    [MOC] Pink Floyd - Echoes

Nicely done, fits the mood of the song quite well.

    How does this castle float?

Its called Tensegrity, check out JK Brickworks video on YouTube: (or its just Photoshopped)
  3. Look below the two red panels on the bottom right, you can see two black connectors that look like part 49731 (someone please correct me if I am mistaken) (a closer look shows that at least one may be a cross-axle connector) l
  4. Epic build, thanks for sharing. Clearly see this is a true labor of love, 7 years of building and looks fantastic! We would be interested in seeing the evolution from original concept to final product, if you are willing to share some of the prior attempts.
  5. I may have spotted some Lego Forma connecters, part 49731 in black, probably being used to hold the windshield in place, in one of the images on the TLG webpage showing 'cool bearded guy' building the bike. I was wondering when these parts would show up in Technic. Their use suggests that the use of more flexible sheets are coming in future sets.
  6. Can you give us some specifics about what you would change? Perhaps one of the greatest aspects of LEGO is the ability to customize and create MOCs. Understanding that the set designer is working under a limited parts budget and constrained by other factors - playability, safety, buildability, etc., the set is what it is. Its up to the AFOL community (us) to make mods to bring the set up to our 'standards'. So, please suggest some changes or go ahead and make a MOC.
  7. Two of the 3x3 biscuit parts in black - curious to see how they get used. And wondering if this part is just laziness on the part of designers, can existing parts be used instead, or are the biscuits needed for frame strengthening, etc.
  8. This is almost just nuts - looks like it goes where it wants, as there is no controller. A clever quick build, thanks for sharing!
  9. Older cas from the 60's and 70's usually had thinner tires (and hubs) than we do now. That said, these old muscle cars are usually outfitted with wider tracks for better performance - go to any 'classic' car show. I think LEGO made the correct choice here, regardless of what may be in the movies or as OEM equipment on the real vehicle. My expectation for a modified muscle car would be to have wide tires, as they give the model a more aggressive stance.

    [REVIEW] 11010 - White Baseplate

Has anyone noticed that the set number, 11010, is binary for 26??? Clearly a hidden message from the deep brick
  11. Looks interesting, I like the color scheme. Watching that slowest gear is worse than watching paint dry, but I guess we all have lots of time these days!
  12. I was going to suggest a trip to IKEA is in your future, they have lots of options, as @astyanax has noted. (Of course, our local IKEA is closed for who knows how long).

    [MOC] Building Other Album Covers

How about the Beatles White Album

    Lego Night mode

Its probably a combination of wired and wireless, with maybe a wireless/induction pad recharge item. The mock-up for the some of the sets show cars with lights, so either tiny little batteries for each vehicle, or each light is its own independent power/supply and lamp. Question is - since the models were not designed for lamps, can these sets be designed to be used retroactively, or will only new sets have illumination kits going forward?

    [MOC] Building Other Album Covers

Stop it! Too many old memories coming back. I've literally forgotten about these until now! Great work and keep them coming. How about ELP's Brain Salad Surgery?
  16. Very exciting development, and the smaller size is more convenient for display. But, I am wondering how he may handle more complex FLW designs, such as the Beth Sholom Congregation, with its famous Mt. Sinai shape, in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania (which is listed by the American Institute of Architects as one of the 17 American buildings which are to be preserved as an example of Wright's contribution to American architecture, according to Wikipedia). Not being part of TLG may enable Adam to do subjects that were off-limits, such as churches and other religious buildings, which have some of the most iconic architecture (The Vatican, etc.).
  17. Instantly recognizable, well done. Amazing how the wheels and fenders work here as well.
  18. Has anyone discussed the fact the the Sian is a mid-engine hybrid, with the electric motor, powered by a supercapacitor instead of batteries, integrated into the 7 speed semi-automatic transmission. I wonder if the LEGO version will even have a mid-engine or 7 gears? Supposedly the appeal of the UCS series is the ability to actually see the engine, which perhaps would be visible through the rear window??? The car will have a mechanical self-locking rear differential, will be great to finally get an official locking diff from LEGO.

    The Madcap Laughs

Like the way you captured the weird color balance of original. Shine on you crazy diamond! (sigh, showing my age again)
  20. LIke the looks, will be a nice way to get into PF+, but this set has to have the highest sticker-to-parts ratio of all recent Technic sets. And with all of the stickers, a B-model is a non-starter.
  21. I saw the video on youtube a week ago or so - very impressive board climbing skills!
  22. Did you check the batteries in your PF battery box?
  23. Could be something as simple as differentials installed backwards. But first, test all motors, battery boxes, IR receivers, remotes, etc. individually or as suggested above, on a simple vehicle. Also, there is a difference between type R1 and R2 IR receiver, that is not compatible with some motors, do a search to learn more.
  24. Niiiiiice! What is the software at about 2:06?
