You damn dirty Apes! *nevermind, different movie* I'm diggin' those lights and base plates, they aren't the original ones right?
-
Although I see a chance to add something unto to Bionicle armor, it's simply stunning! Love the color decrading pieces and shaping, she's a beauty!

It does remind me of 90's Blacktron in it most basic form. I think you should build upon this, try and refine it more. Add a couple of figs, maybe incorporate some action it can do, or even something like a detachable miniship/rover/robot.
-
Thanks all, just love building small vehicles like this. Already got another build going!

Since I don't think WW2-era fits in the whole Steampunk category, but rather Dieselpunk, to me the 4th fig fits has the most Steampunk vibe to me.

You said it yourself already... If you're in doubt, don't do it. It's a risk you don't actually want to take.

Same here, I have no idea where it is...

Wow, nice! Love the look of the street put together, but the "Le Bazar de l'Hotel de Ville" looks stunning. What other buildings/street/transportation elements are you guys gonna do?
-
COD:IW Yes, I know; I also play BF1. But I must say the gameplay/guns/design is really enjoyable, though they have to work on the lag & ani-cheat software.

So, I've been wondering; what's the ammount of AFOL's influence on official LEGO sets? Cause I regularly check out Flickr, see really nice MOC's; both in building technique's and visually design wise. And than a couple of months down the line a new official LEGO set pops up, using some technique's/visual elements of a MOC (reminding me of it).
-
Yes, indeed. I think it's cool to see 'building styles' from AFOLS in official LEGO sets, it's kind of a wink to them; 'senpai witnessed me'.
-
Wow, really!? Nice, I didn't know that. You're right, not literally. ;) Btw; the official set I've seen was the Mr. Pinguin's ride from the LEGO Batman movie, it reminded me of a steampunkish build I'd seen on Lugnuts. Had the same thing happen when I seen some other new theme's this past year, so many reminded me of MOC's of the web.

Well, not actually a movie... But I've been playing a lot of COD:IW Multiplayer and noticed that the voice of 'Wolverines - James Rhomer' sounded familiar. So looked it up, turned out it was voice acted by James Morrison, also known as lieutenant colonel T.C. McQueen of the series 'Space Above and Beyond' So started to watch SAaB again. For those who might remember, or maybe don't known what I'm talking about;

Love the way you made the ends flare up a little bit, nice idea by using that part!

Nice, I just seen 'Outback Truckers' on Discovery Channel and it looks exactly like them! Maybe one thing to reconsider; the tailgate, wouldn't it look nicer if you had to studs facing outwards?

Wow, so many great details inside; the bongo's & posters in the music store, the weights in the gym. Awesome! -

And the crook; a construction worker gone bad.

Love it! The choice of wheels and shaping makes it awesome. And the top with those 9 thingamajigy's is a nice touch of detail.

Nice, has a bulky heavy feel to it and the look of the front is great. Don't like that chewed up hose though... I'm building with that same glass windscreen, but find it so awkwardly shaped to put a descent roof on it, glad to see you made it work.

The Walking Dead (TV Series) Discussion
-zenn replied to Bricky Dee Williams's topic in Culture & Multimedia
TWD is one of the shows I follow... Gotta admit I was shocked; on one side I wanted to know who was 'gonna be it', on the other hand I didn't. Somehow I always dislike Carl, thus kinda hoped he was out... But no cigar.- 5 replies
