Like Drome Racing but, you know, better. Oh I don't know, I didn't think it was that bad.

And of course, like with SW, Battle Packs get round the problem of other companies not liking minifig pack as they're too similar to the action figure packs they put out. And they wouldn't be too expensive as they'd be four figures that'd essentially be the same.

Some more nice minifigs here mate. Talia looks great, and jungle Bruce is nice enough. Simple but effective. The gangster is nice, that head works quite well. The citizen looks a bit, um, butch. The prostitute is so very Gotham, and the Joker goons both look really good, especially next to his clowniness. I notice you've changed Harley's glove as well. The Penguin henchwoman is neat, and Summer Gleeson also looks good, but might I suggest a microphone instead of a camera? Not at all judgmental there mate... However, she did have a ridiculously oversized hammer in Supergirl:Power. Well, technically it was Superman/Batman #19 But he was revealed to be alive a few years ago in a Detective Comics storyline. Before he was killed again by Scarface.

Sorry, I've been quite busy. I'm ack now though. Glad to see you're not lounging around like someone here... In related news, I helped out at college on Thursday and Friday. It was GCSE results day, and they asked some of the students to come in and help with the enrolment. And I got £40 for it. I think I might treat myself to the Volcano Base this afternoon. I can't really comment on that, without having read it, but visually at least the film looks superb. In that case, I've got even longer to make my list. I'm getting there, but like I said, I've been quite busy recently. Oh God, no. Northern and pround of it. No, I live in a town in East Lancashire, relatively near Manchester (about an hours drive). On the Pennines. In fact, Olympic cyclist Steven Burke is from a town about 10 minutes away from where I live. I think he went to the same college I'm at now. No, no Vol.4 either, but I believe MOTP is out. Next time I'm in the DVD shop perhaps. I managed to pick up the 60s film for £5 the other day. Great find. There's also a Batmobile featurette on there I might watch sometime. In related news, this weeks Batman episodes are nothing to write home about, but last weeks were possibly the funniest I've seen. King Tut's Coup and Batman's Waterloo. Seriously, watch them, they're great. See if you can work out who's playing Lisa Carson. We didn't until the very last scene. I thought "Is that...?" then decided it couldn't be. But it was! Watch out also for the Riddler's boxes showing up in the fight scene, a named mention of Babs, and Alfred being ridiculous in part 2. I have managed to find time to watch a slew of BTAS episodes as well. Dreams In Darkness was great. But Batman mad? Surely not... Eternal Youth was quite good as well. Ivy looks a lot more, well, feminine here. Plus Alfred gets to do something, so that's always good. Perchance to Dream was very good. Batman is such a big part of his life, there's no way he can escape him. Batman needs Bruce, and Bruce needs Batman. Plus there was that "I was willing to give you any life you wanted, just to keep you out of mine" line. The Cape and the Cowl Conspiracy wasn't anything special really. But the Bat-signal was there... Robin's Reckoning was very good, both parts. The dialogue and credits put Dick at what, 18 or 19 now? The Bat-cycle is impossibly cool as well. Here's something interesting: Tony Zucco is voiced by a guy called Thomas Wilson. Strangely, one of my mates is called Thomas Wilson. You know what? I think The Laughing Fish is one of my favourite episodes so far. Seriously, it's that good. Night of the Ninja was alright. Nothing more really. It was nice to see some early training, and of course the cracks are starting in the Bruce/Dick relationship. Interestingly, Dick was really quite bothered when Bruce went off on his own in Robin's Reckoning, but was merely mildly annoyed here. You know, that's what I thought it'd be, but I assume it's not from what you say. Damn... this sounded good. I agree on the coin. Need to think of a good way to do it. Yeah, I guess. At least it's not been mentioned much since. Indeed. The walker may be crap, but the figs make up for it. And the pieces will no doubt be useful somewhere. You know, I was just thinking that. It's August! Normally we have to wait until at least October for pics. Not complaining though. Congrats on the Fellow thing, btw. Right... now I'm off to read through your edits.

