Simpsons 2015 Rumors and Discussion

Recommended Posts

I think the reason we didn't get Sunday Best Bart this time is because Bart parts his hair when he's dressed up and therefore his head would require a new mould.

I'm wondering if they've saved people like Moe/Barny and Skinner for in case they want to make Moe's or the school, that they'll have exclusive minifigs to make you want to buy the set (like Snake for the Kwik-E-Mart).

Haha thanks for digging that out, I tried looking for it earlier but gave up looking through my 'recent posts'. At first I thought that Lego could've included him as a minifigure but then in the latter post I realised that it would be easier for them to create a sticker (which with our great predictive minds working collaboratively to decide that Lego would include his appearance in the set in any format has proven to be right ). :classic:

Great minds think alike! :)

Who else thinks that Frink's body would be good for making Dr. Curt Connors?

I thought the exact same thing when I first saw it!!

What I think really sets the he Simpsons house apart (and the shop as well) is the really fun cartoon style of the exterior and the fantastic interior details. Although they are targeted at AFOLs actually they are really fun playsets for kids. Like a really fun dolls house with fantastic characters. In fact, my 2 daughters (7 and 9) like the Simpsons because of the LEGO sets. They had never seen the tv show before. But the Simpsons house set was simply amazing and I am pretty sure the shop will be too!

Probably not. Those would require sloppier-looking molds for the family, and ultimately wouldn't be worth LEGO's time.

said at the forum that Moe refused

It was rumored that he would have been featured in 71005 The Simpsons Series, but he did not appear in the final minifigure list of the series and it was replaced by Ralph Wiggum. Some speculate the reason this happened is due to Moe's occupation of being a bartender.

^ That would be poor as Lego need to think if they want to look down on people for the job they do. They didn't have to have him holding a beer they could give him flowers as he looks for love.

Very true. And he is a very popluar and classic character... Would be a shame to NOT have a Moe minifigure.

Yeah, I've got a feeling that we'll see at least one more series with a casual Moe. Or, even a D2C with a casual Moe. Y'know, not in his regular attire.

My friend in Mexico has the Kwik E Mart already, problem is it has no box, so I don't know if I should get it at 195 USD

I think the Springfield Elementary School would be way better than the Android's Dungeon.

I'd choose Skinner or Jimbo as exclusives to that set, just like Snake

Honestly, I think it's more unlikely than Android's Dungeon or Krusty Burger (either can be the next D2C). It will hold a price tag of at least $300. Personally, if they DID do that set, I'd like a Superintendent Chalmers minifigure. I don't think he'll be in a Series 3 of CMFs... but maybe LEGO would be willing to do multiple exclusive moulds. I dunno.

Perhaps.... but I don't think Superintendent Chalmers would be appealing enough to be an exclusive minifigure

Do you think LEGO could produce a regular wave of sets at some point?

There is some interesting stuff that is not big enough to make a D2C set, like Homer's car:

We need more Simpsons villains like Mr. Burns and Snake, but Nelson is not actually a villain. He's just a resident bully who likes to tease Bart Simpson with the quote "Ha Ha."

Plus Kumiko and Greta Wolfcastle with a proper torso and legs in Simpsons Series 3.

I just watched "$pringfield (Or, How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Legalized Gambling)"

Mr. Burns' Casino would be a pretty cool D2C set :classic: but highly unlikely

Besides Mr. Burns Casino, there's some casino in the show that has a resemblance to the real-life Las Vegas Casinos such as Dupes (Dunes) and Golddiggers Casino (Stardust).

Those two cannot be produce in LEGO due to licensing policy.

But Homer's car was already in the Simpsons House. Personally I think it'd be cool to have a Canyonerro or an official Marge car, I was hoping for the Marge station wagon at the Kwik-E-Mart but instead we got the cop car :(

IF they do another set next year, my money is on the Android's Dungeon... but I can see a Krusty Burger getting some traction...

Not that green car. That one hasn't been made yet.

Ahhh Homer's Car... The Homer. I just got the Hot Wheels version myself :D

There are some pretty good MOCs of The Homer though!

I can see them doing Krusty Burger and the school before Android's. Maybe the school would be the front half like most of the Friends sets? Surely, there's no chance they'd do a casino or Moe's.

I'd buy Homer's car, it's hilarious! It would be nice if they'd do a few smaller sets. The backyard treehouse, for instance.
