The golden C3PO is mine!

It arrived today.

I was a bit curious, because I was waiting for some BL-orders to arrive, but this packet was even better! *wub*

c3pobag.jpg

When I first looked at the bag and the fig inside, I thought: Hey the put me an old coloured C3PO in it! >:-( Through the milky plastic the fig looks like a "normal" C3PO. But fortunately they have made a whole in lower right corner.

As you can see, it IS the golden one! *wub*

I could sing and dance all day!

... I just didn

Were they shipped from Germany? That would explain why you got yours first. Hopefully mine will come soon X-D

Got mine today too :-$

I just think it is too bad that too many of these will end up in the hands of children not knowing the REAL value for AFOLS

I think it is bad that many AFOLs don't realise the joy and happiness a child may have when they find they have a "special" C-3PO to play with. Because thats what LEGO is for. Playing.

I'm not trying to be rude or offensive, I just don't like the whole "Silly children. Golden C-3POs are for AFOLs." attitude I see in many AFOL communities. It really annoys me.

You do have a valid point, but I look at it slightly differently. While some children may be happy and appreciate it, there will also be quite a few who think it's garbage and throw it away, or don't get that it's special and treat it like any other fig (without thinking 'hey this is neat!')

At least that's the way I look at it :-D I don't look at it too negatively though, I mean as they say, 'them's the breaks'

Yup, thems be those brakes. Cela est la vie. But, I think the bag it comes in would cement its speciality. And no child I know would throw it away, just give it to someone or use it for parts. Here is a good example of that. And why treat more specially, eh? It is just a C-3PO fig with chromegold

I HAVE YOU NOW!

Little golden mini-fig made his appearance yesterday in the post... came from the same Langenhagen address as posted above. So, if you won one, they've reached the UK now!
