[HELP] Realistic 4x4 Front Axle

Now today I was just testing some ideas {of which didnt work very well } but anyway my main goal is to have a strong yet realistic front axle for my W.I.P 4x4 , so I guess the question is , has anyone come up with a good realistic front axle for a 4x4 ?

I don't really know any realistic front axles. Are you using diff's or not? I think you could make it more realistic without diff's and use lots of linkages, axles, and connectors to get a tubular look, similar to real 4x4s. By the way, do you have any pictures of what you have so far? Good Luck!

Vkyo (Victor) makes some pretty nice 4-link axles that look realistic and are very strong. 4-link suspension and a steering motor that is not on the axle is key for good looking 4x4's.

That looks good, even building in reverse Ackerman for a steering rack forward of the axle.

I think he has forgotten to add some pins.

...and wouldn't the ears on the linear actuator holder that is acting as a spindle get caught up in the wheel. You could run a pin through the linear actuator holder and the half frame that would hold it together.

LDD wouldn't let me put the 3L pins w/friction in it how I want. But that's what I came up with. I figured it could be a start, because I don't know what the final creation will be.
