A good looking moc for your first go around! The only thing I would say to add would be to put some smooth bricks in the indoor areas to keep some of those exposed studs covered, if possible.
-
This moc is instantly recognizable as a LotR build. Everything looks perfect! What would be wonderful is if you made this into minifigure scale. No pressure though.

An Unexpected Accident (built by my little brother)
Steel Tiger replied to soccerkid6's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
This is a great MOC overall, but there is one thing your brother missed: there are some areas at the bottom of the cliff below water level that are left dry. That is the only thing I can critique, because his cliffs and trees are very well done! -
This is a pretty good MOC. The only thing I would add is some more detail on the inside room on the left. It looks a little bit plain to me. It was a nice touch to put the water bricks on the bottom as well.

Nice work! I like how the towers and the gate are particularly smooth, but the outside is appropriately cluttered. The mix between the two looks nice.

Wow, very impressive! I particularly like your work on the wooden towers and definitely your SNOT steps. I'm surprised you didn't win anything.

Way to arrive in style! This is a gorgeous MOC indoor and out. The only thing I would suggest would be to get some texture in your river to give it a flowing look. Even that is kind of picky on my part, so great job!

Middle-Earth Madness - Ruins of Osgiliath vs The Golden Hall of Edoras
Steel Tiger replied to Blakstone's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I have to say osgiliath even though Edoras was a close second. -
I don't know... some kids may enjoy the playability of having an Obi-Wan ghost. The ghost of Obi-wan also played an essential role in Luke Skywalker becoming a jedi, and appeared in all three OT episodes. I wouldn't rule it out just yet.

Space Police IV base (MOC by my brother & me)
Steel Tiger replied to Murdoch17's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Well, I hope that the unreleased Super Secret police dropship sits stably on the larger platform. You said you tested the side platforms, but never said you tested the main one. Other than that, this is a great looking build! i may have to borrow that angled and slanted wall technique.- 6 replies

Shadows of Nar Eurbrikka — Introduction and Discussion

Whew, thanks Brickdoctor! Glad to finally be on board! -
What if Lego did an advent calendar type set with only bonus episode minifigures? I know we aren't going to get sets from each arc, but maybe we could get all of the (important) minifigures. It would have: 1 Tiplar 2 Tiplee 3 Admiral Trench 4 Commander Doom 5 Doom Trooper 6 501st trooper 7 Tup 8 Nala Se 9 Fives 10 clone naval officer 11 Rocket super battle droid 12 Kamino shadow trooper 13 Commander Fox 14 Shock Trooper 15 Rush Clovis 16 San Hill 17 Tribal Warrior 18 Tribal Leader 19 gundark 20 Mother Talzin 21 Pike Soldier 22 Pike leader 23 Mime/light side spirit 24 Dark Yoda 25 Darth Sidious P.S. Sorry for the long list-like post, comment if I left out any important characters.

[SoNE Ep IV] Sector C 'Eeek, it's a Mouse (Droid)'
Steel Tiger replied to Lobot's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
AHA! Take THAT you silly rebels! This whole thing looks fine to me, but I would like to see a straight on picture of the communications room. Other than that, this is great! P.S. Your rocks do look very good. -

Oh, whoops. I guess I should have thought about using technic pieces. For some reason I was trying to use a combination of other non-technic parts. Thanks Mr Man! -
This looks really good! I have been to the cathedral of learning before, and know this to be an accurate moc. The only thing I would suggest would be to add a little more variety to the trees. Rather than a lot of 2x2s, put some more differences in there. Other than that this is a nice looking moc!

An update on the separatist shuttle would be nice, but I doubt it will happen soon with the vulture droid and the droid gunship having come out so recently. Two other ideas that I just had: 1-The Jedi Temple: This set is so central to the PT and CW story lines, that I think it is the opposite of a miracle that we haven't gotten one yet. 2- An updated AT-ST: This would go very well with the Ewok Village, and we haven't had one of these in a while. (To me, the mini one from the planet set of Endor doesn't count.)
-
Well, in my opinion the less exposed studs the better. Personally, I would try to cover up some of the exposed studs in the larger interior section. EDIT: I just realized after posting that you said that this was an abandoned base. If so, you were probably going for the rough look rather than the clean one. If that is the case, you probably could make it work either way.

Steel Tiger replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Does anybody know if there is a way to get Embo (from set 7930) to be able to stand on the inside of his hat? I'm looking for a way to do this with no balancing involved and only using a few common pieces. Thanks in advance! -
Another AT-TE and two homing spider droids from LEGO.com.

Personally, I would love to see a venator, an ARC-170 starfighter, and another clone turbo tank, but none of them in UCS form. I don't think any of them have the screen time to be made into a UCS set. Even so, after seeing a UCS sand crawler come out, anything is possible.

Well, I don't know if my registration post has gone unnoticed by moderators for 11 days ,but if so I will try it again. I would like to enlist in the Imperial faction as a stormtrooper, and I will use the standard stormtrooper avatar for now. I have been watching from the sidelines for a while and have a Sullust moc almost ready to go. (That is incentive for you Imperial folks to get me signed up.) -
Micro figs for my Microfighters Millenium Falcon
Steel Tiger replied to Solscud007's topic in LEGO Star Wars
When the star destroyer (the $130 one) comes out this summer, you can put the Palpatine hologram microfigure in there too! -
I think it would be wonderful to see an Admiral Trench minifigure. It would also be good to get Commander Doom and some of his troopers in a Ringo Vinda set. ( For those of you who don't know who Doom is, he is the new green commander from the Clone Wars bonus episodes.

I guess that you could put Luke in the back of the cockpit as well even though he isn't present in the Millennium Falcon while wearing his hoth suit. You could also put all of the Imperial figures in with the mini star destroyer!
