LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors

:cry3: Nothing to add regarding the Prices

75099 Rey's Speeder - 193 pieces - £19.99, €29.99, $19.99 .10/piece

Nice design although too big. Probably impulse buy early on…

75100 First Order Snowspeeder - 444 pieces - £39.99, €54.99, $39.99 .09/piece

Looks like some Megablox Halo stuff, still I’ll try to get it on a discount! Love the trooper variety!

75101 First Order Special Forces TIE Fighter - 517 pieces - £59.99, €76.99, $69.99 .13/piece

I’d love to add it to my Tie collection, but I got the last one at a discount for less than half that price…damn

75102 Poe's X-wing Starfighter - 717 pieces - £69.99, €99.99, $79.99 .11/piece

I think the really nice new canopy looks out of place here. It should be black…

I would have preferred a neutrally colored version with that canopy.

Moreover I think the lower foils would look better studs up.

75103 First Order Transporter - 792 pieces - £79.99, €114.99, $89.99 .11/piece

Looks like a chibi aircraft carrier, will get it anyhow, since I love imperial designs and

all those new troopers.

75104 Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle - 1004 pieces - £99.99, €129.99, $119.99 .12/piece

Too much money for a winged atat. I can’t see how it can fold out its wings either. I hope Kylo survives the first movie, so he can return in some cheaper/better set.

75105 Millennium Falcon - 1332 pieces - £129.99, €164.99, $149.99 .11/piece

I should update my falcon (7190). Maybe this is the one to take its spot. On the other hand it looks exactly like all the predecessors which I didn’t buy either…

With tight money, this wave just doesn't work

Just like the great strategy :sarcasm_hmpf: they used with Jurassic world of spreading valued characters into expensive sets.

At least since I only collect minifigures that are important to the movie I can skip the snowspeeder and tie fighter... for now

I also hate how TLG did on Kylo Ren minifigure too.The helmet thingy looks too big and the mask should printed on a normal minifigure head.

I'm pretty sure that's what LEGO did. Did you notice there's a black hood next to Kylo on "out of the box" image? I don't think the minifig head below the helmet is a "human" one, but his mask printed on a black minifig head. This gives you the choice to use a hooded version of Kylo (like in all promo images) or a version with the helmet and no hood.

I'm still not entirely sure why people don't understand the strategy behind splitting main characters of licensed themes across sets?

It's always happened... with the Avengers sets you need to get some pretty mediocre builds and the most expensive one to get the whole team. It's never going to change so please don't be surprised if it always happens this way.

You need to buy the Ewok Village to get Leia in her Endor dress as well as Luke in the black Jedi outfit...Then they put a variant in a £70 set along with the new Vader. You have to buy a £80 set to get Chewie as well as Han and Leia in Endor camo. The new C-3PO is in a £250 set so having the characters will always be a case of splitting things up. Just look at Rebels with having to pick up the Ghost and the Phantom... then putting Sabine in a new set with Ezra before finally adding a large set just to get her helmet.

The sets are expensive but a lot will be on some kind of reduction pretty quickly at a lot of retailers all over the world. The Falcon gives us most of, what we assume to be, the main 'gang' for Episode VII-IX. Two large First Order sets will get you the main 'baddie' along with a named senior official, another officer, a senior trooper and a variety of troopers and ground crew. A better mix than is available for the OT most of the time.

I see that, but I feel that the helmet thingy looks too big to be a mask.Kylo Ren can be a awesome minifigure, but what TLC did this time just dissapoint me.

I already own the previous MF (highly modded) so the only thing that catch my interest is the beach ball droid. I am collecting the astromech droids so I can see me bricklinking it in the near future when prices became reasonable.

I thought this as soon as I saw the hood on it's own next to it. I've not read many spoiler related things so I'm not sure if we get to see the character out of the mask but if not then I'd expect a printed mask on a regular head or the hood will be pretty much redundant. Having the helmet and mask printed as well as a hood and printed head is a pretty good mix of options to be fair.

All in all I quite like the industrial nature of things. There's much more of a sense of military might in how they appear to be in the promo images so far. I prefer this to the shiniest of shiny ships that we have in the PT... Naboo had so much bling it felt like the space version of Monaco... even parts of their fighters were chromed.

