Dear all, I just want to let you know that the information that Kevin shared earlier is news to us and we understand the confusion and distress this has caused in the fan community. I have a meeting scheduled to look into this today, after the meeting I hope to be able to shed some more light on the situation, you will hear from me on LAN in a couple of hours.

Dear Ambassadors, I hope this will help clarify a bit of the confusion and misunderstanding from our end regarding LDD. TLG will remain committed to digital building going forward, in regards to LDD, this means that we will continue to support the current functionality. We will not be doing automatic updates on elements, however elements will continue to be added from time to time. Unfortunately we cannot ensure that all elements are made available. I can see that the message has spread widely in the community since Kevin’s statement and I hope that you will assist us in spreading this message as well. Thank you!

So less dead it seems, but still nothing about a future update.

  2. Our Ambassador over at Swebrick has gotten this information out of the Ambassador forum:

I've just touched base with one of our Digital Product Specialists within the Consumer Services team. A business decision has been made to no longer allocate resources towards the LDD program / initiative. For now, the program will continue to be offered to anyone interested in utilizing it but please do not expect any updates regarding functionality, the adding of new LEGO elements or glitch fixes. We have decided to pursue other digital experiences. Although this may not be the answer you were hoping for, I hope this information will be of use to your RLUG members. Thank you for your time and continued support for the LEGO Brand & hobby.

    *sigh*

Hi there, i tryed installing the software on another pc and it gives me this error:

Calling to constructor 'Installer.Windows.MainWindowLogic' generated an exception (something like this, i translated)

    ...

Hello. The problem is most likely that the Installer ("Installer.exe") can't access the file "LxfHandler.dll". Make sure that you have unpacked the "TransClear-Installer.zip" correctly so both files are in the same folder before running the Install tool.

If that doesn't work you can try right-clicking on "Installer.exe" and then click on "Run as Administrator".

I also heard that files can be "locked" and that you'll need to right click on both "Installer.exe" and "LxfHandler.dll" and then select "Unlock file" (or something like that) at the bottom of the pop-up meny.

    I hope this helps you.

  4. The only thing I suggest to fix is to add file notes.txt to the Installer project.

It does not compile without it.

Doh! I forgot that I had included that file into the project. I'll fix that as soon as I can. Thanks.

    Now, question

Can I add it to my list of Recommended Apps on my website?

    My website is here http://XLBro.com

    and recommended apps are http://xlbro.com/Lib/?L=ARA

Sure, you are free to promote and redistribute it how much you like.

And thanks for the praise :classic:

  5. Installed, great little addition! There's a minor issue: if i use the "Very big icons" view, the size of the thumbnail is the same as the "big icons" view, so it's way smaller than the surrounding. Perhaps it should be scaled up?

    Thanks :)

The image inside the Lxf-file is only 128 x 128 pixels big and scaling it up won't add more details I afraid. I choose to let the Handler keep the original size because I though a smaller image would be better than a larger but blurry image.

If you press F5 after generating the "Very big" thumbnails you should get less wasted space heightwise (unless you have files that are not Lxf-files in the folder).

I would like to share this little hobby programming project that I managed to finish enough for a public release. As you can see above, it is a little file that Windows can use to replace (in certain views) the normal Lxf-file icon with a picture of the build. :classic: (The picture that is show is one that is generated by LDD and saved in the Lxf-file, not one generated by this software.)

Download, unpack and read the readme.txt file for further instructions and information. (You will need to be running Windows Vista, 7, 8 or 8.1 and have .NET Framework 4.5 installed.)

  7. Have we confirmed that Loyd will be the Gold Ninja? I just ask, because some things like the golden robot in the Light Temple set, makes me wonder if Perhaps Zane has been set up as one of the surprises for this season.

The Golden Ninja has green parts printed on it, so I would be surprised if it wasn't Loyde.

    The invaders must die!

This is a MOC that I created because I wanted to give the Space minifigs from series 7 something to fight against. I wanted them to fight something that resembled the Xenomorphs from Alien and the Tyranids from Warhammer 40k. Most of all I wanted to monsters to have lots of teeth and claws :classic: I wasn't easy to select which colors to build the monsters in. I couldn't select the colors I wanted because the pieces I wanted to use didn't exist in those colors. Had also like to not use black at all, but I wouldn't be able to build want I wanted to build without using it, so it got to be one of the three colors on the monsters.

The environment is inspired by the Gothic and rust colored space settings you can find int the Warhammer 40k universe. I wanted to create a setting where the space guys didn't look to belong in. That, together with the eggs in the corner, was my attempt of making who invades whose home a little bit ambiguous.
