[HELP] 4 XL Motors 9398 Mod
Mikuri posted a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hello, sorry if this would better fit in a general thread, but here I go. Together with my lover we both have a 9398 to play around with. I've upgraded mine with 2XL motors instead of the usual L ones. It works really well even without any differentials. But now we want to upgrade the other one to 4XL motors. Now we ain't too sure about how to do it without destroying how the truck looks like. Switching the motors wasn't much of a change, but now with 4 XL, 2 B.Packs and 2 IR it might gets a little cramped. So does anyone have done something similar? Even a 4XL crawler base would be nice to look at, didn't found any :/ And if someone has some kind of build for a motorised Unimog that would be nice to see too. Like details and such. Well.... I'll keep this thread updated as we progress... :P -
[HELP] 4 XL Motors 9398 Mod
Mikuri replied to Mikuri's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
About time I finish my model! A bit similar to the Titan for the quadro XL, I recycled the Servo chassis from the 9398 and after a few mods here and there, I've managed to finish my version! Side by side our 2XL version and ou new 4XL version :)! The 4XL version is the smaller one, but it is a bit larger and longer. Only the height is greatly reduced. More pics and maybe a video soon, gotta go sleep, sooooo tired. -
I never ever put stickers on my models. The part is intact and can be reused without being different. I prefer printed parts. I have every sticker sheets in a drawer, might sell them one day, I dunno.

To hide the motors you could simply put it on ground and a axle could go up the the center of the wheel. I think there's a bit too much colors but the model is awesome and could be on my "to-buy" list :P

There's a general Easter Egg topic here with more of them here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=65655

Must be your store manager decision, because a lot of stores still sells them :P

Maybe someone needed a side only for a MOC or something :P

Problems receiving online pick a brick order. Am I an isolated case?
Mikuri replied to SweetiePie88's topic in General LEGO Discussion
LEGO online PAB is terribly slow for me in Canada. Took a month or so last time. -
Hello, Quick question before the store opens nearby. If let's say Toys'r'us has a discount on said set, will a Lego store discount it's price with a proof? Most stores do it here in Québec/Canada. Just wondering if Lego does it too. Thank you for any feedback, else we'll know later today haha :P
-
Yep, sadly Lego stores don't price match any stores, even the TRU in front of them. Oh well, thank you :P Bought the last 2 remaining Chima S2 Wave1 sets at TRU :P

I laugh I little too much I think :P Gotta hate those figs, so it's alright :P Their sets are nice, but regular figs would have been better :P

Hahaha, Emmet will be a little bit more scared when he realised it's not the TV but a window :P

I've played 1000 with this game. I liked it :) Good luck on your project, looks interesting n.n

Smooth start, but I have 21k parts with only the 2013-2014 sets I bought. Must be around 28k with all the Bricklink + PAB purchases. With older sets, might be a bit over 35k :)

Where is the best place to buy a particular brick in bulk?
Mikuri replied to Malikon's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Hahaha x) For your TRU experience, it is about the same for my LEGO store but with a random store that sells toys/rc/games. They sell over TRU prices (which are on pair with LEGO here) and they are like 3 mins of walk apart. And that toys store has a PAB wall filled of VERY cheap bricks. And they cost more than the LEGO PAB wall. -
Filling a cup for the first doesn't need any reason :D
