Then, realising that it was Chuck Norris that had landed in it, the elephant dung cleaned itself of his cowboy boots and beard.
-
But Chuck Norris wasn't, and he smashed through the ceiling. "This is all to confusing, so someone has to go!" and he delivered a roundhouse kick to the neck of Bob, which severed his head. Chuck Norris then flew out the hole he created in the roof.

Will there ever be a newer better ship than the BSB or SES?
Norrington replied to Antsa Antero's topic in LEGO Pirates
There will never be a ship better than the BSB or SES. Unless, of course, they take my suggestion and make a special edition Cafe Corner-esque Modular Ship-of-the-Line. That will never happen, though. -
I'm surprised that this hasn't been indexed yet. Gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=105702 Is Muffin a member here? If not, Maybe one of you MODs could get in touch with him so he could share his secrets and give us some more detailed photographs. I's love to build on of these in LDD to buy for myself. A lovely shelf decoration! He also built this great (albeit multi-colored) model of the HMS Bellona in Minifig scale: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=274948

I have to say these look great ... from astern. The bows are too low and frankly, kind of ugly. The smaller ships suffer from Square Stern Syndrome. Also, the smaller sterns are a little high, for my taste. I suppose that's the trouble with prefab hulls. However, there are many redeeming features. The sterns on the larger ships are great. I even see the Neptune IV's side castles angling back to meet the stern gallery. Lovely! The amount of cannons you must posses is very impressive, along with the amount of mast and hull pieces. The sails are just perfect, and I can give them no higher praise. Keep on building.

I'd like to be involved. Thanks.

If I remember correctly, you had some sort of childhood memories of Disneyland, so how about the Haunted Mansion? Disneyland: Walt Disney World (This is actually Tokyo Disneyland's, but they are virtually identical) Disneyland Paris (Phantom Manor): Doombuggies.com is a great site, as well as Ray Keim's Haunted Dimensions: http://www.doombuggies.com/ http://www.haunteddimensions.raykeim.com/

Not only is it great, in my opinion, it's the best Disney film ever made! (The Adventures of Ichabod & Mr. Toad is a close second) The ship models in 20k are great, and I'll get a screen capture later, when I have access to a PC (I have idea how to do it on a MAC. Any suggestions?)

Walt Disney's Treasure Island movies Walt Disney's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea Horatio Hornblower Richard Sharpe The Patriot (not for the Mel Gibson scenes, the battle marching scenes) Master and Commander To a certain extent, the PotC movies.

What does Greenie have to do with this? It's impressive, to be sure. I think that the stern could look better. However, it's still great. Those blue lattices must have cost a fortune. The tumble home also bothers me, for some reason.

BrickArms Pirate Accessory Prototypes
Norrington replied to the enigma that is badger's topic in Pirate MOCs
You have no idea how hard that made me laugh. Considering how a friend of mine won't shut up about shivs, shanks, shanking, shiving, etc. Those look great! The Rapier may be a bit long, I think, to be held by a rubber band around a Minifig's waist and looking natural. Could we have a comparison with the standard LEGO cutlass? The bayonet is great! I want a Brickarms backpack with a holder for the bayonet components. Maybe some Brickarms ammo pouches. -
The bowsprit looks pretty accurate. Doesn't mean I like it, though. I always thought that tallships looked too front-heavy with such long bowsprits.
-
Fat Tony, this is just great! The usage of snot is wonderful, and I don't think we've seen real gibbet before. The rubber bands as blood isn't really new, but your usage is very good. It reminds me of the opening scene in PotC 2. I like the ramshackle appearance of the gallows, as if it's about to fall and rather than having their necks snapped, their legs are broken The crow/raven is a great design, and the use of wagon wheels in the gibbet's great too. 5/5!

Hmm... Based on that comment, you've never heard of the HMS Victory, the flagship of Lord Nelson at the Battle of Trafalgar and last remaining ship of the line in existence? Here's the real thing:

Sea Wars! (AND Medium WIP PTV entry!)
Norrington replied to Snake...SNAKE...SNAAAAKE?!'s topic in Pirate MOCs
An interesting concept. However, not very well executed. The Centennial Robin is evocative of the Millennium Falcon, but it it is nowhere near a realistic design or, for that matter, a very... sleek design. Two large prong-y things might inhibit speed. However, there are some things I like. The idea of Artoo being turned into a mute child is a very interesting, though I wouldn't nessecerially call Artoo mute. However, a different language speaker might be more feasible. Maybe turning him into a islander of sorts? My last gripe is that the imperials are wearing castle helmets. -
CONTEST - Pillage the Village - Creative Critic Award
Norrington replied to Mister Phes's topic in Pirate MOCs
Ok, i'm in. -
They're line infantry. I think it's OK. The Torsos are the best for this in LDD, but all in all, they aren't that appropriate. The uniform is too... uniform. The hats on all of them should be white. Also, the office doesn't really match. Maybe give him the same torso but some sort of distinguishing feature.

I like it, though I must admit, it reminds me of the Smurfs: Though the google search used to find this picture also revealed that someone else has done that, also: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=138240 5 really like however, that he made the stem of the house emulate Tudor, which really gives this house some character. As if the magician found a giant mushroom, and then he built some frame work and stone work around it, then started living in it. I love it!

A nice MOC, but what is the guy on the dock so scare about? I just looks like they're going to push him into waist deep water.

The Baritones Discussion Thread
Norrington replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
No, not really. Sorry. I'll shut up. -
I like it because it's small. So, it would look nice on display, or you can take of it's below waterline portions and play with it. It's approx. the scale as 10021 USS Constellation. Or were you referring to the HMS Bellona

I think that the Life boats should be higher up and out of the gun deck so that more guns can be added where the boats were previously.
-
Oh, how is that Bank chest (the whole thing) constructed? Can we have a full photo?

Thank yah, Sah!
