I wish you hadn't said that . I was just getting interested in this pocket Falcon. If they do a Razor Crest on it before we even know it's actual proper name, I'm going to be a bit sad.

Fondor Haulcraft - where’s the MOCS?

Funny to be seeing this question. I was having the exact same thoughts earlier today. I started sketching the front of this ship at lunchtime and working out which parts to use for a minifig-scale version. I don't know how far I'll get but I'll probably have a go in Stud.io soon, see what I come up with. Like icm says, this ain't no N-1. I did a moc of that in a day. This might take a bit longer.
  4. This is a minifig-scale model of "The Phantom", the shuttle from the TV series "Star Wars Rebels". It's about a foot long and has a full interior, with working hatches at the rear and on the underside. I re-used the cockpit and nose from goatman461's excellent design, along with elements of the sides, roof and underside hatch: and I'm grateful for his kind permission to post this model. As usual, I've documented the build as an LXF file for my own reference, and I am linking the LXF file here in case anyone else feels like building this model. The LXF is nearly-but-not-quite correct. I can't place the roof (the angled pillars at the back prevent it from attaching) and the tyre with tread at the front of the engine should be an old smooth tyre (part no. 132) - something which does not appear to exist in LDD. Before someone asks: yes, I am pondering building the Ghost in scale with this shuttle. I estimate it would be quite large - 138 studs long, 1.1 metres, or the length of a stay in a local psychiatric hospital. Here are a couple of pictures. More can be found on the flickr album: Here are some photos of the Interior. First a shot from the front of the cockpit, showing Hera and Kanan, with the rest of the crew in the background (minus Chopper, who is in his droid socket on top of the ship). The belly hatch works, i.e. it opens and closes: There are eight seats in the back (realistically, seating for six, given the width of Lego figures): Once again, more photos can be found on the flickr album There is always room for improvement: If you have any suggestions, comments or criticisms, please feel free to leave them below. Edited 16th May: added interior photos.

[MOC] [LXF] Minifig-scale Phantom from Star Wars Rebels

That looks great! I like the way the modified wings look, and I am pleased to see it built. I hope you and your son have a lot of fun with it. I'll send you a PM with my email address

Life gets busy, doesn't it? Sorry to hear about the Covid, but glad to hear you're making progress. Take your time, get it right :-).

[MOC] [LXF] Minifig-scale Phantom from Star Wars Rebels

I would love a copy of the instructions once you're done with them - I can make them available to anyone else who wants to build this. Good luck with your build! I also have both a son and a cat (although my son at age 15 is no longer excited by Lego) so I appreciate the challenges of keeping things built.

[MOC] [LXF] Minifig-scale Phantom from Star Wars Rebels

Hey @monkypaws, so glad you like it! It's always good to receive feedback, and especially good to know that other people are enjoying the models I made. Credit where it's due: it's nice to be compared to a frickin' genius like Nick Trotta :-), but the idea for the cockpit came from @goatman461's Season 1 build. Looking at the photos again I realise that the section on the wings made up of 45 degree slopes could be redone with the Tile, Modified 2 x 2 Triangular, which hadn't come out when I made this originally. You'll need two in yellow and two in white, plus two 2x2 regular tiles and some plates for the underside. I'll leave the exact fix as an exercise for the reader.

    [MOC] Doctor Who - Daleks

That last one is lovely - the v2/v3 hybrid. I like what you did with the head - that's an ingenious technique, and it brilliant that you got the lights and the eyestalk in there.Changing the lower modified tile to black "sells" it. The proportions look good, and I do like the whisk - but I slightly prefer the gun/arm platform from v3.

    75192 - UCS Millennium Falcon 2017 MOD/MOC

Seconded. This has caught my attention. I really like the smoothness of the mandibles, and I think the curved dome is a great idea. I'd love to see more.

