[MOD] 8297 Crawler

I finally took and edited pictures of my 8297 Crawler mod, (EDIT) and uploaded a video!

Features:

• 4-Link Suspension front and rear
  
• 4WD with 2 L-Motors
  
• Front wheels steered by on-axle motor
  
• 8297 bodywork with extra lights
  
• 3rd Party Axial Ripsaw tires

LDD is finished, although there are some inaccuracies. Once I get those taken care of (with a blog post most likely), I'll publish it.

Looks great! Nice modification. Those tyres look really badass by the way, I bet they're expensive I guess you didn't retain the shock 'adjusting' functionality of the original?

Only $50 for all four I didn't keep the shock adjusting, the modded truck has more suspension travel than needed

Great revamp! One thing though is that the tires look slightly to big, but I guess that is just part of good crawling.

I've always wanted this set. Are the stock tires / rims the same that you would find on the 4x4 rock crawler? I would love to get those tires for my rock crawler.

Stock tires (the ones that came with the 8297) are the same, yes.

Just to clarify, he used the standard rims, but third party rubber on them. The standard rubber on this set are these: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=54120
