They do not do it that often, only with the airline special sets. Is it offical that the house is not coming to the USA? They do it more often than you think! According to corp., the U.S. will not see that house, however we do have a house designer set, but this is just a set with a bunch of different home pieces.

I have no idea. Lego does this quite often. I guess they think the the house will not sell well in the U.S.

Lego does have a policy about war themes. This is the reason I said I don't think they would ever make a Army version of the Hummer, however, anything is possible. Lego has and still does make sets and themes just for some countries. Bellville was a collection we could not get in the states for some time. We now get them but they are considered "Imports". We also don't have the Lego house that is currently on the Euro market... just to give a few examples.

You will notice that the side mirrors are off the car. You have to take the mirrors off an insert metal push rods to transport the vehicle. You can't see the hole in the pics, but there is a hole where the mirrors attach.

The X90 is not a new set, just a big megablock full size SUV made from Lego. However, if it was a set, could you imagine the size of the box? Hmmmm :oo

Not at my store. For us, this will be the first time that we have any minifigs of any sort in PAB.

Well, I'm kinda an insider. I work for Lego's retail division, which is the last to know about everything when it comes to the Lego chain. The model that was shown to us looked like model team scale. We were also told a technic version was being tested, I have not seen it. The prototype was a yellow civilian H2 model, however, you could use the Statue of Liberty bricks to make your own army version. I doubt that Lego would ever do an army theme. I'm not sure with GM, but Lego paid Ferrari to create the Ferrari sets. Sort of... Volvo just paid Lego to create a full size scale model of a Volvo X90 SUV. They also gave Lego permission to send the car on a world tour to all Lego retail stores.

Some are Re-designs, and some are true re-releases, or re-releases in different colors. I don't like Bionicles, but they are great for business because the kids suck them up. Bionicles have also been responsible for getting kids to acknowledge the Lego name and prove Lego is still a viable toy maker. But even Bionicles, and the lines great success, has not been able to stop Lego from bleeding to death.

How true it is. I agree with vader316, however, someone at Lego knows what they are doing because the Bionicle line is the best selling sets Lego has. Kids know the movie line-by-line and all the names of each set (even with each set having almost the same names). Lego is doing the automotive industry thing... Lets build the same car 4 times and name it something different each time and sell it as a new model....

I like that through, the things should have numbers anyways and the box number works well, but what if people buy one than one? That is the only thing I hate about it. I have a fleet of police vehicles with all the same number. :(

Just wondering if anyone ever noticed when a vehicle has a number on it, it is the item number. Just look at the number on the boat of the fire truck David just posted. They do this almost everytime with the police vehicles.

That's what always happens to me. When we receive the figs I will let you know. Maybe then you can call your store to see if they have them and make a special Lego run if they do.
