Heh, cool! :classic: It looks most fitting for the more pulpy, Golden Age brand of superheroes of the '30s and '40s.

  5. Hi

after a longer period of silence I'm able to show some freshly printed items from a new 3d printing provider:
    - smooth surface

From an earlier trial there's a 2nd photo showing older designs from the same printing provider:

    3d printed in smooth white

    and now painted:

    .. and now painted

  6. Recently  I have found a new 3d printing provider which can deliver in the needed quality and in a reasonable price range.

I'm now searching for a reseller in US or Kanada which is able to cover this market with his bricklink store.
Currently the possible end user price range for these items can be between $1.5-$2.

If somebody is interested, please contact me.

Here you see the delivered items and in the background the first figures. The group shown above is wearing older prints from different 3d printing providers.

  7. In this photo you see 2 types of customization:

    - my own 3d printed hats which received a new quality hub via "smoothing beautifier" by Sculpteo and Acrylate by Shapeways. (So far never had a really smooth shiny experience, but now it's possible)
    - and UV printed torso by steindrucker.com, which also came out in a surprisingly quality (needed to resize my custom decals with help of vector graphic, but with some minutes of work and the help of Inkscape it was possible)

Together I can now think to build complete series of historical Minfigs in a quality nearby original Lego

  8. Only to bring that once more to the younger audience of this forum. The first Item was done as answer to a discussion here for creating a seldom part. After month of research i could present the first print here. Before i had no idea about 3d printing. So the forum  here was the  incubator for a series of more then 150 Historic items.

Those minifigures looks pretty good! Well done with that 3D printing

Only some days ago, Sculpteo has announced that their smoothing beautifier is available also in black. If ordered some and I'm looking forward how these items look with this new finish ..

Do you think you would ever sell them if you make them into physical form?

... also there were already some creations around, showing parts.

In that picture I've tried a newer service from sculpteo which has resulted in the best 3d printed surface seen so far:
