Tuskano Posted May 24, 2014 I don't think I posted this here. But if I did, this is mod 2 of it. Wanted to make the wings fold forward as they should in some references I know of. First version was flimsy that I designed from LDD. Had a green bubble top too that I wanted to change down the line too. Later got a new canopy for the cockpit and made the wings better to look at. They look more like armored plates which is cool. The inside. Wings open. Missing the new V-wing... I bet the next one will have the wings fold backwards! Then the rotation will be complete! You can also see where I got the new canopy from.
GuyDudeMan27 Posted May 26, 2014 This looks really cool! It looks like a stealth version of a V-Wing. Also, what ever happened to your VT-49 Decimator build? It's been a while. I cant wait to see it come together!
Corydoras Posted May 26, 2014 Sorry, but in the movie itself (Episode III) the wings rotate just like in 7915 - guns pointing down. Watch closely the scene where Emperor's shuttle lands on the platform in the Surgical Reconstruction Centre. A single V-wing lands behind the shuttle and I can clearly see how the wings rotate. The Hasbro toys got it wrong. The Hasbro version of the imperial V-wing pilot also has helmet with an open visor like the ARC-170 pilots have, which is wrong, as the V-wing pilots had sealed suits and helmets due to the lack of life support system. I cant wait to see it come together! Thanks! It is still going on.. I've been beefing up the bottom to hold everything together. Trying to figure out how to construct the sides with the escape pods and rear landing gear. Sorry, but in the movie itself (Episode III) the wings rotate just like in 7915 - guns pointing down. Yep, I saw that. It is also found pointing down in one of the dark horse comics. Hasbro didn't get it wrong. They most likely were following the model that SWG put out back in 2008, which I am following for this. I'm not sure why Sony and Lucas Arts decided on that design for a MMO, but I always liked their game design over what was in Ep 3. Yes, it should be a closed helmet because Mon Calamari don't fly V-wings. That is a rebel pilot someone wanted to include with the picture I am guessing. But no, I know what your talking about. They just included a ARC pilot with it so they would not have to design a new figure. Edited May 26, 2014 by Tuskano

It's just the wings that rotate actually, as seen in this scene in the movie; I've always liked the scissor style wings more than the movie version though, so kudos for your version.