Kylo Ren's shuttle reminds me of a very large version of one of the minirigs that were available from Kenner back in the day... the AST-5.

Just make it grey and have the wings go up instead of being a support stand. Just me?

Apparently Kylo Ren;s shuttle, the wings only slide up and down. Pity that. Its about as boring as boring gets. This is one set Ill pass on.

The speeder I like, looks very detailed. As for the Falcon, even with the slight mods, it still has the abundance of characters. The new X-wing--a must. Wonder if it will come in other colors?

This seems really strange. With an as yet unreleased film Lego are working with limited info, but we see the ship closing it's wings coming into land? All I can think is that what we saw in the trailer approaching the SSD was not Kylo's ship.

I would change all this new FA sets for 2 decent clone wars/rebel/PT/OT sets anytime...just not impressed at all.

My opinion...

millenium falcon that looks the same as OT one, they didn't improved it at all...

snowspeeder that looks ugly as hell

troop transport looks like amfibia-tank-marvel-DC-super hreos stuff and it doesn't have star wars feel at all

red tie that is bearly changed from last OT one...

X-wing is ok, but look at the price

Command shuttle looks quiet kennerish, and it does look like star wars , but come on using 1000 bricks for a box like cabine with 2 vertical plane wings...stupid...this could be done with 300-400 bricksand nobody would noticethe difference...

Rey speeder is the only really ok set, but again OVERPRiCED ...couple of bricks and 2 figures...

Prices are horrrriiiibllleeeeee. They will milk lot of extra €£$¥ from ppl just because it is from newwwww movie...and we don't even know if the movie will be good since J.J.Abrams already killed Star trek and the same could happen to Starwars as well...

I'll pass this wave for shure...

I disagree on the falcon.

It looks like a real falcon, worn and it looks like it has makeshift repairs, colorscheme is great, the turret looks like an improvement. Sloped pieces instead of those curved ones. It looks like a smugglers ship, not like a YT-1300 right of the production line.

yeah shuttle doesn't look that impressive for me either, but it includes minifig of main bad guy of the movie, so it's going to sell. While I wou like to get Kylo Ren minifig I am going to wait and see if lego is going to release him in another set next year( hopefully with more interesting and cheaper build).

My guess is TLG designed KR's shuttle around a preliminary version - long before the teaser trailer even existed. The cropped image below illustrates the shuttle in what appears to be flight mode with the wings in a vertical position, and lacking the bottom flaps. I also recall this image dropping some months ago, before the trailers appeared.

So, a couple pairs of Technic lift arms with friction pins and an over-center locking mechanism. Looking forward to a little challenge, and to see what others come up with.

Also,

-------EXTREMELY MINOR SPOILER, DONT OVERREACT-------

There is a leaked image of kylo rens shuttle being escorted by some ships. The wings open up like an Imperial Shuttle, but in the movie they are halfway open. So its wings may open up to create a flat ship, or they can be something like an imperial shuttle without the sail.

LOOK AWAY IF YOU ARE ALLERGIC TO MINOR SPOILERS WHICH YOU ARE GOING TO SEE IN THE FIRST 5 MINUTES OF THE MOVIE!!!!!!!

I believe it was Johan van der Smutt, aka Goldmember, who famously said: "there is just no pleasing you..."...

Yup. The negativism here is depressing.

Sets are ugly, prices are too high.......

Yes, but im a little bit less critical

Also, is it me, are we getting grey colored weapons more than usual this wave?

I suppose kylo rens shuttle is not the typical FO shuttle and if that's the case I'll probably just get the minifigures by themselves.

The wing sliding feature on the shuttle is still kinda cool though even if it might be inaccurate to the final design. Plus it is nice that it comes with a decent amount of imperials. But the price is high..

*snip*

The sets are ugly and even if they are movie accurate than its JJs fault.

Hate the colors, if the colors are correct than its also JJs fault.

From reading this thread I know the entire two and a half hour movie frame by frame.

Some of you are way too dramatic..

1) JJ does not design every ship, character, and location in the movie.

2) the quality of Lego sets does not indicate the quality of the movie

3) Lego worked off early concept art so we don't even know how accurate these are.

4) if you don't like the sets, you can't really blame anyone until you actually see the movie.
