And for the third wanted model here's how far it is ATM:

I decided to use normal portal hubs in rear in order to have higher gear ratio on rear for less axle twist and have more bias for rear power displacement. I will use a central differential to compensate for different axle gear ratios.

You are totally in Mini-model mode, or not? :D

But looking at the wheels, this one is not being so "mini" :P

I think he's more in "how-many-models-can-I-make-in-a-week" mode

Nice start, is it going to be orange? :classic:

Yes orange

Thanks guys, still have to record the unimog today so this will have to wait.

Oh and turtles...

Nah, the links are very flexible and they survived totally fine with higher loads in the trophy truck. The steering angle is some 25 degrees, but thanks to the central diff it turns nicely without being pushed sideways by the rear axle.

Good chassis. Buggy motor... cool. I hope to see nice body!

But, i think distance between 1st and 2nd axles too long.

P.s. it not a MINI, I built a mini!

Haha you wear

.

By the way, there is something in between fullsize (Unimog/94.8/Power Puller tyres) and mini. Both Zblj's and Gsia's trucks I would call midi scale :classic: .

Thanks guys! Yeah compared to my previous full scale model (

) its mini for me

Nah I called it mini because of the mini portal axles...

You very funny, but I just broke my toe

Zblj give me idea - build AMG 6x6 on 43.2 x 14 mm tread. It will be MINI scale.

Progress so far:

It drives and all, but I am running out of orange bricks, so I will probably build with white further.

So here's the finished model outside:

And inside:

Notice the details in the rear:

p1200012.jpg

The rear opens up showing the hidden battery box:

p1200013.jpg

As you can see the rear suspension is very flexible:

p1200016.jpg

And the under-shot of the model:

p1200015.jpg

I increased the rear axle's gear ratio from 1:3 to 1:5, but the model is still a bit heavy, hence its not really an extreme offroader, but more of a fast dester racer. Maybe an XL motor would work better torque-wise, but the speed would be lower.

The model does not use any springs at all, but relies on the flexibility of the 9L links. This makes it quite bouncy, yet very soft.

As usual I also made an LDD file if anyone is interested in rebuilding the model

Download the LXF file here:

And finally the video:

Hope you guys like it

IMO this is one of the best looking and eye catching models

Its as colorfull as my parrot

Great job man! I actually like the colour scheme, quite original.

so final gearing is 5:1 from the outside output of the RC motor?

Amazing video as well, so many cool locations!:thumbup:
