    7675 AT-TE Articulation mod

I like it. It looks a bit empty in the middle, which bothered me. I made mine inaccurate by removing the carrying handle (worthless) and adding red armor plates and a hatch (a round plate from the At-ST set). It should be some sort of rubber under-armor type thing, but whatever. I'm not sure about the way it angles while climbing, and I'm not sure that AT-TEs could realistically do that. Also, I'm sure that this thread's subtitle couldn't be taken in a wrong way at all. No sir...

Thanks. As to your preformance in Roman Mafia. Even if I had, you pulled it off better in RM, what with your Oscar Wilde-ish wit and great sense of humor.

Well, I suppose. But, have you ever heard the Shel Silverstein poem (I beleive it's called) "The Magic Fish." Here's a summary: A little boy catches a fish, and the fish says that he is magic and will make all the boy's dreams come true. The boy lets the fish go, and of course, the fish lied. He escapes. The boys catches the fish later. As you might tell, if some one is pleading for their life, you may not nessecarily take what they say as the truth. And, as for hinting at it. That's a sorta hit-miss thing. I.e. "I can help find the baritones!" Well, that could be taken as "AHA! That clever bastard, he's a Baritone for sure, allright. Trying to get the attention away from him. He's getting my vote." It'd been better to admit it, but alas, people say anything (See article: "MAGIC FISH") Ah well, good luck to ya, suckers! :skull:

You PM'd me? I must not have noticed it, as I generally just click forum right away. The reason I didn't investigate anyone is because there was no-one I particularly suspected. And if I had just randomly picked someone and they were innocent (I am suspecting Adam at this point) it would have made no difference. And of course, I couldn't have announced anything without blowing my cover. But, if I voted for the guilty person, I wouldn't really have a way other than explaining I worked for the FBI. And if everyone voted for the baritone, I would still have blown my cover and been killed in the night, eh?

Actually, I saw it on Brickshelf. Never actually been to a LEGO show. I've seen some TWINLUG member's models in a display case around here though. Welcome. I Kaiten. I will say, it's funny you should post that Harper Goff concept art (yes, I'm EB's resident Disney-phile). I like your interpretation of PM's facade. One thing: I'd switch the old gray walls to mixed dark grey walls, prefereably mixed in with bley, so it has that weathered appearence. The brown could be mixed too. I'm building as it might have appeared in it's glory days (and, it's design is based on the haunted house first posted here, but that's because I think he based it off of PM because based off of Ray Keim's Paper model, the walls are even on the same layout as PM's. I'm also not sure about that mudgaurd technique, as they are not avalable in white in LDD (I think. I checked all the categories and they're not in there.). I'm thinking I'll experiment with some other Ideas.

Waay to go, guys. I hope this teaches you to be more careful in your judgements. And Adam: would mind not posting random advertising crap? It's is very annoying. Thanks.
  7. I am innocent! 1. By "dragging them into the alley" I mean "getting them off the street where rats will eat them." 2. Veronica, you do too have access to the caller ID. You said yourself that it was deleted. Perhaps you deleted it then? You're welcome to check the camera. I dropped it off at the mayors office for it to be checked last night before I went home for curfew.. It should be still there, and It contains nothing incriminating. I am offended that you not only think me capable of murder, but that you also think I am as depraved as to record it.
  8. The media was on the scene first, because we were called by a concerned citizen. We rushed to the scene as it was our duty to inform the public. Of course the mayor knew they were the FBI. He is the mayor (although, seeing as to how he's taken care of body disposal and other scurity measures, not a very good one.) Florence was a good woman. She was always helpful, running a thriving business. So tragic. Ivan, we'll find out who did this. Tom didn't participate, so I cannot objectively comment on his life. Sorry. Lee was, at times (ok, all the times) hyperactive, constantly changing the subject. Inviting people over for tea and chess (which Al seems to think equals sex, apparently.) But, he was funny and got the coolest hairpeice. May he rest in peice.

