Where are people getting this Juniors set? It doesn't appear to be released in the US.

I'm severely hoping that it's just slow to come out for the US, and will come with the rest of the pirates wave. Severely.

Where are people getting this Juniors set? It doesn't appear to be released in the US.

Indeed it isn´t available on Lego.com when you choose USA as the location. If you choose Germany it is available. I got it from that page. I think eveybody bought it at Lego.de (fr, com,.....) or in official Lego stores.

Frankly I quite like the bandanna, and even prefer it to the old one...except when viewed straight on from the front. It looks terrible that way. But from all other angles, I think it looks great.

As far as a new monkey mold, I hope TLG doesn't change it, as I love the old one. However, mine is so worn out the arms don't hold their position anymore. Granted, the same is true for my older minifigs, but I don't go trying to pose them in trees...

I do, however, think a new monkey would be nice. We've got a new croc with printed eyes, and according to Brickset a new shark with printed eyes is being phased in as well. It's about time our primate relatives got eyes more like regular minifigs!

I still have just as strong feelings about the replacing of molds, etc., but these really are some not so bad sets. There are a few bits and pieces off, but over-all - there's a lot to be loved.

Also, check out the Brick Bounty - it doesn't draw attention to it, but it comes with a full skeleton body(the figurehead + the mysterious white pieces you can see in the chest, which the picture with the cook and the rat almost certainly identifies as leg pieces). Nice touch, LEGO!

Yeah, I noticed the skeleton in the instructions. I think that goes to show you that this wave really is geared toward the younger kids. That's not something they would have done before. (That particular is a good thing, of course.)

Any way I found a toy shop site here in my country and they just added the set prices.Even thought I'm suprised that both 70410 and 70411 cost 25 euro the ship tho costs 130 euro ouch

Thanks for the images. These look really great.

The lack of gold is something that bugs me but that is the only thing. But both the gold and bandana "issue" is easily fixed, using and replacing with old ones.

But strange is the choice of not using the bag with the 4 gold coins and ingot, it hasn't even been around for many years.

Hopefuly it will be fixed in some upcoming set, especially when the character descriptions say that the Govenor loves gold.

I am in complete agreement on both points.

The new bandana looks good.

In fact, I always had a strong dislike for the old one.

And the monkey is a classic.

I hope they release a new blue coats ship with one included... as well as gold coins.

Seeing box in person, sails look even more bright red, so they are most likely not compatible with those from last ship. Details on ship also look as if they are "normal" red, but I gues they just made colours too vivid.

Since everyone seems to be stating their opinion on the bandanna, based on the pictures I think the new one looks fine except from ahead. I found the old bandanna perfectly fine, but am not opposed to replacing it.

As far as the old monkeys go, I love them but they are a bit large.

I'm a bit confused as for the lack of U.S. release information, but I don't really know how TLG operates.

Yeah, as far as I've heard the Nordic countries might miss out on the Pirates this spring when it comes to regular shops. It might be that it's just delayed and we will get it later this year as has happened with a few themes before (Superheroes and Galaxy Quest I think), or we might be really unlucky and miss out completely like the CM Series 11.

The sets should still be available at S@H and are listed as being released 1st March at the moment.

When I saw the pictures for the pirate sets first come out I was quite disappointed, but these High-res pics get me excited. Glad to see bluecoats back and I can imagine myself picking up a few of the sets for sure. Lets just hope they are reasonably priced!

The only se I am really disappointed with is the Pirate ship. New molds for the base of the mast piece and the beams which the sails are put on do not have nearly as many useful pieces as did the (newer) Imperial Flagship. Still happy though that Pirates is back! Can't complain
