Oh no! What happened to the Duke? Great job. Even without a story line, this MOC is interesting.

Seven-wide cars are the way to go. It takes some doing to get a chassis right, but the overall size and proportions will work better. I think the biggest problem you'll have is figuring out how to make the step-sides only half a stud wide....

It would be more interesting if the outside had more texture. I like the detail at the top of the roof and around the windows - try to carry that interest around the entire building maybe? Great MOC mock-up though.

I wouldn't like to be her entourage - they have to walk and she rides!

raminator“s random custom printed Minifigs

Sie haben ein Steindrucker? I want one! What kind of place is it that will do this? -
Matthias opens his eyes as the last Harpy falls, sits up gingerly, and finds himself suddenly holding two smelling salts and a grand potion. He has to lay back momentarily and set all three items down to rub his aching head and begin to search out his wounds until Cinna's healing spell hits him. Flustered but restored, he picks up the items again and puts the smelling salts into his pack but regards the grand potion with a cautious eye. "It will be a while before I need as strong a draught as this," the tiny gnome remarks in his bass voice. "Perhaps it may be useful to heal my bigger friends, though. Many thanks, Benji."

My second set was 6054, Forestmen's Hideout. I didn't even know it was called Robin Hood's Tree Hideaway until you posed that catalog. Thanks!

The great hall made me think immediately of the chapel at Coburg Castle. Really nice build.

A weak groan emanates from Matthias' limp form.

It doesn't really fit into the Star Wars theme, but it's a great ship!

I really like the parts of the fortress wall that aren't square. Excellent geometry.

From the outside it's unassuming and bland, and from the inside homey and civil; I suppose that's what a wall should be!

MetalBeard: Differences Between Film and Set?
StickFig replied to The Brick King's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Agreed. I wish they had waited until the movie was out to release the sets so that they would match. At least all the reviews of the movie have been great so far - that's the more important thing in my book. We can always update the sets with our own pieces but we wouldn't have been able to fix a terrible movie. -
The best view of this one is the underside. I really like the piping on the left side and the grille pieces used to make steps on the back.

REVIEW 70007 - Eglor's Twin Bike
StickFig replied to ch_ris127's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
That's an understatement. It's horrible. Thankfully the jet/bike is very, very cool to make up for it.- 9 replies

Seems like this would be a perfect fit for the Ultimate Collector Series. Lots of great detail.

[MOC] [WIP] Toyota 4Runner

It wouldn't be a real 4Runner anyway without some aftermarket suspension upgrades....- 26 replies

Cross-shaped arrow slits: You'll probably tell me it's a regular piece I've never seen before or something super simple and I'll feel like an idiot, but they're great. As is the rest of it.

Disagree. They look great! What he said. I confess, I didn't even know LEGO made pieces like these, but it looks like a cool build!

I agree, specifically the building below looks very desert-ish. I do really like the extruding support beams under the flat roof (flat roof => desert).
