull. Friendly, Commodore Ariel.

Arriving at this shores: new member from Spain

Hello everybody! My name here is Commodore Ariel Brickson; I'm a very young AFOL from Spain (I'm 18 years old only); I love Pirates-soldiers theme (for that reason I decide to make my introduction here), at least, all that I can with my humble collection (I think that it's the smallest in this forum), and my worse capacity to buy more (0). Even if I have to use bluecoat soldiers as officers (I only have 2 that a friend gave to me), consider me as a redcoat fan; at least for now. I hope that you enjoy my presence here as I enjoy stay here and see so many great creations and ships. As soon as possible, I will present my only ship (it's 100% MOC) that can be considered a warship; it's only a 12-guns brig but I love it... ...well, when I finish it again... Friendly from Spain, Commodore Ariel.
