MOC: Dodge Charger 1970

Recommended Posts

My model of the vehicle is in Lego minifig scale. It is 6 studs wide (7 with fenders) and 18 studs long (19 counting the bumpers).

Unfortunately you can not put the whole minifig in it, you previously need to remove the legs. That is because the roof is very low. It can't be higher for this type of vehicle. You can put two minifigs inside sitting side by side.

The idea for the wheels I got here on EB.

Exhaust at the rear of the vehicle.

And the last photo overlooking the front and rear of the vehicle.

The pictures are now available - good looking MOC.

What have you wrapped around the Levers?

What have you wrapped around the Levers?

Lego pneumatic hose. I think it was 4mm thick. I cut up two pieces for those two levers.

That's a great design and instantly recognisable! Nice work!

You even managed to find a purpose for one CMF base. Just need to find uses for all the rest now...

Cheers

Well, now there are at least two great 1970 Chargers in minifig scale worth knowing: yours and derjoe's. I love the overall shape, especially the rear part. A good idea to lift the whole thing at the rear, adds a lot to the shape. While I am not too fond of that kind of windscreen I must admit that it has some advantages.

One suggestion: Have you ever tried to turn those tires inside out? Might be working on a muscle car like this.

Nice car! I only miss the 5 wide version you used to make! Otherwise the car is spot on!

I don't understand what you mean. Do you have an example?

Compared to 5 wide porsche 911 this one has to be 6 studs wide.

This can be done with pliers. You avoid that ugly profile that rather belongs to off-road vehicles.
