Mosana's custom torsos

Recommended Posts

Seeing as how Czech is pronounced "check" (at least that's what i've heard, i may be wrong), i would guess that "Czapka" is pronounced "Chap-ka" with long a's. I'm proabably wrong, but thats my best guess.

Yup, I second that. If it's a Czech word, it's pronounced like that. I've just got back from a trip in the Czech Republic, btw ;-)

I'm pretty sure it's a Polish word.

On a different note, I'm going to be gone for a month. I can do requests when I return.

Well I just asked my brother who is going to be studying Polish next year. You were right, he said it's a Polish word but is still pronounced "Chapka". I think I've made a mistake though Czapka couldn't be a Czech word at all.

These are pretty detailed. Especially the first 2 contain lots of small details.

It's interesting to have these "musical" uniforms. I'm sure they will appear in some armies.

Congrats with making your 200th torso!

Small update:

Ansbach-Bayreuth Dragoons officer:

Ansbach-Bayreuth Dragoons trooper:

This is a fairly obscure unit, but I was inspired to make bodies for them after reading about their history. At the Battle of Hohenfriedberg, the unit captured 67 (!) enemy standards, and Frederick the Great composed the famous "Hohenfriedberger March" for them to play.

But there's something I need to know, are they Prussian or Austrian?

Since Mosana mentioned Frederick the Great they will be Prussian.

Yeah, they're Prussian troops for the War of the Austrian Succession.

Ah, I see, the only Napoleonic names I know are Napoleon Bonaparte, Horatio Nelson and the Duke of Wellington...

Frederick the Great of Prussia was already dead when Napoleon was born.

However, Napoleon deeply admired Frederick and even visited his grave after he conquered Prussia.

History ON ;-)

Then that's one thing both Napoleon and I have done! I visited Sanssouci in April and saw his grave.

Also, on that note, I think I'll do Prussia for the 7 Years' War next.

Another inaccurate thing from Age of Empires III: You can choose Frederick the Great to battle Napoleon Bonaparte at the same time...

Yeah...

Age of Empires 3 is inaccurate in a wide variety of ways, but 'm not bothered much. I'd play Cossacks II if I want historical accuracy.

They've been added to the library!

Mr Mosana, would you be able to make a master and commander torso please? Like the clothes Jack Aubrey wares?

It would be highly appreciated!