ARTICLE: Big Lego Brother is Watching

An interesting article, but you mentioned an un-person and Oceana has always been at war with Eastasia. Not Eurasia. Doubleplusun-good. Seriously, a very interesting article. I never really thought of the civil liberties of my minifigs. Except for the nudist figs. We shut that mess down on the quick step.
  10. Another question: Why, precisely, are the bodies still laying in the street? At least drag the damn things into the alley. They're stinkin' up the place. Where's the mayor? He's not doing his job! I want an Impeachment trial! I must say, we should at least gather all the evidence we can and come to intelligent decision. Maybe install security cameras thruout the town so we may find the evidence as to the killers identity?
  11. Veronica, being another. As well as everyone else in the studio.
  12. I doubt that this is the time, as three of our innocent citizens have just been murdered. Maybe it would be wiser to film interviews and get stories? Maybe get photographic evidence of the murder scenes? Maybe form some sort of neighborhood watch group? Maybe make it easier to enforce the curfew? Come on!
  13. OOC: The reason I haven't posted is that I just got home from school. 1. I most certainly do not drink red bull. Disgusting stuff. 2. I also did not commit these murders. I must say that *AHEM* relations would not come between me and Lee. The man invited me to tea. TEA! That is a true show of friend ship. Besides, who said that Veronica was a longterm relation ship?

    Victorian House windows

Well, that's what I want to do, but then have a brown moulding and frame that goes around it, like in the pic I linked.

    Victorian House windows

I have seen Alien Cat's stuff, but the main house isn't stone. It's gray wood with reddish-brown accents. Though of course, I could do that snot plate technique for the siding and the stone-work techniques for the foundation and chimneys.

I tried that, but I don't want it really bulky like Green Grocer. I was thinking maybe using snot to use wedge plates.

Oh, looks great! While watching that movie, I felt sure that it would go over a bump, and he would fly forward and get his face sanded off by that wheel.

    HMS Phoenix

For one: it doesn't look like it's finished. I might comment that it's to high, as Naval ships didn't have very high sterns. Of course, with Holland and it's flyuts, they do seem to like those high sterns. Also, given how high the the side of this ship is, I might suggest using some tumblehome. Tumblehome is the sides of the ship sloping and getting narrower as they go up. Here's a good example: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=59005 Here's the HMS Victory in her 19th century Victorian paintjob, also a good example: As she looks today, in her Trafalgar splendor:

    HMS Phoenix

It's an interesting ship, to be sure. I do believe that you are the first one to touch on the fact that Naval ships weren't black with yellow (and later) white stripes, but rather they were a shade of dark blue. I think that the stern needs work, but otherwise it's very good.

I like the moc as a whole (I love the water), but the terrain looks like one of those old, pixel-y, TurboGrafix games. Al a so:

    Greatest Movies

Very nice looking. Of course, surely you know that one of the most iconic and best films of all time is: GIANT SQUID! EDIT: Replaced the old poster (it somehow changed into a banner for the site) with a new, better one.
  23. I'm surprised I didn't comment on this earlier. Im assuming I voted for the Durmstrang ship, as I think the hull would be useful for a Flyut or Galleon. However, I like the USS Constellation as a display on the upper shelf type model, maybe taking it down and removing it's below waterline portions and playing with on the floor once in a while. I also like the flying time vessel for some other reasons: One: The professor's torso is great for steam punk, victorian, etc. And, as I'm currently having a love affair with 19th century steam vessels, the gray hull is especially useful, what with the iron plating of the period.

    Governor By Me Onesies

Great work! I hope you were able to recover the Drunken Kraken The undersea rocks are brilliantly done, and I must say the effect of the sea weed moving in the current is very nice. It does remind me of a certain scene in the old 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea ride at Disney World. "The graveyard of lost ships: These rotting hulls keep their lost treasures, safe guarded by silent sentinels of the deep: Man-eating sharks. One of nature's most unpredictable predators of the deep. (this image is from before the lagoon was filled in. Consequently, the scene lacks: A. Seaweed (which was put in after the lagoon was filled, one by one ) B. Man eating sharks, which would "swim" around with their strings barely visible!