Plus Nolan has said in numerous interviews that he has no idea whether he'll do a third film or not. He approached BB without thinking of a sequel, and did that same with TDK. The cast have said they'd definitely return if Nolan did, but don't know whether he will. Exactly. Julie Newmar is 75 not 62.

Alfred finally gets to do something. Man-Bat looks neat, even if we can't see much of him. Batgirl looks, um, hot. I love that mask/hair piece though, it looks really cool. The designers have really gone to town on the henchmen though, they all look different. Ivy's gardeners, and I assume that's Riddler's lot in the green suits.

Not to be pernickity or anything, but don't we have a Transformers thread? Of course, the Fallen may not be The Fallen, but rather Megatron and the other Decpeticos that fell at the end of the last film. Still, the inclusion of Soundwave is absolutely fantantastic.
-
Officially, and more important legally, they're still rumoured. Indeed, they are rather neat. I might have to dig my old book of tractors from years ago out of the loft, just to celebrate.
-
Ooh... weird. No, I like this, it's different. Sleek, smooth and unique. Nice work.
-
But then, of course, it wouldn't actually be Speed Racer.
-
Very nice, Penguin. I've not seen the film yet (still working my way through Vol.2), so I can't comment on accuracy and such, but it looks very nice. The front looks especially good... but I can't quite put my finger on exactly why. Lot's of guns inside means that Police and Batman are in for a rough night. Oh, and welcome back.

The original list said that there were six more to follow later on in the year. Assuming it's true (it's done pretty well so far), that means plenty more sets. No no no, it is Bruce Wayne. Batman is a master of disguise after all. They don't even have to colour yellow heads fleshie either, there are plenty of other fleshie heads out there already.
-
Not to mention the ridiculous number of firemen and policemen. Which means that soon all the old sets will be written off as an alternate universe... That farm really is quite nice. The cows look great, and the tractor with the digger-bucket is cool. I notice we've got red and blue for the tractors, the definitive tractor colours, which is good. The buildings are less good, but they're not bad. With a barn, a grain tower and a stable they've covered all the bases, really. I can also see a brown ladder, and a tan fedora, whcih is good. I knew they'd end up using the fedora elsewhere. Although... the figures are perhaps just a little bit stereotyped... the man with the fedora especially.
-
Dino Riders! No... perhaps it's a Summer release. Although wasn't some of the list said to be rumour? Indeed... And some of them are actually women! Excitement may be what you're feeling. With me it's tiredness. I've barely been able to keep up with all the news this afternoon, I'm being pulled in all directions. And I'm normally so relaxed and calm... I can't cope!
-
You know, I think I have to agree. I won't get most of them, I'm not made of money, but in looks alone, most of these are great. Maybe a bit like the old Makuta set, but obviously reverse and good-ified. Probably unlikely though...
-
Yeah, I guess. Still, this may still be preliminary. Actually, yeah, I've just compared the two and this one looks nothing like the film.
-
In fact, they're practically the same. These just have weapons and hands.
-
Isn't he fire-based? Surely that means he's smokin' hot? Sorry.
-
They may still be preliminary though. It's still a nice torso though. And at least we get something other than 'regular Indy'.
-
I'm guessing then that the Agents sets aren't January release. Well... it's certainly like that near me. The highstreet stores at least, S@H gets them pretty early.
-
Unless you live in the UK that is. They'll be on S@H for us, but at least near me, they don't usually appear in shops until February.
-
If Ra's is in, it'll be interesting to see how they get him in. He's not a resident of Arkham (well... he is now, but that's a different story), and he's most certainly not a team player. It'd be great to see him, just as long as they do the character justice. Maxie Zeus could be in. There aren't many villains left to chose from, so I guess it's a possibility.
-
At least this way we've got chance to have a proper look at each set as it rolls in, rather than scramble to talk about everything. Do we know that the Castle sets are January release? Because they haven't been the past two years, have they?
-
Five cool minifigs, no less. Very good considering it's quite a small set.
