Hi all,

I'm interested in joining. I can't decide between MANTIS or Kawashita however! Is the game currently balanced out nicely or could one corp seriously do with some man power?

Honestly, things are kind of balanced out. Octan used to be in the lead, but Kawashita's had some good weeks. Kawashita is more open minded I would say, and we take more abstract builds, not as abstract as Octan though, Mantis is far more concrete it seems. But really, I would say it comes down to this. If you like red, and dark red bricks, join Kawashita. If you like green and lime, join Mantis.

MANTIS could certainly use the help. I think right now Octan has the best chance of winning due to having a lot of active builders and the right tech tree bonuses.

Except Mantis has a reasonable lead in total resources and in the recent past has had the most active builders.

Pick whatever corp you want, all 3 are fairly equal in terms of footing, 1 builder more for any of the corps won't upset the balance of the game.