    Din’s New N1 Starfighter

Thanks @herrodanyo - that you want to build it is quite a compliment! Sadly, no: I don't have an instructions file, and I have no plans to make one. It's mainly based on @Inthert's model, sold by @BrickVault. I don't want to tread on the toes of either of those fine gentlemen. However, you can get very close if you build that model in grey and then keep modding. Most of what I did is pretty obvious, and I'm always willing to help with non obvious bits. As a starter for 10, the weirdest bits are: The bar of minifig hands on the leading edge of the wings is the sketchiest thing I've ever done in Lego, being just jammed in there and held on by friction. The pipes leading to the turbonic venturi power assimilator are also pretty suss, being some space blasters wedged under the curved slopes. There's a (genuine Lego) rubber band on the tail, and the cut away section on the right hand side uses cut old dark grey hoses. The stickers are from a "golden yellow" a4 vinyl sheet bought from eBay. It's a perfect match for Lego yellow :-).

That's a shame. It probably won't help much with accuracy of the front of the engines.

    Din’s New N1 Starfighter

Thank you for the kind words! I had a lot of fun & some frustration adding the details: I'm glad someone appreciated it :-). I did consider that part you linked but decided that making it curved was more important. I think the actual front is rounded enough to justify that. I agree that a 1 brick tall hollow cone would be best, as you describe: but I'd also like it slightly rounded - more of a dome than a cone. The new official set is using a new part as you pointed out - and it looks like it might be hollow? I can't quite tell from the box art but it looks like the center is an existing part, a printed round modified tile. If it is hollow all the way through, I plan on using it may be the best option we'll get

I know I've already posted, but: After I uploaded the first version, I kept on finding things to improve. I think I'm done now. Notable improvements: - Grogu's dome now fits a minifig (at the expense of being too large but that's minifigs for you) - Better angle and detail on the front of the wings - Better solution for the tail - More detail on the engines There's a couple more photos in this album, where you can also see my first set of photos for a before/after comparison.

[MOC] The Return of The X-Wing

I'm glad it's working for you cehnot, and I'm a bit stumped, as i's not happening for me at all. No discount visible, it took me all the way through to payment without a single sign of a discount. EDIT: It doesn't work in some browsers. It won't work at all in Firefox and took several goes in Chrome. In the latter, I had to have the X-Wing in my basket and then open the link from the email in the browser.

[MOC] The Return of The X-Wing

@JeracThe "Save 50% Now" link in the email doesn't seem to be working, as in, it was going to charge me full price when I clicked the link. Is it meant to apply a discount coupon at the end after you've clicked "buy" or something?

Since there is a ring here, let me throw my own hat into it: It's based mainly on inthert's design from Brickvault. More photos in my album on flickr

    T70 X-Wing: A classic revisited

I really, really like this colour scheme. It looks just right, and I vastly prefer it to the grey. Also, I might have quite a few of the needed parts... https://flic.kr/s/aHsknxbfgz I have the parts for the Black One on order. Looks like I need to order whatever white parts I don't have, and some more black studs with bars!

    T-70 X-wing [MOC]

Hey @blbills it looks like you are sharing your own link to the file. The link text looks like "https://www.dropbox.com/preview/Public/T-70 complete.io?role=personal". That link will only work for you, as it assumes the browser is logged in with your account. To share with everyone, you need to go to the .io file in File Explorer, right click it, and select the option which says "Share" (and on Windows at least has a little dropbox icon beside it). You then go to the bottom of the dialog which appears and click "copy link". You should get a link which looks more like this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/zjmn7jlf4ybhtv3/Executor.lxf?dl=0 (And yeah, that's a lego LXF file for a midi-scale model of the Executor SSD I did a while back, based on the work of Pelleaon - thread is here.) I hope this helps! -- David

The Tribute to The Razor Crest - Released!

That looks great . The bars with clips look fantastic in there. re: the holes, if you look at some good reference material, e.g.do a google search for the Hasbro Haslab Razor Crest model, there is a ring of vents right behind the engine opening. I bet your holes match up pretty well.

The Tribute to The Razor Crest - Released!

I really like this one. I may give it a go myself. Thanks also @Jeracfor sharing other ideas. I like them all better than the clip tiles .
